Do Songstress and Villager promote to anything or are they special classes that can go to a higher level like Dancer and Villager in Awakening?

I can't see it but that might be more to do with the fact I can't tell what the heck is going on with that over-designed nonsensical outfit.

They may have been referring to the purple text box which occurs after choosing Nohr, correct? I feel like the dark dress will only appear after a certain point in the story. It makes sense for her to wear the lighter Hoshido dress at the start of both routes what with her having lived in Hoshido regardless of which route is chosen. That screen cap may be taken very early in the Nohr route before she changes dress. Or the dark dress could be cutscenes only which would be a shame.

I think last week we got scans on Wednesday (roughly in the morning for the US and afternoon for Europe). EDIT: Sorry I just read you asked for when we got the preview. That may have been earlier but I forgot which day.

I'm a little confused. Do we know Harold's base class? I don't know why I just assumed he joined as a (Brave) Hero. But seeing that he promotes from something means be must join as a unpromoted class? Nevermind I reread the write up lol. Fighter it is.

The final boss will probably have a skill where their stats can't be lowered I'm calling it now.

When I saw units were getting personal skills in this game I thought that'd just mean regular class skills normally unobtainable for that character (like how some spotpass characters in awakening came with lord class skills or opposite gender locked class skills). I didn't expect units would get a new individual skill tailored to their personality. That's cool. it's just a shame some of them are looking a lot better than others...

That's still 4 promoted classes to choose from. Or 3 depending on overlap but since the number of reclass options has been reduced it would be pretty unlucky for a character to get 2 base classes which shared a promoted class. 2 base classes and 4 promoted classes is still 12 skills to choose from and that doesn't even include the extra personal skill that all characters seem to be getting. So I think that's still some good choice. The only thing I'm disappointed with is Joker's choice of classes. They may make sense from a character perspective, but he has 2 physical promoted classes, 1 mixed and one magic class. There weren't many examples of characters in awakening who could pull off both physical and magical classes. That along with the fact that there's not a lot of weapon overlap between Joker's 2 class trees I don't know if his physical options are looking so viable. I'm really hoping that all the characters get 2 usable class trees that make sense for that character and product interesting and unique skill combinations while also staying balanced.

If rod knights can promote to butlers/maids does that mean Elise, princess of Nohr, could become a maid? Doesn't seem a class befitting royalty. I'm definitely making her a valkyrie.
