28th July: Lilian
Two Theodora recruits in a row!
Japanese VA: Shuka Saitō
A young Saraminian archer. Values money above all else and often lacks manners, even towards her liege, Theodora. Yet her archery skill is undeniable. Her background is slightly complicated; she hails from a renowned family, but her father lost his title after the civil war.
Likes: Gold coins, jewels, older men
A scene where Theodora is questioned about a “certain matter”. Lilian, who isn’t afraid of her queen, and Theodora, who lends her ear even to a common soldier. Since they both treat others as equals, they may be more similar than it seems.
Lilian’s gameplay video has been delayed, likely due to the recent earthquake in Japan.
Update (30th July): Now it’s here.
During battle, Lilian excels at launching one-sided attacks with her long-ranged bow. When she shoots from a position where an enemy cannot counterattack, her personal skill “Play it Safe” triggers, boosting her hit rate.
Note: Please check Lilian’s Nintendo Today post for more info.
Profile
Like Lysander, Lilian comes from a noble family, except it seems like her family’s name has been tarnished or worse, stripped of its status. This probably plays into her money-grabbing nature; maybe she needs the money to restore her family or keep it afloat.
Also, another character with men as an interest (Esmeralda likes handsome men). Although to be fair, we’ve got Sirocco who likes all women. Besides that, she and Leda both like jewels.

Theodora: Here is fine. Thanks for joining me.
Lilian: Oh, it’s over. Then, could I ask you about something?
Theodora: …What’s up with you, all of a sudden. Fine, spit it out.
Lilian: My job is to fight with you in the Heroic Games, right, Lady Theodora? I thought being a bodyguard for an outing wasn’t included?
Theodora: So you’d like to turn down the bodyguard work?
Lilian: That’s not it. I’ll do it if you ask me. I’m not in a position to refuse anyway. But, this is extra work. So I’d like to be rewarded accordingly.
Theodora: …I see. In other words, money.
Lilian: When I think about how I’m working for free, my heart’s not really into it, you know? …Well, you might not really understand that, Lady Theodora.
Theodora: …Very well. I’ll grant you additional pay. I’ll have a servant deliver it.
Lilian: As expected of Lady Theodora! Thanks a lot!
Theodora: Hmph… Quite the attitude for a common soldier. You’re a gutsy woman.
Lilian: …So what? Are you gonna punish me?
Theodora: No, your opinion is valuable. I’ll keep this in mind when considering how to treat the troops.
Lilian: Huh… I see.

We don’t learn anything about Lilian’s background, but it’s nice to see the liege and subordinate getting along.
Gameplay
Here, Lilian is an Archer, similar to Peter. She’s also in a similar jungle map.
The map is the same one from Lysander’s showcase. This time, we’re nearer the top. Judging by the position of the units, Lysander hasn’t moved yet. As a reminder, here’s the units on the map.
Lilian is Level 22 wielding a Wind Bow +1.
She moves next to Tobias and the new blue-haired ornius rider to attack. Her Wind Bow is a C-rank bow containing the power of a wind spirit. When attacking first, the unit gains 3 Avoid. That seems like a tiny avoid bonus, considering Lilian’s gaining 30 Avoid from the Forest tile.
Also, the wind spirit is interesting. In Radiant Dawn, you end up fighting elemental spirits. There are also spirits mentioned in Jugdral and Elibe. I don’t remember any spirits in the world of Three Houses though.
Other weapons include Horseslayer Bow, Iron Bow and Longbow. Horseslayer Bow is effective against mounted.
Her foe is a Har Hali Warrior, a Soldier wielding an Iron Sword. Lilian has 7 skills, but no visible crest. She also has support bonuses from Tobias and the new ornius rider.
I figured when the support banners were small that they could stack, but for some reason I expected them to stack vertically, rather than horizontally. Because presumably you can have up to 4 support partners, if you’re a ranged unit with units on all 4 sides.
At the start of combat, Lilian’s Play it Safe triggers. This was the first (left-most) skill. But also the last skill, along the lines of “This feels nice”, triggers.
Similar to Lysander, Lilian gains 12 exp. Plus proficiency exp for Bow and Infantry.
Afterwards, she gains support points with Tobias and the ornius rider. The ornius rider is the one who responds.
27th July: Lysander
One of Theodora’s allies.
Japanese VA: Junichi Yanagita
A genius Saraminian knight. Hails from a renowned family; his uncle serves as chancellor, and his father is a great warrior whose name is etched in the kingdom’s history. He’s loyal and capable, but his desire to succeed without relying on his family can cause him to act rashly.
Likes: Gazing at the sky
A scene where Theodora and the others begin preparations for the Heroic Games. Lysander, who’s serious and values etiquette, seems concerned about Lilian’s attitude, since she’s also been chosen to compete…
During battle, he excels at gaining the first strike by taking advantage of his mounted mobility. After defeating an enemy, his Acceleration skill triggers, causing his Speed stat to gradually increase.
Note: Please see Lysander’s Nintendo Today post for more info.
Profile
Lysander comes from a pretty big name family. His family is the current chancellor of Saramis, while his father is a legendary warrior. No wonder he feels overshadowed and wants to make a name for himself.

