Close up of Talimun’s compass, which he presumably uses to track down “Drake’s Treasures”. Could these be related to the cursed items like Cai’s pendant? The compass needle looks kind of sinister.
Also, the background seems to be a map of Dagda, so the treasures are probably all within Dagda.
Talimun is guided to Dietrich and notices his Hero’s Relic. Are the treasures related to the Nabateans?
Wait a second, Dietrich has his cursed cape on. So maybe the Hero’s Relic is a red herring.
Before Talimun gets an answer, the two are surrounded by a mysterious group. Not shown in this video, but Dietrich’s sword begins to react and he points it at the suspect, Talimun.
So Talimun is carrying something that a Hero’s Relic would react to. Possibly a crest?
Gameplay
There’s two similar but different videos.
Here, Talimun is a Shaman. It has a proficiency exp bonus for Sword, Reason and Faith.
When Talimun conjures the magic circle, the Crest of Gautier appears in the middle similar to Fianna here.
This means Talimun has the Crest of Gautier, but we later learn it’s probably not an innate crest.
This is the fight against the Sisters of Bragança, when Cai, Leda and Talimun team up.
Cai’s team includes Tialla. Leda’s team, which seems to be the player’s team, includes Buccar, Mu, Sirocco, Olympia, Catania (Wing Soldier) and Nydine (Ornius Rider). Talimun’s team includes Ursula.
Talimun is Level 20. He has a full Blaze Art gauge like the protagonists.
His inventory includes the cursed Long-Night Katara, Purifying Sword and Iron Sword. He has Fire and Thunder spells, seemingly with double uses.
His foe is a Ghost, in the Brigand class. Probably summoned by the Sisters.
Talimun has 5 skills. Presumably his personal, not sure, Tome Hit +3, Reason Lv 1 and Crest of Gautier/Diadem of Duality. His foe has Axefaire(?), Underworld Boon, skill with the same icon and Axe Hit +3.
He also has a Level 1 support with Ursula.
At the start of combat, Talimun’s Crest of Gautier/Diadem of Duality triggers. It’s red, which means it’s probably from a cursed object. His Long-Night Katara is cursed, so it’s likely from that.
The Ghost’s banner is the same as Lechner’s soldiers. The Sisters have a different banner. It seems Lechner dabbles with the occult, so maybe this banner is for enemies related to ghosts?
The combat video from Nintendo Today is from the Forgotten Alcor battle, when Theodora, Talimun and Anatolia team up.
Theodora’s team includes Bonaventure, Tobias, Lilian and Lysander. Talimun’s team includes Ursula again. Anatolia’s team includes Sha Lan.
Talimun is a Level 7 Diviner here, so this is an earlier fight. He has his cursed Long-Night Katara again, plus a Bronze Sword. Also he has Fire, but with its default 10 uses.
Talimun is fighting an Alcor Soldier in the Hunter class. Talimun only has his personal skill(?) and the Crest of Gauter/Diadem of Duality.
Talimun doesn’t trigger his crest during this fight.
Bertrand
One of your rivals.

A gladiator who fights at Dagsion’s Arena. Known as the “White-Maned Demon” due to his monstrous strength. They say he committed a grave crime 5 years ago and was imprisoned in the dungeon beneath the Arena.

The grave crime that Bertrand committed 5 years ago was probably murdering Leda’s father.
In the Direct, Bertrand was spotted wielding Sothis’s axe.
In his artwork, it’s even more obvious that it’s Sothis’s axe, although it’s also become very evil-looking…
I was hoping to eventually see it, but the Crest of Flames is visible on Bertrand’s axe, just like with Sothis’s axe.
Considering that Bertrand didn’t always use to have white hair, there’s a good chance someone–perhaps Iliana’s group–has been performing crest experimentations on him. Are they trying to resurrect Sothis as well? Although it’s probably more likely they’re trying to resurrect Balor.
Besides that, Bertrand is the 4th character to enjoy board games. It’d be funny to see Eshmel, Solel, Centurio and Bertrand playing a game together!

Host: Emerging today from the eastern gate, a man I’m sure you all recognize.
Host: Dagsion’s living legend, the White-Maned Demon!

Blue haired woman: Bertrand…you are alive.
This cutscene follows on from Solel’s opening speech. It shows Bertrand entering the arena with an Iron Axe.
In the audience are the blue-haired woman and red-haired man from the debut trailer. The woman (who appears in the media previews, in disguise) is surprised that Bertrand is alive. Meanwhile the man seemed depressed.
I mentioned this in the media previews, but maybe the blue-haired woman used to be engaged to Bertrand. In the incident 5 years ago, Bertrand has the Aragonian coat of arms on his cape, so maybe he was a prince of Arago.
However, after the incident, he was probably presumed dead and maybe the woman became engaged or married to the red-haired man (who could be another prince of Arago, perhaps Bertrand’s brother) instead.
There is one flaw to this theory. In the media previews, the blue-haired woman implies she’s a similar age to Leda. Considering how young Leda looked in the incident 5 years ago, compared to Bertrand, the age gap seems pretty big.
That said, we don’t know how old Bertrand is. This is what he looked like 5 years ago. Besides, when it comes to political marriages, especially in the olden days, age gaps may not be that important.
Kalla
A goddess of Dagda.

