Heroes: Special Heroes (Unlikely Friends) brings a Tiny Tellius team to the fray on April 7

It’s high time for our next low-in-age units to join the brigade, and this time, we’re graced with a slew of Tellius inspired units, all of which have connections to each other via the Greil Mercenaries. This, and just a bit more, come in the Unlikely Friends Special Heroes banner!

This banner features a few interesting inheritable skills, including the next Distant Counter but with a stat boost skill, Distant Dart (boosting Speed). There is also the new -Tempo skill line, which is similar to Special Fighter 3, that protects a unit from Special Cooldown altering abilities, and also grants a stat advantage. The Spd/Def Tempo 3 appears on an Infantry unit this time around, so I wonder what unit movement types will be allowed to use this skill. Speaking of skills, we have another rare Colorless Tome with Soren.

Additionally, Boyd: Future Great, makes his debut in Heroes, and much to no one’s surprise, is a green axe infantry. He is a free unit, earnable in the upcoming Tempest Trials+ event as reward unit.

Finally, Ilyana: Awakened Appetite, will be available in the 4* Focus pool.

Special Heroes (Unlikely Friends) will run from April 7 until May 6.

Mia: Budding Blade, a Red Sword Infantry

  • Sharp War Sword
    • 16 Mt | 1 Rng
    • Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count -1).
    • If a skill compares unit’s Spd to a foe’s or ally’s Spd, treats unit’s Spd as if granted +10.
    • At start of turn, if unit is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants [Null Follow-Up] and [Dodge] to unit for 1 turn.
    • If unit initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res +5 to unit during combat.

  • Adroit War Tome
    • 14 Mt | 2 Rng
    • Accelerates special trigger (cooldown count -1).
    • At start of combat, if unit’s HP >= 25%, grants Atk/Res +6 to unit during combat and the following effects will occur based on the value of unit’s Res – foe’s Res;
      • If >= 1, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack.
      • If >= 5, if foe uses Sword/Lance/Axe/Bow/Dagger/Beast damage weapon, foe cannot counterattack.
      • If >= 10, reduces the percentage of foe’s non-Special “Reduce damage by X%” skills by 50%.
        • For example, a foe with “Reduces damage by 45%” skills will have that reduce by 23% instead.

    • Grants Res +3.
    • If foe initiates combat or foe’s HP >= 75% at start of combat, inflicts Atk/Res -6 on foe during combat, and also, if unit’s Res > foe’s Res, reduces damage from attacks during combat and from area-of-effect Specials by % = difference between stats x 4 (max 40% and also, if unit’s Res >= foe’s Res +5, foe cannot make a follow-up attack.
      • % reduction does not apply to Rokkr Area-of-effect specials.

Ike (and Mist): Close-Knit Siblings, a Red Sword Infantry

  • Duo Skill:
    • Inflicts Atk/Spd -7 and [Guard] on foes within 5 rows or 5 columns centered on unit through their next actions, and inflicts Special cooldown count +2 on those foes
    • Can be used one per map.
  • Sturdy War Sword
    • 16 Mt | 1 Rng
    • Grants Atk +3.
    • At start of combat, if unit’s HP >= 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res +5 to unit during combat, and if unit’s attack triggers Special, the following effects will occur based on the number of allies within 4 spaces of unit:
      • If >=1, before unit’s first attack, grants Special cooldown count -X to unit
        • X = 50% of unit’s Max special cooldown count value, rounded down.
      • If >=2, reduces damage from foe’s first attack by X%
        • X = unit’s Max special cooldown count value x 10.
      • If >=3, neutralizes effects that guarantee fowe’s follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit’s follow-up attacks.
