Glad I'm not alone. That video doesn't really tell me much, from what I see of the design, why could they not go with the thing they showed us first before it went "just a painting", that looked great, design wise. The designs don't particularly appeal to me (the actual ones) to be honest, but hopefully the witting will be better with the new guy on the team. I'll honestly give it the benefit of doubt, but I won't get that hyped before I know more.

Apparently by the same people who made awakening, hoping that it'll be a completely new game with at least decent writing (hoping they can't get worse from awakening). I really hope they'll get better designs from awakening. Sorry if I seem pessimistic, but when it says "by the same people who made awakening", a game I didn't like, I'm not gonna put my hopes high till I know more about it, hopefully it won't let me down though.

Depends on when you last checked, there are pics, since I try to post some fanart once a day, and usually a lot of them (like you see in my post above). How many pages or posts there are in the middle depends on whether there is an argument going on or not.

Lower one is from Binding Blade (or sword of seals) (Fe6), and no there is no remake of Genealogy, so far the only remade games are Fe 1 & 3.

Quoting this again cause I read something now I missed the first time, that you mention the pic of Chiki with pants, and yeah, it was I who discovered said book. and it's probably this design you meant (shout-out to Crazy Foxie for uploading better pics of them): And this is probably my favorite version of Chiki, I just like the art, and it actually looks like someone who is in hiding (escaped from Gotoh) minus the tiara. Yeah I just happen to really like it, the book also has my favorite version of Marth for that matter.

... You may be right, though Nagi doesn't look like you would expect here... seriously, why does s/he look like the child of Marth and Chiki?... I'm confused. And if you check the comments, you see that they joke that the guy in that comic went then on to create Nowi... yeah.

Maybe it's a reference to class changing, like, "who keeps 3 fighters, so make one a dark mage"? otherwise, I have no Idea. Edit: and the reason I would want it translated is because of the guy in the center of the last row, who looks like the bastard child of Marth and Chiki.

Honestly, I don' have that much of a problem with her design, yeah it's more reminiscent of something from a final fantasy game (as you pointed out), and honestly her design is not that bad, but they just managed to mess up her role and her backstory (or if only awakening, lack of such), and a lot of lost potential, while most decisions Gotoh made are understandable, they still kinda make him look like an asshole, and the person who gave him the orders for that matter, if you think about what your told in mystery, that Bantu, who has been the only person who was there to comfort Chiki when she woke up from her nightmares, who Gotoh pretty much banished after getting Chiki back and putting her back to sleep. And this is one of several things that make me think what would get her to take Gotohs place, and where him and Xane disappeared, and why Bantu and Chiki haven't tried to reunite. Again sorry for my rant. Quoting this too to say, sorry if I come of as an asshole... or pretensions, my intention isn't to insult anyone. While I understand this is mostly a western thing, and I'm explaining this more of as an observer, but for me, with Japan and sexualisation, I would say that Japanese, and eastern cultures in general, have a much different look on sex, and sexualisation, seeing it more of just another part of life. This might have something to do with that a lot of eastern religions focus on self betterment, and, well, view the human body as just another part of life, while the west, with judeo- christian roots, which tells that everyone is born a sinner, and sex, in many cases, being seen as a sin, this is probably to reduce certain things which could have caused problems in the medieval times like pre-marital pregnancies, which could during those times cause a lot of problems, and reduce the spreading of STD:s sorry again if I come of as a jerk. It's just that I try to understand "why", rather than just reacting. And on awakening, yeah, on that one I'll say the sexual things feel weird for me, but that has more to do with what the games before it has had in terms of art direction.

And there are better alternatives for the role she plays, like Gotoh, the bringer of magic and Nagas most loyal servant, and lets not forget Xane, who if people would't follow them unless Tiki was there, can perfectly mimic her, without her needing to be there, like we see in Mystery and NMotE, and I would guess she would be traveling with Bantu, who we know is alive, so the chances Gotoh and Xane are alive are high. Honestly it's awakenings lack of explanation and writing. Sorry for the short rant. And I' not saying you can't like what I don't like, if you like her, and for whatever reason (design, personality), great. Mine are probably: Chiki>Myrrh>Ena>Fae>Nagi>Nah>Tiki>Nowi. the only ones I can say I dislike are fe:a Tiki and Nowi, the rest are for be, Best to least good.
