We’re coming to another month soon, which means another version update for Fire Emblem Heroes! Version 5.3.0 is expected to arrive on 3rd March 2021, at 11 pm (UTC).
Without further ado, here’s the list of changes…
Addition of Divine Codes (Part 2)
A new series of standard (yellow paper) Divine Codes will be added: Divine Codes (Part 2). After the update (and each new season begins), all rewards that gave Divine Codes (Part 1) will give the new ones instead.
Divine Codes (Part 2) can be used to compile Heroes from the newly-added “Normal 2” category, which also includes Heroes from Three Houses (among many others).
Note that you can continue to use Divine Codes (Part 1) to compile the original set of “Normal 1” Heroes. On top of that, if you don’t have enough Divine Codes (Part 1), you can pay the remainder using Divine Codes (Part 2).
Tempest Trials+
“Target Score” will be added. There are 5 levels of Target Score; the first time your high score surpasses a Target Score, you’ll receive a bonus to your Cumulative Score.

The stage select screen will also be updated to display your cumulative score, next cumulative score reward, high score and the next Target Score along the top.
Aether Raids
Tier 39 will be added.
Starting from the next season following the update, if you finish the season in Tiers 38 to 39, you will resume from Tier 31 during the next season.
Upon reaching the Vault of Heaven (Tiers 29 and above), your class will change from Exos to Ásgarðr. Also, there will be a special Vault of Heaven background during Aether Raids.
An Auto-Create function will be added to the “Edit Raiding Party” and “Defense Team” menus. Lift gain will be prioritised for forming raiding parties, while Lift loss will be prioritised for making defense teams.
The Healing Tower (O and D) can be upgraded to Level 8.
New songs will be added to the Aether Resorts Concert Hall:
- One Heart: Eliwood’s Theme (Blazing Blade)
- Brother and Sister (Shadows of Valentia)
Friends List
At long last, you can add a total of 150 friends, up from 100. That is all.
Limited-Time Combat Manuals
New events after the update may award Divine Codes (Ephemera 3), used for redeeming the following manuals:
- 5-star: Spring Marisa and Morgan (F)
- 4-star: Dancer Eldigan, Shanna, Barst, Echidna and Forrest
Weapon Refinery
These lucky Heroes will be receiving new refine options:
- Ayra: Ayra’s Blade
- Nowi: Grimoire
- Lyon: Naglfar
- L’Arachel: Ivaldi
- Ishtar: Mjölnir
Observant Summoners may have spotted Lyon’s Naglfar refine in the recent music compilation video.
Mjolnir’s Strike
The Shield Phase will last 2 days instead of 1 day. Now it’s less easy to forget about defending Askr!
The Summoner Aflame can be upgraded to Level 4.
Heroic Grails
These strapping fellows will be added to the Heroic Grails shop:
- Veld: Manfroy’s Rock
- Kris: Ardent Firebrand
Other
In the Catalog of Heroes, you will be able to view Level Up dialogue. Handy if you max out a Hero with crystals, for instance.
There will be an in-game link to visit the “Learn with Sharena” website.
A link to the Pawns of Loki explanation on the FE Heroes website will be added to the Help window.
A bug where the My Summoner’s greeting reverts to the default greeting will be resolved.
