Continued in this post.
The Nintendo Today! app has started sharing the Fortune’s Weave character profiles, previously shared on Twitter.
Most of the information is the same, but now in English. Also, we now know the English voice actors. Besides that, the videos are much higher quality!
However, it’s not possible to share posts from Nintendo Today! outside the app, so we had to get a little bit creative…
Quick links: Cai | Dietrich | Theodora | Leda
19th July: Tialla
English VA: Madeleine Morris
A tactical genius whose skillful strategizing lets her put allies’ abilities to good use.
Likes: Libraries, gossiping about love, alone time, her grandfather
Interests: Reading, playing board games
Credits to tipperthescales for the video.
Note: Please refer to Tialla’s Twitter post for more information.
Firstly, her name is officially Tialla in the English version. I’m kinda lazy to change her name in earlier articles, so if you see “Tiara”, that’s her.
Somewhat clear look at dark-skinned brawler seen in Cai’s group, plus guy with toothpick who’s currently a green unit.
In the new video, Ultand seems to be in a higher level mage class (pictured on the right). Probably the same one as brown haired lady here and blonde haired lady here.
Unlike the Twitter post, no heart icons appear when Tialla is selected. This could be a UI toggle.
Sadly, they skipped the first part where Tialla used a buffing combat art. I wanted to know the English names. Instead, it only shows the Assists.
Compared to the Twitter post, Tialla doesn’t have a recovery boost. So her recovery is 14 versus 24.
Also, disappointingly, we don’t hear any real voice clips. The Japanese Today video has her unit selection quote at the start.
At the end, Tialla gains 15 exp and some proficiency exp for Faith. In the Twitter post, she gained 22 exp and proficiency exp for Faith and Infantry. Also, she has no shield here.
Lastly, despite the same setup, there’s 4 more enemies in this new video, including two more commanders. Perhaps they’re playing on different difficulty? Could explain why Tialla is gaining less exp here as well.
18th July: Leda
English VA: Katiana Sarkissian
A dancer and player of enchanting music, she avoids counterattacks with ease and grace.
Likes: Memories of her parents, songs from home, gemstones, applause
Interests: Tuning her vihuela, taking long horseback rides

Note: Please refer to Leda’s Twitter post for more information.
Here’s a slightly clearer look at dark-skinned guy with face markings and blonde ponytail girl.
Curiously, Leda’s inventory is different. She doesn’t have the cursed Rakshashi’s Piercing Fan from the Twitter post. Instead, she’s got a Venin Bow and Iron Sword.
I went back and checked Cai’s Today gameplay. It’s slightly harder to tell due to Leda’s different angle, but she’s still holding what seems to be Rakshashi’s Piercing Fan.
Also, no heart icons appear when Leda is selected. This could be a UI toggle, since some of Dietrich’s gameplay was lacking heart icons. This could be hiding that Leda can support with Theodora.
Leda’s foe is officially a Silver Knight. Not many ways you could translate that. Maybe Argent Knights, haha.
Also, Leda’s combat stats are slightly different versus the Twitter post. Phys 23 vs 24, Hit 102 vs 98. However, she has better Damage, Hit and Crit numbers in the forecast versus the Twitter post. Her skills seem the same. Perhaps the enemy has different stats?
Here’s a clearer look at the pegasus foe in the top-right corner. Is that a gauge under the flying type icon? Thanks to BenFM for the tip!
17th July: Theodora
English VA: Shara Kirby
The dauntless queen of Saramis.
Her unyielding resolve allows her to rise to any challenge.
Likes: Fighting, seeing the people of Saramis thrive
Interests: Hunting, combat training

Note: Please refer to Theodora’s Twitter post for more information.
Here’s our best look at the mysterious cat mask person’s portrait.
The new gambit used by Theodora is officially Disturbing Volley. Instead of “very effective”, it’s described as “effective+”. Effective+ bonus is indicated by a red icon with 2 up arrows. Standard effective bonus is a yellow icon with 1 up arrow.
Also, Disturbing Volley has improved stats compared to the Twitter post. Uses 2 vs 1, Phys 16 vs 15 and Hit 105 vs 86. We know from Esmeralda’s showcase that there are materials for enhancing combat arts. So maybe gambits can be enhanced in a similar manner?
Curiously, Blaze Arts are greyed out, although everything else seems the same (such as Theodora’s Blaze gauge).
Theodora’s foe is officially a Gaia Brigadier. Also, Diviner is the confirmed name for the common mage class that Tiara, Fabio and Bonaparte belong to. It was last seen in FE Fates.
After combat, Theodora gains 75 exp and proficiency exp for Authority only. In the Twitter post, she gained 49 exp and proficiency exp for Infantry and Authority.
16th July: Dietrich
English VA: Xander Mobus
A foreign swordsman who duels to slake his thirst.
His blade bathes his foes in a deadly light.
Likes: Objects of beauty, sweet things, his little sister
Interests: Fighting the strong, meditating
Credits to tipperthescales for the video.
Note: Please refer to Dietrich’s Twitter post for more information.
Firstly, the music here is different compared to the Twitter post. If you check the Japanese version of the Nintendo Today video, the music is also different. So it seems they recorded new, but very similar footage for Nintendo Today.
Actually, here’s a comparison of the footage. I synchronised it with when the player selects Dietrich to move. Despite the same setup and moves, the footage is different.
Here’s the English text for Dietrich’s combat arts. The 4th art is officially Lightning Strike.
Dietrich’s foe is Bride’s Companion in the English version. Unlike in Cai’s showcase, this is 1:1 with the Japanese name.
Also, the enemy class is Armored Ornius Rider. I translated this as Cavalry-ornius Rider, but I did actually consider Armoured-ornius rider. The Japanese name is along the lines of Cavalry-armoured-ornius rider, but that’s a mouthful so I had to focus on something–and I focused on the cavalry aspect.
Their weapon is a Da Mina Axe. Also a 1:1 translation.
Here’s a better look at the enemy commander. He has interesting face markings around the top of his head. His portrait hasn’t appeared anywhere else, so presumably he’s an enemy you must defeat (and cannot recruit).
Finally, here’s a clearer look at Dietrich’s skills. First one is Murderous Intent. Sixth one is Crest of Lamine. The others, your guess is as good as mine. Fourth one is probably Sword Prowess Lv 2. Maybe the last one is Swordfaire, while the enemy may have Axefaire. Third one could be Axebreaker, maybe? Enemy does have really low Hit.
15th July: Cai
English VA; Zeno Robinson
A lively boy who is motivated by love for his family.
He takes naturally to battlefield action.
Likes: Physical training, catching animals
Interests: Fishing, spear training
Credits to tipperthescales for the video.
Note: Please refer to Cai’s Twitter post for more information.
Here’s our best look at the dark-skinned brawler’s portrait. It’s still not ideal, but if you’ve forgotten what it looked like previously, here you go.
The next time they appear is during Tiara’s showcase; at that point, their portrait isn’t greyed out.
In the English version, Cai’s enemy is called “Sister of Bragança” instead of “Brotherhood Member”. Although “Brotherhood” is gender-neutral, so it could also be interpreted as “Sisterhood” (hence, “Sister”).
Bragança is a real city in Portugal, but it’s also a location in the Melias territory on the Dagdan world map.
Also, here’s a clearer look at Cai and his enemy’s skills. As noted earlier, Cai has two crests here: Aubin and Gautier.
