  1. I'll still work for those red badges then. If they have different roles, then it'll be nice to switch them off. Or at least have the option for a 5-star Marth I never used her in FE7 but I loved her story and character, plus her design in Heroes is just like how I would have imagined her in FE7. I agree, she's a great character, I'm sad that she's not as good on her own.
  2. So I recently rolled a 5 star Lucina, does she make a 5-Star Marth redundant or should I still worth on promoting Marth to 5 stars?
  3. That was my thoughts on Linde. I've seen her a lot more for a reason and I've heard she's really strong. Who would be good to use with Nino and what about Raven? I haven't heard much about him, so I don't know how strong he can be or will be, etc. Also I don't want to completely drop Nino and possibly Cordelia if I can find good situations for them, so I was wondering who Nino synergises with (also draw back has become very helpful for me). Cordelia suffers from Takumi in general, so she might be useful eventually.
  4. I currently have a 5 star Lyn, Linde, and Raven, and I have enough feathers to promote one unit to five stars and I have Nino 40 and Cordelia 40+1 from normal play, but I'd rather have one of them as 5 stars. My current roster is Lyn, Cordelia, Nino, Lissa (just pulled Linde and Raven), but I plan to replace Lissa with Linde, however Lissa may be better to promote. Other options include Marth, Camilla, and Gordin, but I would rather stick with one of the other characters that I'm more familiar with how to use the effectively. Thanks! Edit: If there's a better place for this please let me know :)
  5. I'll feel really bad if you made this one with multiple choices because I made a comment about it in the Fates one haha. Though it's great you did listen to it as totally legit criticism, even if it was meant in jest. Few people on the internet do that. Anyway, I guess I'll explain my picks while I'm at it. Lissa: Very good magic user and overall a fun character. Good supports with MaMU and I just enjoyed her character and design personally. Imo she could be argued as the "canon" pairing (I know there's technically none, but it's fun to think about), but a lot of characters could be argued. I think her and Lucina have the strongest arguments for them, personally. Owain also is a great character, so you get a really strong Owain with MaMUxLissa. Cordelia: Really good physical fighter and iirc has the best growths out of all of the characters, but don't quote me on that. Her supports are really good and more unique with MaMU than the majority of the other males in the cast, revolving less around Chrom than her, plus her backstory adds a lot to her character. She also creates red head Morgan which is the best Morgan. Basillio:
  6. I think I found a solution. Short answer: Make sure you have plenty of room for the 400 mb patch, if you have your phone full of stuff the patch will constantly have to download So I got to a point that closing the game required me to redownload everything, so I went spelunking in the two feet of cave that is the iPhone settings. I found that my Fire Emblem Heroes storage was only 78.4 mb, standard size with no patch, not the 596 mb it is with the patch. I saw that I had about 200 mb left on my phone and I went on cleaning everything, eventually freeing up 1.3 Gb of room. I'm currently downloading the patch, and will update if I find something. My theory is that it is part of the game's cache as clearing the cache from the game wipes the massive patch. This means that the patch will be written over or deleted if the phone needs to, or that to play it needs to download the patch and hold it in ram, which would not surprise me cause when I last downloaded the patch it was stuttering and slow, which would happen from sharing so much ram space. I highly recommend keeping an eye on your phone's storage to prevent this from happening if you run your phone near capacity a lot or have little storage to begin with. Hopefully this helps others with the problem.
  7. Lol nah, it's all good, I was just teasing a bit. I'm more just saying that there's so many good picks that it's almost impossible to decide.
  8. Only letting us pick one, that's harsh. Luckily you put Lilith there, so that made it easy. I saw Lilith and was like "that's the S-Support" cause when you transform into a dragon, having a dragon partner may be nice, but then the game was like "haha npc". Honorable mentions to Felicia and Kagero. In my one file that was for long term grinding, Kagero has been a really good debuff and supporting unit, and in replaying the stories Felicia has good supports and is a good supporting character with her personal skill. I have to give Azura a shot since my first few playthroughs she seemed too judgmental, but maybe my opinion has changed. Leo and Takumi's supports are my favorite male-male supports, and between the two I liked Leo a bit more, but Takumi is also great. Justice was also a fun character to have around. Fates had a lot of good characters and good supports. Of course there were some lackluster characters and supports, but that doesn't make all of them bad.
  9. So the problem occurred again, but I noticed it in relation to something else which was really interesting. So my phone is jailbroken and I use tsProtect 8+ to play, otherwise it would crash. I usually set an alarm on my phone at night and to prevent it from being screwed up I put my phone into safe mode. When I brought it out of safe mode I had to reinstall the patch. I turned off my phone and turned it back on and the problem was still there and it's sitting at 91% right now. This doesn't really point to anything, but it's certainly interesting. Edit: Happened again with no respring/boot from safe mode. I'm at a loss at this point.
  10. Prior to Heroes, I would say it would easily be Fates heavy (when there are essentially 10 lord-like characters alone in that game) and some of the Awakening favorites, followed by some Smash characters (Marth, Roy, Ike) and if we were lucky we'd get Eliwood, Lyn, and Hector. I had no idea about villains, but I would have predicted Awakening+Fates along with new people. Now that Heroes is out, I think that there's a much better chance of previous characters returning (not sure why but when I saw Hawkeye I knew that they weren't afraid to go with anyone regardless of how old they were). I think that we could see something like heroes with certain characters focused first and more added later. I think they won't add everyone (obviously), but do it sort of like: Characters focused on in Heroes and other popular picks, like Camilla, Takumi, Lyn, Roy, Chrom, Lissa, Azura; the 5 star focus heroes and characters like Chrom, Ryoma and Xander who many people will recognize. After that, "game packs", like a Fates pack, Awakening pack, Blazing Blade pack, etc. I could see some packs being released together, but again with them reaching back to into some of the older games for Heroes they really could go anywhere with it. I'm happy about this though, I really didn't want FE:3DS Warriors. As for best fitting characters, really anyone. There'll be at least one of each character archetype. I could see them going with Chrom, Lucina, Robin, Lyn, Hector, Eliwood, Camilla, Takumi, and Ike for the first set, then expand out with Roy, Xander, Ryoma, and others as unlocks through an Adventure mode like Hyrule Warriors.
  11. Besides the obvious like Eliwood, I'm not that fond of Cordelia. Her design is growing on me more, but something about her head shape, or something. It's not bad, but just too different, which that seems to be the recurring trend of the good designs and bad designs.
  12. In all honesty that's what I should have tried in the first place. It seems to be working now, but I'll have to wait and see what it does tomorrow as it's random when it decides to update. I'll be back if the problems persist, thanks!
  13. Nope, I did that when I first started and it made sense to redownload the patch. This is just normal play, opening the app and finding the patch again. iPhone 5c on iOS 8. Yeah, I know the phone is a brick. At least it works :D I did consider this to be a possibility as my friend who has a 6s (I think, it's newer, that's all I know) never has this problem.
  14. I was wondering if this has been an issue for anyone else. Usually this is a minor inconvenience for me but when I wanted to play without a wifi connection today this was a problem for me and I started looking into it. I obviously have downloaded it before, but it randomly redownloads the patch anyway and it has happened since the game launched but only in the past couple days has it become persistent. I think that it's a bug they'll patch out soon, but if anyone has had this problem and/or has found a solution to it I would be appreciative of the help. Thanks!