Bonaventure: Oh yes, Your Majesty. About the Heroic Games participants you ordered for. We have made selections based on your request for outstanding individuals, regardless of background or stature.
Lysander: I am Lysander Kratos. I am honored to receive such an opportunity! Thus, in order to fulfill Your Majesty’s expectations, I shall fight at my absolute best.
Theodora: The son of Kratos, I see. Many were saved by his actions in the Gráinne War. Saramis’ warriors often speak of your father’s exploits. May you work hard to not sully the name.
Lilian: …Hey. I’m Lilian Tabiza. I’ll do my best for as much as I’m paid. I’ll be in your care for that.
Lysander: Wha? What’s with that attitude to Her Majesty? How rude!
Lilian: It’s fine, isn’t it? The only thing expected of me is in combat. I’ll make sure to contribute to that. So I’ll be taking my leave now.
Theodora: …She seems an interesting one.
Lysander: My apologies, Your Majesty. I’ll give her a stern talking to later.
Credits to SatsumaFS via Reddit

We learn that red-haired archer girl is Lilian, plus both of their full names: Lysander Kratos and Lilian Tabiza (or Tabitha).
Of note, Lysander’s father is called Kratos. So his surname is his father’s name, that’s how legendary his father was.
Besides that, there was a war in the past called the Gráinne War. There’s a similarly named NPC in Genealogy of the Holy War called Grahnye. She was the wife of Eldigan the Lionheart and Tobias is called the Lionheart of Saramis. So funny coincidence.
Gameplay
Lysander is currently in the Light Cavalry class. This is a horseback class that seems to wield Sword, Lance and Axe. It has a proficiency bonus for Lance and Riding.
In the June trailer, some folks were wondering if there were zebras. Well, that’s definitely a zebra or maybe a zebra-patterned horse. Because pretty sure you can’t ride zebras. That said, fantasy zebras could be different.
Meanwhile, backdrop looks look like a jungle with ruins scattered around.
Here’s the map. There’s fog of war. Above Lysander looks like a gun turret…
There’s eight units on the map. Theodora, Bonaventure, Tobias, Lysander, Lilian, Alexandra, brown-haired woman and a new, blue(?) haired Ornius Rider.
Update (28th July): Alexandra has been seen dining with Cai, while the brown-haired woman was also spotted in Cai’s party, so they may be recruitable characters.
Lysander is Level 22 with an Iron Lance, Javelin and Iron Axe. He seems to have 6 movement. Which is the same as Ornius Rider. Also, Theodora seems to be an Armored Knight here. The two enemies near Lysander both have a yellow item icon, indicating an item drop.
Lysander’s foe is a… No idea how to spell their name. A Hal Haley soldier? It’s a similar naming scheme as the Bahr Vahn soldiers in Bonaventure’s showcase. Presumably Hal Haley is someone’s name. Anyway, the opponent is a Hunter wielding a Venin Bow.
Lysander has three skills, but no crest. Which is a bit surprising to me; of all the Saraminians, I figured he’d have a crest, since his uncle and father are so famous. I guess they’re just that amazing, unless Lysander didn’t inherit their crest. But nah, I think he’d have an even bigger inferiority complex if that happened!
In the top-left corner, Lysander seems to have a support bonus with Theodora.
During the battle, Lysander’s first skill triggers, which is along the lines of Dash Attack.
After defeating the enemy, Lysander gains 12 exp and proficiency exp for Lance and Riding.