The Patron-Huntress, a pillar of the Dagdan pantheon.
She’s involved with various artistic rituals, such as the “Rose Festival” that Leda and Olympia were in, and provides support for artists and musicians.

The “Rose Festival” may be the ceremony where Leda and Olympia got their titles, “Rose of Caelus” from. Or maybe only the Roses of Caelus can participate in it?
Kalla probably has the Crest of Dominic, since it’s found on her temple.

Sithonia is Cydonia
This was revealed in Olympia’s conversation, but Leda’s real name is Leilidahna.
Annoying, the Nintendo Today video cuts out Leda’s line at the end. She says that after the Cydonia incident, she hid with Mahdel, her mentor.
However, Mahdel eventually died, which seemed to be the final catalyst for Leda to go on her journey of vengeance.
After speaking to Kalla, Olympia probably makes her entrance.

A god of Dagda.

Some fans have pointed that Talimun has similar body markings as Mars. So far, we’ve seen folks from Saramis (Theodora etc.) and Arago (Nathan, Creek, etc.), but nobody from Brezarant yet. So maybe Talimun is from there?
Update: Cruaidin, Bertrand’s opponent in the exhibition match(?) at the start of the Heroic Games, is from Brezarant.
Also, it’s not forbidden for gods and mortals to have children. So that’s probably not the reason for Aurora being confined.
Mars has the Crest of Daphnel.

Centurio
A temple knight.
English VA: Justice Washington | Japanese VA: Kōji Takeda
A knight serving at Aurora’s Temple. Known as “Corundum”, he’s a “Vulcan”, member of an elite squadron chosen from the temple priests. An old friend of Cai’s father, Castor, and the two share a deep mutual trust.

A heavily armored veteran with defensive power like an iron wall. He can withstand heavy attacks.

Nothing unexpected. Confirmation that Centurio serves Aurora’s temple, but it was obvious from all the context.
We first saw Centurio at Aurora’s temple during the June trailer. Then in the Direct, it’s mentioned that a temple knight came to arrest Cai’s father and the knight looked like Centurio.
Also, fairly obvious that Centurio and Cai’s father are friends, since Cai’s father was a Vulcan (thanks, Bertrand) and probably worked at Aurora’s temple too, otherwise they wouldn’t send a temple knight from there to arrest him.
What’s curious is that Centurio is also a Vulcan.
Also, Centurio’s name is literally Centurion in the Japanese version.
Centurio also likes board games. He could form a club with Eshmel and Solel.

Saw this in the media previews, but you can explore Ribeira village. There’s Centurio knocking on the door.
It’s the 24th of the 1st month.
Centurio remarks that Cai resembles his mother. Cai grew up without his mother and he doesn’t know who she is. We probably know though. And Centurio just gave another big hint, because there’s probably very few women he knows well enough to recognise her son.
Centurio leaves Cai a message to relay to his father. “Tomorrow.”
15 years ago, Cai’s father, Castor committed a grave sin. But due to the circumstances, which is likely raising Cai, he was probably given some time before his sentence is carried out.
I can see it now. “You will be executed tomorrow.” “But tomorrow is not now.” And thus, Castor was allowed to leave. Or maybe he ran away and they let him run. However, 15 years later, “tomorrow” has finally come.
Gameplay
Fog of war map in the jungle with Cai, Tialla, Peter, Ultand, Guzran, plus Centurio as a guest unit.
It’s the enemy phase and a Har Hali Warrior engages Centurio. Centurio triggers Strike-Last Def +5, presumably an Armored Knight skill, and presumably his personal skill, Sturdy Corundum. Since his nickname is Corundum.
In Lysander and Lilian’s showcases, they’re also fighting Har Hali Warriors in the fog.
Afterwards, Centurio gains no exp since he’s a guest unit. Apparently, according to previewers, this exp is given back to you later.
Aurora
A goddess of Dagda.

A pillar of the Dagdan pantheon, the Navigator’s Clarion. Her father, the Divine Sovereign Solel, strictly forbids her from interacting with outsiders–and it’s said that visitors are not permitted.

Oh wow, Aurora is Solel’s daughter. I was joking that Solel could be Eshmel’s father (potential spoilers in the link), but Solel is actually a father.
We also know that Aurora’s mother is Yu Phas so suddenly the family tree has gotten very complicated.
Aurora’s situation is very suspicious too. Why has Solel confined Aurora? Is it related to her mother? Or is it related to the crime that Cai’s father committed when he was probably working at Aurora’s temple? Or both.
Aurora’s crest is the Crest of Aubin, just like Cai.

Cai: I’m heading in. It’s so dark. What was that?! Someone’s attacking?!
? (Aurora): And who is entering my chambers from such an unusual place?

