Cipher S17 Weekly Recap: First Card Reveals & Livestream Reminder!

Daily reveals for Fire Emblem Cipher Series 17 have finally begun! This week saw our first official cards of the set, starting out with Elise and Sakura. This piece has been around for some time, but this is our first time seeing the cards themselves. The art also features several other “little sisters” in the background.

Next up is our first official cards from the S17 Structured Deck. We’ve long known that Lucina would be the star of the deck, and here she is with Marth. Both of these cards are colourless! Furthermore, Yuu Kobayashi, Lucina’s VA, signed her ST+ card. One of these signed cards will come with each deck.

Three more of the cards this week are SR cards: Eirika, Marth, and Chrom. Eirika’s reveal also includes her non-promoted Cost 1 card. Marth and Chrom’s SRs feature gorgeous joined-art with more FE Lords in the background.

Round out the weeks reveals are two more foil cards: Celica and Arvis. Celica’s unpromoted card is red like usual, but her promoted card is colourless. We only get to see one card for Arvis so far, however, both yellow and promoted.

So far, these cards have been pretty emblematic of S17 itself, representing a diverse assortment of characters from throughout Fire Emblem! We’ll also be seeing many during tomorrow’s Cipher Spring Livestream! Check the official site for more details and links to watch the stream live over NicoNico or YouTube.

Michihiko Hagi (VA for Ike) and Eri Suzuki (VA for Soleil, Delthea, and Emma) will be joining as guests. In addition to showing off more S17 cards, we should also get some Cipher news, including art for upcoming sets and a look at Sai’s merchandise.

That’s all we have for now! Cipher Series 17 will release next month on 27 June. In the meantime, it’ll be an exciting month of news, reveals, and speculation. For further discussion about Cipher, feel free to join us in the Cipher subforum on the forums! You can also check out the Cipher Wiki for translations of the cards and more detailed information.
