Heroes: “Perilous Seas” Trailer (Extra Movement Buffs, Beware!)

As promised during the recent Summer Feh Channel, the trailer for this year’s pirate-themed Special Heroes has landed! “Perilous Seas” will be active between 5th August and 5th September 2021 (UTC).

The featured Heroes include Surtr, Naesala, Vika and Duo Hinoka and Camilla. Following Freyja’s seasonal debut, I was curious who the next seasonal villain would be (would Halloween Hel be too obvious?). Also, it’s nice to have Naesala to pair with last year’s pirate Tibarn.

Speaking of Naesala, the Raven King comes with the new Stall Ploy skill, which restricts the movement of foes with an extra movement buff. This should make it easier to handle threats such as Legendary Sigurd.

Besides those four, Lifis: Terror of Iz can be obtained from the upcoming “Ice & Flame 2” Tempest Trials event, alongside the Spur Atk/Def 1 and Steady Breath Sacred Seals.

Lifis himself also comes with the Helmsman Axe+ (Atk/Spd/Def/Res -4 to foe during combat), Swap, Wind Boost 3 and Windsweep 3.

Surtr: Pirate of Red Sky

Type: Blue Lance Armor
Voice: –

Weapon: Sea-Sear Lance – Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count -1). If foe initiates combat or if foe’s HP >= 75% at start of combat, inflicts Atk/Def -6 on foe during combat, and also, if foe can make a follow-up attack, reduces damage from foe’s first attack during combat by 75%.
Special: Bonfire
A: Def/Res Ideal 4 – At start of combat, if unit’s HP = 100% or [Bonus] is active on unit, grants Def/Res +7 to unit during combat. At start of combat, if unit’s HP = 100% and [Bonus] is active on unit, grants an additional Def/Res +2 to unit during combat.
[Bonus] All effects that last “for 1 turn” or “that turn only.” Includes bonuses granted by a skill like Rally or Hone and positive status effects (extra movement or effects like Dominance).
B: Crafty Fighter 3
C: Surtr’s Potent – At start of turn, if unit is within 4 spaces of a foe, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res -5 on closest foes through their next actions and grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res +5 to unit for 1 turn.

Naesala: Sea’s Shadow

Type: Red Beast Flier

Weapon: Crossbones Claw – Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count -1). If unit is not adjacent to an ally, inflicts Spd/Def -6 on foe and neutralizes effects that prevent unit’s follow-up attacks during combat.
If unit is not adjacent to an ally and unit initiates combat while transformed, unit can make a follow-up attack before foe can counterattack.
At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or if unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, unit can move 1 extra space. (That turn only. Does not stack.) If unit transforms, grants Atk +2.
Special: Glimmer
A: Atk/Spd Solo 4
B: S/D Near Trace 3
C: Stall Ploy 3 – At start of turn, inflicts [Stall] on foes in cardinal directions with HP < unit’s HP.
[Stall] – If unit has “unit can move 1 extra space.” converts that effect into “restricts movement to 1 space” through its next action.

Vika: Sea-Dark Wing

Weapon: Ebon-Pirate Claw – Grants Res +3. At start of turn, if any foe’s Res < unit’s Res and that foe is adjacent to another foe, inflicts Def/Res -7 on that foe through their next actions. At start of combat, if foe’s HP >= 75%, grants Atk/Spd/Res +5 to unit during combat.
At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or if unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, unit can move 1 extra space. (That turn only. Does not stack.) If unit transforms, grants Atk +2.

A: Spd/Res Solo 3

Hinoka: Fair Pirate Pair

Type: Green Bow Flier

Weapon: Mermaid Bow – Effective against flying and armored foes. Grants Atk +3. At start of combat, if unit’s HP >= 25%, grants Atk/Spd +6 to unit during combat and calculates damage using the lower of foe’s Def or Res, and also, if unit initiates combat, unit’s Spd > foe’s Spd, and unit has weapon-triangle advantage, unit attacks twice.
Assist: Harsh Command+
A: Atk/Spd Push 4
B: S/R Far Trace 3
C: Def/Res Rein 3 – Inflicts Def/Res -4 on foes within 2 spaces during combat.

Duo Skill: Grants Atk/Spd +6 to unit and flying allies within 3 rows and 3 columns centered on unit, and they can move 1 extra space. (That turn only. Does not stack.)
Inflicts [Gravity] on bow, dagger, tome and staff foes within 3 rows and 3 columns centered on unit if they are also infantry, armored and cavalry foes.
[Gravity: Restricts target’s movement to 1 space through its next actions.]
(Duo Skills can be used once per map by tapping the Duo button. Duo skills cannot be used by units deployed using Pair Up.)
