This is the same practice that happened with Hyrule Warriors. It's not a probability but a VERY SURE thing that DLC is gonna come with this game. From a business standpoint most of the Awakening and Fates fans are satisfied. With DLC, there has to be content to appeal to the older fans, since i seriously doubt Lyn was enough and Celica is moreso advertisement for her game. Both of them feel like bait for blazing sword content and MAYBE echoes. Then there's also the trump cards themselves, Ike and Roy. Hyrule warriors had 5 games being represented on the DLC packages. That's more than the base roster! Which was 3. Just like Fire Emblem Warriors. History might just repeat itself.

That's a shame. There goes Kellam's chances. Donnel i expect to see him on dlc with most of the missing populars from awakening. Tharja, Nowi, Henry... and himself. Lack of knives deconfirms Gaius hard and... would really want Lonqu with all the swords? to add he's another myrmidon class. Anyone surprised as of yet we got absolutlely no mercs? and fighters? in fact... are there even enemy mercs and fighters?

I'm... a little confused about how it was worded. Non-mounted AND armored... Is this mostly referring to in general? like enemy units? or some possible soft confirmation for Kellam AND Donnel. Wouldn't surprise me if it went like that.

That would be one of the funniest marketing schemes for this game. I would praise it for that. While shadow dragon needs more reps, Awakening isn't doing too hot with its lack of Shepherds. Kellam repping them as the ultimate joke... would pretty cool, especially after all the controversy. I mean thats his character trait. Like it or not... might as well embrace it at this point.

Draug, Kellam or Effie. Wasn't Azura softly deconfirmed on the Nintendo magazine because they said they had ''too many fates characters''? that just makes Effie the least likely one.

I read your post about Celica a while ago. Tell you what. Since you admited to acting on your emotions as well, I'll apologize for name calling you ''princess''. If Navarre is a secret character thats not gonna get an announcement. maybe Draug or Azura are in. Though I'd believe Draug, or maybe Cain or Abel. Considering Azura would have recieved more marketing. Probably a low key character. Unless they aren't done with the reveals for sure. But because of the leak. its most likely 100% that they're just gonna show in TGS the final character missing from the Box Leak and Character Card thing. Anna. Anyhting else that ain't TOO hype for publiciy... in-game unlockables my guess.

I haven't even remotely talked about the roster. I just said im looking forward to the dlc. Because its in my personal preference that I do NOT care for the roster. And those trailers were embarrassing. How you gonna hype a character reveal as a clone? And once again. Here's clone Celica and 2 waifus from Shadow Dragon, Are Shiida and Tiki really worth the hype? when you played the game you played ONLY these characters? Yeah. ok. So screw Hardin, Minerva and other imporant ''story mode'' characters. I actually forgot Tiki even mattered in the original or book 2. Cause all she is is a McGuffin so you get Falchion.

When I'm more excited for the Dlc than that ACTUAL game itself. What a world we live in... Also Shadow dragon roster: Caeda, Tiki and they didn't even announce Navarre. No Camus, No Hardin.

Why would they request her knowing they might turn her into a clone with the lack of dev time they had left? Couldn't they just wait for DLC to get more creative with her? I guess they didn't mind her as a clone and wanted her asap in the base roster. Didn't really help her case.*shrugs* They also probably thought it would attract the Echoes audience on the surface. Which it did. I guess.

A while back I thought Lyn was carrying Durandal. if Eliwood makes it in after all the crap he's been through. Thats a miracle in itself. Ike, Roy, Alm... these 3 have amiibos. DLC is almost guaranteed for them. Hector is popular juggernaut and the 2nd most popular blazing sword character. if Eliwood makes it in, thats a cause for rejoice no matter what.

I cannot believe I COMPLETELY forgot about that. Alm being left-handed. Well. Alm Dlc. here's hoping. Shame for Celica. She deserved better. I guess now we can all at least hope for the best on the DLC. Whatever may come out of it.

Alm Dlc sounds extremely likely now. And as you said, he was spared a much worse fate. As much as I hate Faye. if we get Alm as DLC with better treatment. Well. Can't complain. Day 1 Purchase when he's announced. Unless Ike and Roy beat him to the punch. Or in the likely scenario. Fates retainers. And we actually get Arthur. Thats a purchase with Gusto.