Back on the map, Lysander obtains an Antidote. Besides curing poison, it also prevents poison for 3 turns.
Next, he gains support points with Theodora. Finally, his personal(?) skill Acceleration triggers.
24th July: Mikaela
One of Dietrich’s allies.
Japanese VA: Hiromi Hirata
An ex-mercenary who came to Dagsion to fund her only daughter’s education. She was once a formidable warrior known as “Mikaela the Ironblood”, her name even reaching Buccar, the “Demon Bear of Baphos”.
Likes: Taking care of others, brewing tasty coffee
A scene where Mikaela joins Dietrich’s group. Although the four of them met together by chance, their teamwork seems promising in many ways.
Mikaela excels at close-quarters combat. When adjacent to an enemy, her personal skill “Veteran Warrior” triggers, boosting the hit rate of her attacks.
Note: Please see Mikaela’s Nintendo Today post for more info.
Profile
Mikaela having a daughter is interesting. Some fans have pointed out that the red-haired brawler seen in Leda’s party has similar hair and eye colours.
Personally, I’m not too convinced, especially since the two are in different parties. It’d be hella awkward if the two met up–the mother’s fighting for her education, while she’s fighting for another woman’s revenge. Then again, we did have Brom and Meg in Radiant Dawn…
Mikaela being a famed ex-mercenary is also interesting. Enough that Buccar/Buccaneer knew about her.
Besides that, Mikaela and Ultand share the same interest of taking care of people. One as a mother and the other as a big sister.

