Heroes: A Hero Rises 2020 Voting Gauntlet has begun! Winner will be distributed to all players!

Today’s FE Heroes update brings with it the beginning of probably the most important event in Heroes to date, A Hero Rises 2020 Finals Voting Gauntlet, where a copy of the winner will be gifted to every player!

The eight contenders are the top eight of the AHR2020: Mythic Altina, New Year’s Alfonse & Sharena, Mythic Sothis, Legendary Leif, Winter Sothis, Legendary Azura, Legendary Alm, and Edelgard. Also, there is no 1.1x bonus for using the same unit as the army you have joined. So, fight for who you want in your barracks!

The event is already underway and will come to an end on the 5th of March 3:59am UTC. If you’re like me and haven’t felt particularly inspired by Voting Gauntlet events for a while and cared more about the feathers they pump out, maybe these stakes will rekindle that flame.

Also today, there is information on the next version update that lands early March.

The update includes news on the Compile Combat Manual feature, the next batch of Heroes to receive new weapons and/or refines, Aether Raids and Aether Resort updates, additional Heroes added via Heroic Grails, amongst other things. Click on “Read more” below to see what’s coming.

Compile Combat Manuals

This new feature is what we’ve been playing Mjolnir’s Strike for and gathering those Divine Codes for. However, there will be more types of Divine Codes coming into play.

Divine Codes (Part 1)

These are considered the normal Divine Codes, and are yellow in colour. There will be a new menu under “Allies” called “Compile,” then tap on “Normal” to view a list of Combat Manuals you can compile using your Divine Codes.

The total cost to complete a particular line of Combat Manuals looks to be 6,000 Divine Codes, with the first to cost 400, and each subsequent Manual to cost 400 more than the last, up to the final Manual costing 2,000.

As you can expect, the more powerful skills and Heroes are towards the end of each row, and you must compile all manuals in order from left to right to reach the final Manual in each row.

You can beging any path at any time as long as you have the Codes to do so; you are not locked into a single path once it is begun.

Everyone will receive 1,500 Divine Codes once the feature is released, so it will be a significant boost to the Codes we may have already managed to scrape together by playing Mjolnir’s Strike.

– Divine Codes (Ephemera)

These are red in colour. They are used to compile limited Combat Manuals, which will be under “Llimited-Time” in the “Compile” menu. Here there are no unlock paths, so you can compile any manual you want, given you have the Ephemera to do so.

These Combat Manuals are the Limited-time choices for Ephemera 3 only: Spring Camilla, Spring Kagero, Barst, Shanna, Silvia, Oscar, and Soleil.

The limited-time manuals will be swapped out with each major (monthly) game version update. In Ver.4.3.0 Ephemera 3 can be collected and used for that month’s limited-time manuals.

However, you have only until the 28th day of the month following that version’s release to use Limited Divine Codes. E.g., Ephemera 3 are only able to be compiled into the above limited-time manuals until the 28th of April 6:59am UTC.

Ephemera will be obtainable via various future events. However it is not possible to convert one version of Ephemera into another, and you cannot use Ephemera 3 to unlock limited-time manuals that require Ephemera 4 to be compiled, and vice versa.

Weapon Refinery update

The next batch of weapon refines are coming in.

They include a Laid-Back Blade for Gray, a Jubilant Blade for Tobin, a Veteran Lance for Jagen, and Green-tome Olwen‘s Thunderhead will receive a Refine upgrade.

Aether Raids upgrades and additions

Infantry, Armour, Cavalry, Flier Schools will their level caps increased to 7.

New music in the Aether Resort Concert Hall: “Let’s Go, Leif!” from Thracia 776, “The Task at Hand” from Radiant Dawn, and “People of the Marketplace” from Three Houses.

Mjolnir’s Strike

Dokkalfar Briar will have its level cap raised to 4.

Heroic Grails additions

Travant: King of Thracia, and Itsuki: Finding a Path will be added to the Heroic Grails pool.

Other

If you’re not a Feh Pass holder, then the number of completed Feh Pass Quests that usually shows up above the fountain will not include the number of completed Feh Pass quests.

Finally, “No Duo Skill Animation” will be added to the options menu.
