Fire Emblem World: Daily Characters & Weekly Songs Round 6

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! As for me, I somehow ended up at a motorcycle festival, but that’s a story for another time and place. Anyway, I’m here to report the upcoming schedule for the rotating characters and songs on the Japanese Fire Emblem World website.

Last month, we covered the schedule from 22nd April to 26th May. From here, every single game that’s been released (that’s been developed by Intelligent Systems) has been featured at least once–some twice. My aim is to keep going until I’m bored or enough people shout at me.

27th May – 2nd June: Binding Blade

Featured song: Dark Priestess

Next week starts off with the second appearance of Binding Blade. The characters include the Araphen orphanage trio, a trio of promoted units (two from the Western Isles) and… Merlinus. It’s kinda like they were going for a pattern, but decided to sod it at the last minute.

3rd – 9th June: Gaiden

Featured song: World Map Ch 1 (To Zofia: Alm’s Journey)

This is the same bunch of characters from 1st – 7th April. I understand there’s a lack of Gaiden artwork, but surely they could’ve substituted in Valbar, Boey, Lutheir and Deen? At least they changed the song from Celica’s first world map to Alm’s.

10th – 16th June: Radiant Dawn

Featured song: Finale in Fear

For Radiant Dawn‘s second run, we have a very nice selection of Laguz royals! That said, I think Leanne got robbed. Also, this could have been a nice opportunity to play “Life Returns”, although it was already featured during 29th April – 5th May.

17th – 23rd June: Genealogy of the Holy War

Featured song: Prologue (Birth of the Holy Knight)

The second week of Genealogy has Seliph leading most of the remaining 1st generation characters. As you may know, Seliph is the only 2nd generation character with official artwork–not counting derivative artwork such as from Heroes and Cipher.

24th – 30th June: Heroes

Featured song: Wind of Askr

Eir spearheads round two of Heroes, followed by the remaining characters from Book II. When Heroes makes its third appearance, they may need more characters besides Hel, Líf and Thrasir. Oh wait, they could add Gustav and Henrietta too. But that’s still only 5 out of 7.

Hang on, they could use alts of the original characters or maybe even the Brave Heroes. Either way, they’re definitely not as restricted here, compared to the first four games in the series.

Disclaimer: The schedule may change without warning.