Mikaela: If you guys are joining the tournament, mind counting me in?
Esmeralda: Even though your look reminds me of my mom, you seem really used to fighting.
Mikaela: I’m Mikaela Augustus. Believe it or not, I used to be a somewhat well-known mercenary. I retired to rear my child, but I came here because I need to earn some money. That’s how I got involved with that guy and got caught in a pinch there. I’m in your debt for saving me. I have to send my daughter her allowance, so I’d be grateful if I could earn enough for just that.
Dietrich: …Very well. Speak to this man about the money.
Fabio: Well, increasing the number of locals accompanying us is fine. More than that, you seem far more useful than a noisy, dim-witted and barbaric young woman.
Esmeralda: You talking about me?! You always have too many unnecessary comments!
Credits to SatsumaFS via Reddit
In this scene, we have Mikaela meeting Dietrich, Fabio and Esmeralda. There’s also the pink haired woman seen with Leda, but she doesn’t seem to be part of the group/conversation. Perhaps she’s a liaison or similar?
Also, the location seems to be the tavern where Sirocco was eyeing Leda.
Mikaela’s full name is Mikaela Augustus. Some of you may remember that Tialla’s surname seems to be August. However, I don’t think the two are related, although it’s a funny coincidence that Tialla is into studying. We only hear Tialla say her surname, but I cannot hear a “su” sound at the end to make it Augustus.
Gameplay
Here, Mikaela is a Brigand. It has a proficiency exp bonus in Axe.
The map is a pretty empty desert, although there’s some bones and boulders scattered around. We’ve seen desert maps here and here.
There are 6 units on the map. Dietrich, Fabio, Esmeralda, Mikaela herself, guy with fierce eyebrows and beard and guy with orange streaks in hair. Fierce eyebrows guy seems to be the 5th member to join. During the combat forecast showcase, he’s the 5th and final member there.
Mikaela is Level 23 here with an Iron Axe. She seems to have 5 movement, with the desert costing 2 movement (and reducing Avoid by 20). Brigand is probably an Intermediate-tier class like in Three Houses, but it’s interesting that it’s no longer proficient in Brawling.
Her inventory includes an Iron Axe, Short Axe and Smash Axe.
Her foe is a Ruffian, in the Charioteer class, wielding an Iron Bow.
Mikaela has a whopping 7 skills. First two we’ll see during combat, third one looks like Axe Hit +5 or something, fourth one not sure but it appears a lot, a skill I thought was Axebreaker but foe isn’t wielding a sword, Axe Prowess and maybe Axefaire. No crest.
Charioteer has an unknown skill that was visible in the debut trailer.
The first two skills trigger at the start of combat. Veteran Warrior, her personal skill which boosts Hit during melee combat, and Ironblood, as in “Mikaela the Ironblood”.
Afterwards, she gains 10 exp and some proficiency exp for Axe and Infantry.
23rd July: Ultand
One of Cai’s allies.
Japanese VA: Konomi Inagaki
A young priestess serving at the Aurora Temple at the upper levels of Dagsion. Kind and caring, she watches over Cai–who’s competing in the gruelling Heroic Games with his childhood friends–like a younger brother, always ready to help him out.
Likes: Taking care of others, family, all types of housework, romance stories
Dialogue scene.
A scene where Cai and his friends sign up for the Heroic Games with Ultand. Since the festival draws people from across the continent, Ultand–who usually works at the temple–is temporarily assisting the registration staff.
Some gameplay.
During battle, she can fight enemies while also healing her allies. As her proficiency increases, she can also learn white magic that’s effective against enemies with Underworld Boon.
Note: Please refer to Ultand’s Nintendo Today post for more info.
Profile
I kind of figured from Cai’s dialogue in the Japanese version of the June trailer, but Ultand is Cai’s big sister figure.
The Aurora Temple is intriguing. Could “Aurora” be the name of a goddess? We already know of a Goddess Karla from Sirocco’s profile.
Dialogue
Transcript:
Cai: Excuse me! Uh, this is how you do it, right?
Ultand: Hehe. Yes, what’s going on?
Cai: We want to join the Heroic Games, is this where we sign up?
Ultand: We’ve already reached the maximum number of teams, and sign-ups closed a little while ago…
Tialla: Oh no! Couldn’t you fit just one more team?
Pieter: We really need to enter! …Though it’s a bit scary.
Ultand: No. Rules are rules. Also, you guys are just kids. You’ll get hurt if you get into a match. Don’t make your families worry.
[Refuse to back down]
Cai: Um, is there really nothing we can do? I really need to join the Heroic Games to save my dad!
Ultand: Hmm… Let’s see… Actually, they’ve decided they will open up extra spots at the end of this month. They’ll test the candidates to see if they have what it takes to join.
Cai: I see! Thanks a lot!
Ultand: It’s at noon on the last day of the month! Don’t mess that up! They left… I wonder if those kids will be alright. But… for his father’s sake, huh. That sort of thing is my weakness.
Credits to SatsumaFS via Reddit.
This seems to be a very early scene in the game, before Cai has signed up for the Heroic Games. At this stage, it seems Cai only has Tialla and Pieter in his group. So this likely precedes the street fight. Since they’ve recruited the guy with the orange streaks in his hair.
Could the street fight be the “test” that Ultand is referring to? However, I don’t think the streets are the best place for a test. Plus why is Ultand in the group? Unless she’s an overseer for the test? But why would an overseer have to fight? If anything, maybe it’s an obstacle along the way to the test, like perhaps a rival group is trying to sabotage them.
Gameplay
Ultand is in the Priest class. It has proficiency exp for Brawling, Reason and Faith. The Brawling surprised me a little, although Diviners can use Gauntlets.
She has the same outfit from the street fight.
As soon as the map appears, in the bottom left corner there’s a minus button prompt for a heart icon and some kind of recovery or Miracle icon. This heart icon also appeared during the street fight, while a talk(?) icon appeared in Bonaventure’s Today post.
There are 6 units on the map. Cai, Tialla, Pieter, guy with orange streaks in hair, dark-skinned light-haired brawler and Ultand herself. This seems fairly consistent with Cai’s growing party and seems to match the party in Pieter’s showcase (although Cai and orange streaks guy are off-screen).
The map seems to be the swamp village seen in a screenshot from yesterday.
Ultand is a Level 22 Priest here, wielding Seraphim. There’s a bunch of undead Ornius Riders. Ultand seems to have 5 movement, with the swamp tiles costing 2 movement. While moving, no heart icons are displayed, probably because they’ve been toggled off–perhaps with the minus button.
There’s also no mini-map visible, which has also happened before during Theodora’s showcase and is presumably another toggle.
The player chooses Assist and Heal. Compared to Tialla, Heal has double uses. Ultand also has a recovery boost like Tialla.

