Huh, and here I though L’Arachel was gonna be a horse dagger, didn’t expect her to be a mage. This is a pretty good banner otherwise though I do admit they are getting a little carried away with making armors for Halloween characters, a little variety wouldn’t hurt. On a side note Lillina as a child is really adorable, I wonder if she and Hector will give hints as to who her mother is considering Hector has three potential wives to choose from (he does not marry Serra I’m pretty sure despite having a ending with her).

    • I don’t consider Heroes particularly canon, but even then I doubt they would make any such reference. The other kids keep their default hair colours and seem to stay away from the topic.

      • Mason Klaus

True I won’t deny that but it would be nice if they gave hints to who the other potential parent is. Also I already got my answer cause I managed to snag Hector and Lillina (I also got Ilyana with bot characters being from the tickets everyone gets), too bad his IVs aren’t exactly all that great at +HP/-DEF, bleh. HP I’ll take but that -DEF is gonna hurt in the long run unless I’m able to snag another Hector and Lillina, not that Ilyana is much better with +SPD/-HP. X_X

        • I’m guessing that it wasn’t mentioned? That’s rather unlucky though with the pulls. Personally I always make sure to go for at least two of the character I want, just so I can erase the bane. In this banner I only want L’Arachel but I haven’t managed to get her yet though.

          • Mason Klaus

Well not through their little conversation they have between the two of them no, it’s mostly a nod to when Lillina and Roy are introduced in the Epilogue of 7 and foreshadowing Hector’s death in 6 and what Lillina will have to do in the aftermath of it. Haven’t tried doing the little “tap on the character and they’ll talk to you, laugh or grunt” yet but I’ve a feeling they won’t mention anything.

Yeah those IVs for both suck but I’ve had worse, with -ATK being the most annoying and constant one that I end up getting on most of the characters I want. Most of the Lyns I’ve gotten (I’ve got all but Bride Lyn) are either -ATK or -SPD two of her worst banes for her to even want,

Hope you’re able to get L’Arachel before the banners over with and with good IVs too. Good luck.

          • I’ve had that happen too, but quite rarely. The Thrasir I got recently was perfect with +Spd/-Def as an example of the opposite.

Anyway, I did get two of her just now in about 40 orbs, but both are +HP and -Spd/Atk. In these situations I just leave the unit in the barracks until I have one with more favourite IVs to merge into at once. There’s a quite some time left in this banner so maybe I’ll get a better one. It would be great if the next banner was an Awakening one so I can skip it too.

          • Mason Klaus

Thats pretty good for Thrasir, wasn’t able to get her or the ones I wanted off her banner sadly, got mostly 3*s and 4*s.

Nice on the L’Arachel you just got. Lucky, RNG must’ve had pity or was just being nice to you.

          • It’s looking up for sure. I got spooky Myrrh on my free summon in today’s banner as well. +Def/-Spd too. Just wish I was this lucky when it came to getting 4* copies of Tate, because I haven’t gotten a single one since May, lol.

Anyway, L’Arachel is actually really good. She slotted in perfectly in my AR defence team and has already contributed to two wins. That might be credit to the team in general though since I’ve successfully defended all 8 battles this week.

          • Mason Klaus

Wow, wish my Myrrh had that, she’s -DEF/+RES which is not the worst but not that great either. Speaking of, I got another Ilyana yesterday with better IVs, +RES/-DEF. Way better than the +SPD one thats for sure though if I hadn’t gotten that one first and this is what I got instead I’d be fine with it. Sure she’ll be a bit frailer in terms of taking physical hits but thats nothing ward armor and distant/close defense can’t patch up. Yeah Tate’s gonna be hard to get thanks to the 4* pool in general being so large now, heck Shanna’s not easy to come by either.

You’re doing better on your AR-Ds than I am thats for sure, I’m lucky to get even one win much less win all 8 within the season.

          • May I suggest merging them to get rid of her Def bane? Unless you really want to give away any of her skills her base Def is more solid than it seems with the tome’s fury effect. Personally I would give her FD/R as well for an effective +9 to her defences.

As for Tate and her sister, you’re right with that. I have the former at +7 so only three more copies are needed, and around six of the latter waiting for the day when I have nothing else to build. Last night I dreamed about the return of the fabled 4* focus banners that’s been MIA since its first appearance. It was one of the better concepts the game had imo.

          • Mason Klaus

Way ahead of you there, lol. That was an instant thing I did when I got that new Ilyana. Probably not gonna fodder her off anytime soon, not till either my current one is +10 or I get a +ATK one and +10 that one, though the +10 part isn’t gonna happen anytime soon as I don’t have any money in my google account to buy orbs and whale for her so I’ve been pretty much yoloing whenever I get 5 orbs. As for her A skill since it’s open, I actually might give her Fury or a possible breath skill. Fury because more stats = super tanky mage and she’ll also hit like a truck at the cost of 12 HP which won’t bother me cause I like having a healer tag along to keep my team healthy. Or a breath skill cause why not? It’s be similar to what you suggest in Fortress Defense/Res but without the -3 attack loss. Plus double charge for her special.

Already have my Shanna at +10 as a 4* (she’s not getting 5*ed anytime soon) and I think my Tate is like +2 or +3 not 100% sure. I honestly don’t remember that banner though thats probably cause a different banner was up at the same time and that had my attention.

          • I went a similar route with L’Arachel. I like to have solid stat increases rather than combat buffs, so with LnD and the Fury effect she has a pretty crazy 63 Atk at only +2. Since her and Ilyana share the same weapon effect the build would be functionally the same except I’d go for defences rather than offences for Ilyana.

FD/R is definitely more expensive though, but the -2 Atk is negligible. Even at base she is a slower but tankier Halloween Henry, so I don’t see much value in adding to her Spd if you aren’t planning to go for an unconventional +Spd build, in which case she could reach a respectable number. But it’s true that you’d probably get more value out of stacking Fury, so maybe just go for the cheaper option.

          • Mason Klaus

Well L’Arachel’s defense and res aren’t all that great anyways so LnD is a good fine on her and she’s fairly fast so the extra speed’s fine on her. Yikes at that 63 ATK with only +2 merges by the way. >_>

True, the extra speed is nice for to not get doubled but it’s mostly the other three stats that fury buffs. Also it’s -3 not -2 for the fortress skills.

          • Oh. I was talking about FD/R3, meaning +6 Def/Res -2 Atk. If you mean the original skills then it’s absolutely not worth it. Fury is far more useful I’d say, or even the breath skills that you mentioned.

          • Mason Klaus

Ah, you mean Cliff’s A skill. My bad, that was a misread on my part. XD. I guess thats an ok skill for her.
