  1. One that shows accumulated Funds and Experience, like the one that exists for FE7.
  2. I think a few turns of arena isn't really cheese. It's a nice way to level units who aren't performing well from my experience. I often stick Eli, Lyn, or anything with good speed in the arena. It's not often that a unit with decent speed needs the arena, but it's nice for the lords in particular.
  3. I'm looking forward to the videos! I finally have time to actually be around more often.
  4. Wow, I have a lot to catch up on... So far I haven't thought of anywhere for you to gain the experience for Marcus, since Oleg will range attack Marcus in retaliation iirc. That is, unless you let him attack Marcus while Marcus has a Hand Axe and then letting him kill. but I have no idea how viable a strategy that is.
  5. I've used Jill once in PoR and never in RD, and I got both games on release. I just really, really, REALLY hate Jill. ... I dump my exp into Laura though, so yeah.
  6. Gotta admit, I'm also curious. Just now, on 3-4, there was a Swordmaster at half HP with a Wyrmslayer next to a wounded Haar (that would die in one more hit) and a Heather with Shade. He was walled off in such a way that he could only attack those two units. He went for Heather because Heather could not kill him but Haar could. I feel that enemies will avoid potentially dying no matter how great a chance they have at killing your units. Obviously that's not saying too much by itself, but since nobody else has responded, I thought I'd point that out.
  7. Awesome, thanks for the clarification. I was REALLY confused on how I didn't get an A in funds. I definitely did not put in effort for experience, so getting the C there makes sense. Thanks a ton.
  8. Just finished a normal run. Got a C in "Weapon" and a B in Funds... I didn't use a single stat booster and had plenty of gems, but most of that stuff was in the characters' inventory. I also had a few promotion items left over, and I did get the ending in the desert. Does this affect Funds rank? I was under the impression I just needed 84,000g in total Funds, but I'm reading the following and I'm confused. Second, I can't tell what "Weapon" is. I see an experience rank, which I got an A on. I don't think it's combat, because I feel you have to try to not get an A rank in Combat in these games, and there's no way I'd get a C rank. Is the "weapon" ranking the one that counts your total levels? If so, that's also strange to me, because if I got an A in Experience (50,100 gained exp), it doesn't seem likely that I'd get a C in total levels. My only other guess is, based on the following: I was supposed to farm a lot more experience in the last chapter? I'm not sure I fully understand this one, either. Thanks for any clarification.
  9. Oh wow, I never thought of doing this. That's actually an amazing use for Leo. If there were still tier list discussions, I could actually see this being a significant point for him. (Although, it's likely that people have already argued this in the past.) Honestly, I think they made his stat distribution the way it is - along with his lack of +5% crit - because of his amazing personal weapon. They probably thought it would balance out, but clearly that's not the case. If you rearranged his growths moderately, it'd be enough to at least make him not deadweight I feel. I never really used to care about him back in the day when I played this game day in and day out, but for my latest run, I've shown him some love and so far it hasn't backfired. I'm using the Dawn Brigade for the final chapter, hence the attention I've given him. Speaking of attention, I finished part 1 a few days ago after farming experience on Jarod and a priest for Meg and Fiona. I got to thinking... what if Meg and Fiona swapped classes? I suppose it wouldn't matter in Fiona's case, because she's on a level of bad that you don't often see in FE. Meg, however, could be decent. Gaining access to Javelins for safe poking and getting vastly increased movement would have definitely made her at least as good as Leonardo. (So, not good at all? Huhuhu.) Anyway! To the OP, I have to agree that it doesn't really take too much effort to get a few of them to third tier. I think one of the most consistently big mistakes people make in FE games is not promoting early. This game can encourage not promoting early thanks to BEXP, but I'd argue that it doesn't matter for a lot of them. For example, Laura is a very powerful 2nd and 3rd tier unit who has the "flaw" of having low caps, but those caps are enough to do anything in the game decently except double attack extremely fast units endgame. You could level her fully and BEXP once she caps Magic, Skill and Speed to make her very hard to kill thanks to increased defenses, or you could simply promote her early twice since she will pretty much always have high important stats. She's actually the best demonstration in the DB of how early promotions are a good thing, in my opinion, if you so choose to go that route. Aran and Nolan are powerful candidates of tier 2 early promotions from my experience. Aran can be treated like Laura for the most part in terms of BEXP and promoting. Nolan I think is slightly less straightforward, since I almost never BEXP him personally, but clearly he's good no matter what. I assume Zihark and Edward also work, but I haven't tried. Jill probably also works but I've literally never used Jill in RD... ever. I don't like her.
  10. I remember reading this thread a while back and going, "Wow, how unlucky can you be?" Then I decided to play through FE6. Note: He gained every stat at level 20. I nearly had a single-digit Strength, promoted Roy. EDIT: JUST noticed yours was level 4... oh my god.
  11. No, they always go for status even if they're in range to do damage to you. I want to say that this is the case even if you have a very wounded teammate, because I vaguely recall one of them opting to use status instead of attacking a relatively low health Fiora. Don't know if they do this if they can kill you themselves.
  12. If you got the Uber Spear, wouldn't it solve most of those issues? It comes with 9 Speed and 14 Resistance.
  13. Just bumping this to see if it exists. I haven't found one yet myself.
  14. Thank you! Yeah, I didn't expect you to recruit Harken in such a run. The notion of a paladin with a Brave Lance sounds like your best bet to be honest. I can't think of any other unit that would have the movement to get up there while not getting slaughtered by casters. Would any pegasus units or Heath work? Heath has the unfortunate side effect of getting murdered by magic, but perhaps hard mode bonuses would help? I dunno, I really think there's no better option than Sain for that. What if you got the Uber Spear? EDIT: Ok yeah, that link clarifies it. Maybe a flier is the answer after all.
  15. I could be mistaken, but aren't there specific tiles you have to stand on to spawn reinforcements, meaning you could just avoid those tiles altogether to prevent extra spawns - namely the broke ass Valks in the northern part? I think if you can avoid those tiles, it should be fairly simple to do this. Who do you plan on murdering the boss with? I assume that your key members are going to be anyone that can one round Valks, because that's going to be the key to winning this chapter. Are you going to recruit Harken? I feel he's one of the best for that job. Raven is also good for obvious reasons. And, hello. Long time no see.