Cai is being healed again. He’s a standard Ornius Rider wielding a Javelin.
Ultand has 3 skills and no visible crest.
Afterwards, Ultand gains 10 exp and some proficiency exp for Faith. In the background, you can see the huts from the swamp village.
Looks like the same map, but the time of day changed. Does the time of day change as the battle progresses? Ultand has more exp than the beginning, so it seems time has passed.
This time, the player chooses to attack. Seraphim has 6 uses, 1~2 range and is effective against monsters. The flavour text specifically calls them Underworld Monsters. Ultand also has a Fire spell with 10 uses.
Ultand’s foe is a Skellion, of the Skellion class, wielding a Bronze Spear. Bonaventure was seen fighting a similar foe.
Ultand has 3 skills, 2 the same as before and one that looks like Reason Lv 1, and still no visible crest.

She lands a critical hit, KOing the Skellion, gaining 16 exp and some more proficiency exp for Faith.
22nd July: Range and Counterattacks
A fairly mundane update… Wait a sec.

Attack range varies by weapon.
– Sword, Lance, Axe and Gauntlet can target 1 horizontal/vertical square away (Range 1)
– Bow can target 2 horizontal/vertical squares away or 1 diagonal square away (Range 2)
Meanwhile magic is Range 1~2, combining all of the above.
If you attack an enemy while inside their attack range, they will counterattack, dealing damage to you.
A common approach is attacking Range 1 enemies from a distance and Range 2 enemies with melee weapons to avoid counterattacks.
For Range 1~2 enemies, try to KO them before they can counterattack or use units with high defences or evasion.
You can check if an enemy can counterattack by looking at the combat forecast shown right before you attack.
Range
Unbelievably, they showed off three completely new characters to explain basic Fire Emblem gameplay.
Firstly, we’ve got a pink haired sword-wielding girl. I don’t recognise the map, although it vaguely resembles the desert map that Theodora was fighting at during the debut trailer. However, there are no cobbled paths visible in the shot.
Next is a bow wielder with white face markings. We’ll see more of him very soon. This map could be the jungle map seen in Pieter’s showcase.
The white face markings remind me of the boss from Bonaventure’s map.
Then we’ve got a long pale-blue-haired spell caster. The map looks like a swamp village?

Of note, the Crest of Fraldarius appears in the middle of the magic circle. Normally, crests don’t appear, as shown in the above examples. However, they can appear in Three Hopes.
But the other thing is that the Crest of Fraldarius only triggers for physical weapons in Three Houses and Three Hopes.
Counterattacks
This is the jungle map from the previous screenshot. Turns out I was wrong, it’s not Pieter’s map. But it’s a similar jungle.
Update (23rd July): Actually, I was half correct. Mahelas noticed that these two jungle maps seem to combine to make one map.
There’s 6 units on the map. One is off-screen and presumably Cai. You can see a tiny bit of this character near the bottom-left corner. I see something pointy, but can’t tell what it is. Could be a spear or maybe the head of an ornius. If it’s Eshmel, I’d laugh so hard though.
Visible units include new guy, sword guy with orange streaks in hair, dark-skinned light-haired brawler, Ultand and Tialla.

