Looks like you haven't been keeping up to date with the Awakening kids in this game then. Since both the gameplay and the fanservice have been cranked up to 11 and that's where the series is going, I'm not mad since I accepted it. The lines your male units have for you are more lewd than some of the females anyway, and this is the best I've seen an optional otome style feature implemented and respected.

Yeppers. Overlap is rough but usually avoidable/ offset by awesome abilities available from the combinations anyway. Everyone technically has Dark Flier and Dread Fighter open to them again but if you want them you need to pay for the other paths.
