I have Amazon Prime but there were issues with my credit card. I got it fixed though but I have the same issue as the OP.

I just checked my amazon, and it said the special edition I preordered got pushed back to Feb 23.

I'm wary about this. The developers took time to make the feature, and NA decides to take it out? Now I'm wary of articles by Kotaku now.