New guy is called Nuzzo, although don’t get attached to his name. He’s a Level 25 Rogue equipped with a Killing Edge. Theodora was fighting an enemy Rogue during the debut trailer.
Nuzzo’s banner is the Ribeira Winds, so this is Cai’s group. Also, he has 5 movement.
Killing Edge is a C ranked sword created with Eastern craftsmanship. It enables the combat art Deadly Blade, which is funny because it’s a synonym for Killing Edge.

Nuzzo targets a Striped Wolf (equipped with Beast Claw) at melee range and suffers a counterattack. In the June trailer, Dietrich also fought a Striped Wolf.
In the combat forecast, Nuzzo has no skills, which means no visible crest.
Afterwards, he gains 18 exp and proficiency exp for Sword and Infantry.

Next, they showcase Nuzzo’s ranged attack. The player selects a Beast-hunting Bow (which Pieter had a +1 version of), which is effective+ against Flying and effective against Mounted/Beast.
While the weapon is selected, a beast icon appears over applicable enemies, indicating they’re weak to the weapon. Earlier, I thought there was a mini-gauge under the icon, but it’s just an arrow pointing to the enemy.
Compared to the Killing Edge, it has less Might, Hit and more Weight. But since it’s effective against the Striped Wolf (beast), Nuzzo’s damage increases from 19 to 23. Otherwise it would’ve dropped to 14 damage. So that’s an increase of 9 damage.
However, the additional damage might not be solely from the effective bonus, because Nuzzo now has 2 skills during the combat forecast.

These skills are Tribesman’s Secret Technique and Hidden Arts (loose translations). Presumably they only trigger when using a bow or maybe when you’re attacking from range? Or maybe if the enemy can’t counterattack?
Afterwards, Nuzzo gains 21 exp and proficiency exp for Bow and Infantry.
21st July: Sirocco
One of Leda’s companions.
Japanese VA: Katsuyuki Miura
A mysterious bard who appears during Leda’s path of vengeance. Calls himself the “Whimsical Wind”. He’s flirtatious, hitting on every beautiful woman he sees, but also has keen perception and is well-educated.
Likes: Goddess Karla, all women, poetry
Dialogue scene.
A scene in a tavern that’s become lively due to a “Goddess of Fortune”. Of course, the “Whimsical Wind” cannot miss his chance to observe her beauty…
Gameplay.
During battle, he can skilfully swap between swords and magic to outplay his opponents.
Note: Please see Sirocco’s Nintendo Today post for more info.
Profile
Ah, yes, the token womaniser character.
“Goddess Karla” is interesting. Presumably this is one of the many(?) gods of Dagda and possibly one of the female statues in the background, such as this one or this one.
“Karla” is also the name of a female Swordmaster from the Blazing Blade, but it’s either a coincidence or a fun Easter egg. I just realised that Feena’s fishing village where Esmeralda comes from could be a reference to Feena/Phina from Mystery of the Emblem. (I’ll be honest, I almost forgot about Feena. I was thinking of the Goddess Feena from the Ys games.)
There’s also the Land of Dagda having a similar name to Dagdar from Thracia 776. However, Dagda is spelled Dagza in the Japanese version. So that one probably just a coincidence.

Owner: Well well, you must be travelers. It must have been a tiring journey. What will you have?
Sirocco: I’ll have a gauche for now. I don’t mind if it’s a pricier one.
Sirocco: Let’s see… pick out something fragrant, that reminds one of the refreshing breeze of the harvest.
Owner: H-huh…. Uh, would something autumn-like be fine?
Sirocco: Also… Owner, seems like this place is drawing a crowd today.
Sirocco: I’ve been around the block, but it’s rare to see a tavern for cheap drinks get this lively.
Sirocco: It’s not the harvest season either… What’s gotten everyone so interested in gathering here?
Owner: We’ve been making a killing thanks to this. But yeah, these people have something on their minds.
Owner: A Goddess of Luck has settled here, you could say.
Sirocco: Oh? I see. That’s a wonderful thing.
Owner: She’s been coming here a lot to drink. Goes by the name of Leda,
Owner: and as you can see, she’s quite the fine woman. All the men gathered here have set their sights on her.
Sirocco: I see. As the Whimsical Wind, I can’t neglect such a woman.
Credits to SatsumaFS via Reddit

