  1. The only games in the series that follow the events of any game is 2 (that follows the events of 1), but even then, the game explains all you need to know to understand the story in the opening-credits-thingy, if I'm not mistaken, so you can pretty much play any game of this franchise in any order you want, really. There isn't much of a "consensus" in regard to which one is the best. In terms of story, I usually see 2 and Strange Journey, and 3 ("Nocturne" in the US, "Lucifer's Call" in the UK) is pretty popular too, in pretty much every regard. In terms of gameplay, IV is the easiest to get into.
  2. Super Smash Bros. Melee introduced me to several franchises, like Earthbound and, well... Fire Emblem. I never really went out of my way to get a game of this franchise, though, so the first contact I really had with FE was through 3DS's Ambassador Program, with Sacred Stones. Enjoyed the plot and especially the cast, and was absolutely blown away by the fact that this huge cast of characters all had unique and developed personalities and backstories. Then, I bought Awakening and went on to play the rest of this series.
  3. 1 - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 2 - Fire Emblem: Binding Blade 3 - Metroid Prime 2: Echoes 4 - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty 5 - Shin Megami Tensei IV / Diablo 2
  4. I would post the theme of Tristram, from Diablo 1 and 2, but for the sake of unpredictability, I'm just gonna leave this here.
  5. You seem to be forgetting about Elibe's Scouring. It has sympathetic "villains", not-as-sympathetic heroes, with the asshole-side winning in the end, while still keeping those themes of friendship with the Eight Legends. ...why hasn't this been suggested yet?
  6. The last book I finished reading was The Hobbit, at the beginning of this year (February, I believe). Recently, I started reading The Silmarillion, and I'm enjoying it, thus far. I really like the "Bible-like" approach to its narrative (at least in the beginning), especially considering how it deals with how the world was created and such.
  7. In terms of personality, I'd say Seth. I really enjoy serious, "knightly" characters, that put honor and their duty above their feelings and individuality, something that's really well explored in Seth's character, especially in his Support with Eirika. I also like Marisa, more so because I can relate to some of her Supports (Gerik's, in particular). In terms of gameplay, I like Wolt and Lilina a lot. Wolt because of his design and because he's always useful in my playthroughs, and Lilina, for pretty much the same reason (in Lilina's case, not only attacking, but also healing, in her promotion, which is extremely useful).
  8. - In Fire Emblem 6, I commonly sent Roy, Wolt and Lilina (when she's available) to the front lines. Oddly, it always works. and Roy ends up demolishing everything. - I ship Aversa x Robin. I really think it works, on multiple levels.
  9. ...well, true, but we do have the Gaiden (or Anecdotes, or whatever) chapters, that greatly develops these characters, and also includes some very badass moments (especially the Virgo one). And Next Dimension can go die in a fire, honestly. ...seriously, why does Kurumada hate the Taurus Saints so much? :'(
  10. I'd say my favorite anime, thus far, is Samurai Champloo. I don't really know how to explain why, I just freaking love it. The characters are really good, it can be really funny and really emotional at times and the action scenes are very good. And the soundtrack is godly. Another anime I deeply enjoy is Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas, mainly because of the characters (especially the Gold Saints). (and I also liked the Fire Emblem anime, and wish there were more episodes.)