Celica being a clone due to development issues is understandable yes. But why shaft Alm? He has his fans and is one of the two main characters of the game. It's funny how once Celica gets announced everyone is like ''lol screw Alm''. What kinda mentality is that? Apparently being a main character doesn't really matter. Because proven how Celica was a clone, means that her being picked wasn't to add variety to the roster. The fact that Alm is the only falchion user thats missing from the roster in this so called ''celebreation game'' also sits extremely bad with me. Like he doesn't matter. Celica has no self reference of being more popular than Alm, since Alm actually was more hyped than Chrom and Corrin were and Celica herself was actually getting criticized for her poor decisions within the story. Unless we get some Shadows of Valentia DLC episode that puts Alm and 2 or 3 other characters that AREN'T swords. Some supports, and History segments. It just feels incomplete. I did say I was gonna change my tune for the DLC. A practice I do NOT support... but oh well. If it's the only way for ME to have fun. I don't have any other choice do I? I did say Begrudgingly.

Please don't misunderstand. Forget the awakening and fates ''pandeing''. That wasn't even done right. Where are the other fan favorite's that people use? Lonqu, Gaius, Tharja, Nowi, Henry, Donnel... ALL these 6 idiots, were on the top 20. I don't even like em, but the fact that NONE OF THEM Are in the base game repping awakening... well isn't that a bit sad? And then there's Virion... who like Fredderick. Has plot armor, and is somewhat important on the Valm arc. WHERE IS HE??? Another archer that we could've added... but no. Do you expect me to believe everyone just grabbed, Lissa, Fredo and Cordelia and called it a day? You think the other characters in the game don't have fans? Also on Fates... wasn't Oboro supposed to be insanley popular? Jakob as well? a lancer and a knife user. Oh wait... there's no knives in this game. And Oboro doesn't get in cause we gotta put Azur--- oh...

You have to understand this isn't complaining without reason. Game companies aren't charitable organizations that bless you with ''videogames''. Nintendo ''can't do no wrong'' is just a myth. If they do a crap job... You have to call it out. This game is that. It's like this. I like Mario. but remember that OCEAN of lifeless ''new super mario'' games that came out for a while before FINALLY we got Odyssey? Thats what I mean. This game isn't some sort of blessing for the fanbase. It's marketing tactic for new fans that played awakening and fates. While throwing a bone to old fans with Lyn.... Celica is just advertisement. Just as Roy was in Melee. As a FILTHY uninspired clone.

Unless some of the DLC adds something interesting to the roster It's really not working for me. I will BEGRUDGINGLY give this a shot if Ike and Roy get added with ORIGINAL MOVESETS, as well as something from Echoes and Blazing Sword that can REALISTICALLY happen. Alm, Lukas, Hector. Anything. Some retainers and shepherds would be nice as well... I mean. Virion is an archer... I'll take that guy.

Every single character in the roster was expected. They are all main characters from their respective narrative and appear in cutscenes. with only 2 exceptions. Fredo and Cordy. And the only one that got the boot. was Azura... Do you... do you play fire emblem ONLY for the main character? isn't the point of the series is to use some of the B team characters to enjoy the game? Just asking. Fe Warriors was stated as a game that was gonna feature many characters from the 3 picked franchises. They didn't deliver and ''half heartedly'' gave us Lyn and Celica. when other spots could've been Ephraim, Hector or even Sigurd himself. Oooor give us some shepherds, feroxi characters or retainers from fates. Basically Koei didn't commit to the original goal and half-assed the whole process. Who can really be happy about that? I like Chrom, Ryoma, and Xander... but I'm not buying a game with almost 30 characters JUST to use 3 dudes. I'm sure other people feel that way. You really can't defend this roster... you just can't, it lacks variety and integrity. As of the moment thanks to the leak. It's Waifu Warriors. 5 more women than the men while claiming ''gender balance'' by using female Corrin. and 2 of those extra girls are sword users... one of them confirmed a half clone of one of the main character. Come on...