Theodora tries to enter Aurora’s temple, but not even a state guest is permitted to visit Aurora.
There was a scene in one of the media previews (spoilers) that explains why Theodora wants to visit Aurora.
Meanwhile, Cai and friends manage to bumble their way in during the night.
Considering a certain theory, it’s going to be very interesting to see what happens after this…

Mysterious lady.

A beautiful woman who hides half her face behind a veil. Seems to love watching fierce battles and is eagerly spectating the Heroic Games next to Divine Sovereign Solel. Always keeps her plush doll, Babbu, close at hand.

I’m assuming there’s a good reason she’s hiding behind her veil. Previously, the most common reason would be to hide your Nabatean ears. But in the land of Dagda, where Nabateans are worshipped, she has no reason to hide.
In that case, is this related to her eyes? In mythology, Balor is known for his Evil Eye.

Otto-chan is Babbu, her teddy bear. Lady Clivia is Lady of Lilies.
This conversation was shown in some of the media previews.
We quickly learn that her real name is apparently Iliana. Her surname, Ximinus (Cogibinus in the Japanese version) doesn’t seem to mean anything. I thought it’d be the name of a flower or something.
I mentioned this when I first saw Iliana, but her teddy bear has the Crest of Gautier/Diadem of Duality all over it. This crest seems to be associated with cursed items. Such as Cai’s hand gem, Theodora’s arm(?), Maria’s bow and Leda’s iron fan.
Hold on, it’s even more obvious in her official artwork.
Besides that, she’s accompanied by someone called Gabriel and a bearded man with a half mask who’s also with Hong Hua.
In the Twitter version, we learn that Cai wants to visit his imprisoned father.
Update: I missed this earlier. After Cai explains the situation, Iliana notices Cai’s hand gem, although she doesn’t comment on it. If she’s in cahoots with Raksha, who was searching for the pendant, then she probably knows what the gem is.
At the end, Iliana mentions that she’s also the White-Maned Demon’s “protector”. Oh yeah, this place seems to be the same prison where Bertrand is kept.
Actually, if Iliana’s group is doing something shady, like trying to resurrect Balor, it’s very suspicious that she’s keeping an eye on Bertrand–he very well could be an important piece of their plan.
Update: Senchaten provides a solid theory that Iliana might be Yu Phas. First, in Bonaventure’s showcase, Theodora is fighting in a temple with the statue of an unknown woman.
At this point, we know of all the temples and gods: Dagda, Solel, Fortuna, Aurora, Smyrnos, Mars, Credna, Jurah and Yu Phas. Of those temples and gods, the goddesses are Fortuna, Aurora, Jurah and Yu Phas. By process of elimination, the unknown woman must be Yu Phas.
Indeed, if you compare with the mural of Yu Phas, the design is very similar. Long hair and split dress. Could be the same headdress as well–you can just about see the V shape.
Besides that, the temple wall features the Crest of Aubin. Kalla’s Temple has the Crest of Dominic, for example, which matches Kalla. Considering Aurora is Yu Phas’s daughter and has the Crest of Aubin, it could make sense for the mother to have the same crest.
Next, if you compare the statue with Iliana… Their hair and general silhouette are very similar. Obviously the dress is different, but we can assume that Iliana is trying to hide her identity.
Just earlier, I was wondering why Iliana would try to hide her face. Now there’s a reason, if she’s Yu Phas. Also, it would explain why Iliana is watching the games on the same level as Solel, if that’s her husband.
Hair colour is tougher to explain. Hold on, Iliana’s hair is pale green. So it’s still green, even if it’s not bright green like the mural.
Solel
The acting ruler of the Dagdan empire.

The Sunbearer, a pillar of the Dagdan Pantheon. Acting as the proxy for “Dagda the Great”, who has fallen into a deep slumber, he rules over the empire as the “Divine Sovereign”.

Here’s the scene where Solel declares the opening of the Heroic Games. Apparently, the purpose of the games is to speed up the awakening of Dagda the Great, by offering sacred battles fought by powerful warriors gathered from across Dagda.

His title in the English version is Sunbearer. Interestingly, both he and Eshmel like board games…
I suspected as much, but Anna has the same banner as him.
Update: Forgot to mention, but if you check the banner carefully, it features the Crest of Fraldarius (slightly bigger) and crests of Dominic and Noa (slightly smaller).
Fraldarius may be Dagda’s crest, since it’s underneath his statue inside the Arena. Jurah and Fianna also have this crest. Meanwhile Kalla and Leda have Dominic, while the god with glasses who may be Credna and Eshmel have Noa.
In addition, we see Solel holding his spear, which was visible during the Anna section. And yeah it’s the one from his statue. Also the same lance wielded by Eshmel, but broken. However, it regains its shape during Blaze Arts.
Of note, the spear has the Crest of Noa on it–and Eshmel has the Crest of Noa.

When Solel is talking about Dagda’s proud history, a woman–Iliana–is smirking in the background.
In the Twitter video, it shows Bertrand entering the arena, presumably for his fight with Cruaidin. The shot of Bertrand clutching his axe is the first shot in the long commercial.
