  1. I completely agree that different aspects of the franchise's art wax and wane in quality but I would disagree on some of these GBA's battle animations are indeed the best combat animations by an extremely large margin, especially FE8's smooth new ones I think Hidari's official art for FE15 is the best, something about it just fitting the anime and medieval aspects of the series at the same time is great I think FE5 has the best talking sprites/portraits. They're just so striking in their outlining and coloring. They feel like more detailed, less saturated versions of the GBA ones FE16's maps are so amazing looking but idk if I'd say I would want to see the style again considering that their sheer detail and beauty seems to have limited how many they could make FE10's UX/UI does stand out now that you mention it, never thought about it before but looking back at each, I agree FE13/14's FMV style was so great. While I actually like the FE15/16 style, the 13/14 one outdoes it so hard that it makes me wonder why they changed. Were they too costly or something?
  2. Looking at the timeline of releases since FE12 (I'm gonna assume that's when they settled into their current development style/cycles) you'd have: 2010 - New Mystery of the Emblem 2012 - Awakening 2015 - Fates 2017 - Shadows of Valentia 2019 - Three Houses There's a very consistent 2-3 year schedule going on here. If you asked me in February after Cindered Shadows released, I'd have said that we'd see the next Fire Emblem release in 2021. However, I'm not so sure anymore. Assuming every game got bumped back by 0.5 - 1 years due to the pandemic, then I would say late 2021/early 2022 if it's a remake; late 2022/early 2023 if it's an entirely new game. Multiple sources have said that Nintendo cancelled several 3DS projects after how horribly the last few titles they released bombed and one of those was supposedly an FE remake. I would bet good money on our next title being a remake that gets revealed in whenever next year's first direct is, gets slated for late 2021, and then delayed into very early 2022. Now, as for what game could be remade? I would LOVE Genealogy of the Holy War and it definitely needs a remake the most (with modern support features, in-game guides for the mechanics, and more) but I think it's an exact 50/50 chance between FE4 and Binding Blade. On one hand, much like how Three Houses is very clearly inspired by FE4 in a number of ways, there were notably quite a few references to/inspirations from Gaiden in the two titles leading up to its remake in addition to the game's cast having surge in popularity and interest from Heroes. On the other hand, Binding Blade has all the Smash attention drawn towards it, it has a nostalgia factor for all the kids who grew up with FE7, it's way more straightforward and simple than FE4 is, and the legendary "I wanna do FE6 next" interview from the FE15 director.
  3. The man doesn't even like to make the world aware that he even exists, let alone his opinions on anything. I remember hearing a while back that he had said something about FE11 in an interview but never found a source on that so I'm gonna assume that was an assumption. I hadn't even thought about the FE1 port. Nintendo hates his guts and technically they own the software. I'm not super well versed on copyright/credits and stuff, would Nintendo have to legally credit Kaga in the FE1 port? Unless they absolutely have to, I don't see them doing so
  4. That could very well have been written and included very close to when the game went gold. Since the game wasn’t sold on carts and instead downloaded through a kiosk, I can’t imagine it having a lot of time between gold and release. With that in mind, I’d theorize that the Deluxe Edition launched alongside the Nintendo Power kiosk version.
  5. The only ones I could see being likely are FE3, considering how that’s the only other one on NSO and was one of the better selling/well known entries in Japan, and FE6, due to the west’s long-held curiosity about Roy since his Melee appearance and FE7’s ending, assuming they hadn’t played a fanslation. I don’t think FE2 is off the table just because of FE15, namely because the 3DS just ended it’s life cycle recently, but I think it’s less likely. FE4, however, feels like they’re building up for a remake similar to how they kept referencing Gaiden a ton or calling back to some of its features before remaking it. FE5 wouldn’t get ported or remade before FE4. FE12 would be awesome but I don’t think that one is entirely likely before FE3
  6. Title. Do we know it? I want to do a replay but anything aside from Faye as a Cleric seems very stupid to me on Alm's route and I was wondering if she'd have Physic so I could try Faye as something else like Pegasus Knight. Edit: Going off of Linkmstr's video as a Level 3 Saint she only had Nosferatu and Conjure but I don't think it's her actual spell set considering
  7. (I got a warning for this being a double post but I don't know how to delete it, I'm on the PC-version on mobile)
  8. I was considering Flora too My Velouria's mother is Hana, I usually don't like marrying the shapeshifters because it just seems weird to me
  9. Seems like it, I've planned out skills for all my character but I'm having a hard time deciding on a set for Anna. Any ideas?
  10. Yeah, Pair-Up Bonuses and quality as a parent are what I mean by optimization
  11. I did Lv 20 Diviner -> Lv 5 Basara -> Lv 15 Oni Chieftain -> Lv 20 Onmyoji He turned out pretty well, I'd reccomend this Edit: This gives him Tomefaire, Rend Heaven, Death Blow, Counter, and (Mag +2?) you can put whatever in here like Quixotic if you have an Eternal Seal
  12. Who's the most optimal of these for Kana? I'm fine with any of them, thanks.
  13. I don't see many people who agree with this, thank you.
  14. That would've been neat to have them playable , as long as they had no dialogue as in the final product and similar to how the mute option for Robin worked in the Japanese version of Awakening.