Usually I’m pretty critical of the conversation backdrops, but I’ll give credit where it’s due… the tavern actually looks pretty reasonable. They can actually afford to put NPCs in the background!
At the end, we see Leda minding her own business. Meanwhile, Buccaneer is sat behind her for some reason. Is he playing the role of a hidden bodyguard?
Also, if you check the red banners in the background, they look similar to the ones from the debut trailer when Leda was walking away from the camera.
This one. Leda’s also in her dancing/performing clothes. So maybe she’s performing at the tavern?
Leda being called a “Goddess of Luck/Fortune” is also intriguing. What did she do to earn that title? Could it be related to her dancing? Or her feats in the Heroic Games?
Besides that, I’m a little surprised they’re openly calling Leda a “Goddess”. With Dagda being described as a land ruled by the gods and temples built at Dagsion to presumably worship said gods, calling Leda a “Goddess” seems a little… blasphemous? Although perhaps this is somewhere outside Dagsion that isn’t quite as faithful.
Gameplay
Here, Sirocco is a Diviner like Tialla, Fabio and Bonaventure. In the June trailer, he was a Shaman, presumably a higher tier mage class.
Here’s the battle map. It’s a long vertical map that occurs during night. Actually, it looks to be the same map featured in Esmeralda’s showcase, here.
However, the map has been rotated 90 degrees. It’s not 100% the same though, especially near the very bottom. Esmeralda’s map seems to be a skirmish, while this map could be a story battle.
Sirocco is a Level 20 Diviner equipped with an Iron Sword. Like Bonaventure, he’s advertised as a hybrid Diviner, wielding swords and magic. Meanwhile Tialla and Fabio seem to be more magic-focused.
There are 7 units on the map, all ones we’ve seen, usually in Leda’s group. There’s Leda, Buccaneer, Sirocco himself, red haired girl(?) and blonde haired lady seen with Leda, blonde ponytail girl and guy with face markings seen in Leda’s showcase.
The player selects combat arts. Sirocco has three.
- Sunder: Phys +4, Hit +0, Crit +10, Range 1, Durability cost 2
- Grounder: Phys +3, Hit +0, Crit +0, Range 1, Durability cost 3, effective versus Flying
- Mist Ripper: Phys +2, Hit +0, Crit +0, Range 1, Durability cost 6, Avoid +10 during combat and Crit +10 during follow-up attack
Sunder and Grounder appeared in Three Houses. Mist Ripper is new. We also saw Dietrich with Grounder.
Sirocco has an Iron Sword, Zanbato (effective versus Mounted) and Venin Edge.
Sirocco’s foe is a Lechner soldier, a fellow Diviner wielding Thunder. Lechner is the man Leda mentions in the June trailer and possibly the one she’s sworn revenge against.
Just in case, Sirocco has no visible crest among his four skills.
When combat begins, Leave it to the Wind (+5) triggers. This is Sirocco’s left-most skill. The +5 could be a stackable effect. For example, Crosswise Cut grants Skl +2 up to a maximum of Skl +10.
Anyway, Sirocco is using the Mist Ripper combat art.
The flag for the Lechner soldier is a circle with a hooded person inside. Makes me think of a spy master or something. Leda’s father was a legal officer at Dagsion. So maybe he caught Lechner doing some illegal dealings?

Next, Sirocco uses a Thunder spell against an enemy Armored Knight. Thunder has 1~2 range although we knew that from the June trailer. Also, the Armored Knight is wielding an Iron Sword. So it seems like they can wield at least Sword, Lance and Axe.

Sirocco gains 16 exp and some proficiency exp for Reason. He also gains support points with Buccaneer who’s adjacent.
