  1. I intially wanted to branch out and cover characters from games I haven't played....and decided that I don't know what to do. So, decided to go with the Awakening conqueror who would have been an alright "Lu Bu-esque" enemy. Emperor Walhart of Valm. Trying to find the right balance was difficult, I accidently gave him a another Awakening gauge with his Unique Action so I tried to make it a bit more defensive although it is still a buff button. I have no idea for Unique Support, just anything that would allow him to break through guards was the idea.
  2. Their growth rates and their classes growth rates can now be found in the datamine spreadsheet found on the Engage page.
  3. My initial guess for Nel based on the Japanese name of the skill: 守護者 (meaning Guardian / Protector) is that it will be the Defense version of Alcryst's personal skill. It would be a bit boring if they go that route so I hope not. I have no idea for Nil. Complex (コンプレックス) feels like it could end up being variety of effects (like Constance's Circadian Beat or Takumi's Competitive for the insecurity factor). Although, my lazy guess is that it will end up being a copy of Bernadetta's Persecution Complex. My absolute worst guess for the Fell Dragon Twins is that Nel and Nils have Sakura / Hinoka's personal skill as an inverse of Alear and having Camilla's and Elise's respectively. Have no idea for the Three Wings, I assume Gregory will humourously either have a skill that activiates when he is at Full HP or ironically one that requires him to take damage. Also speaking of personal skills, I know they likely won't bother to change it but it would be a neat detail if the evil versions of the characters end up with different/inverse personal skills as a reflection.
  4. To add, are you also looking for stat caps? It isn't a big deal for the main-game but as someone who is looking into that for My Castle battles (and perhaps rarely, PVP). That is potentially a factor although I don't know if using the hack, could potentially result in a shadowban. Also it has been a while since I checked about the Gay Fates hack, I recall that there were also expanded pairings as well such as Scarlet and Flora getting more pairing options as well. Btw, what about A rank pairings? Is that still possible with the Gay Fates hack? How does it work?
  5. Whichever works for you! I'm mainly going for overkill here. The Lord's personal skill have a built in Essence beyond the infusion into it which means that if they use a charge attack or combat arte that correspond to their respective element, they will get the powerful version of it. Fiendish Blow (I'll be honest. Even with my basic research, I still don't know exactly what it does beyond the possibility that it increases the rate of element status activating on the enemy) basically activates every time there is an element interaction. This seems to be the case for every attack the Lords does as Fiendish Blow just keeps showing up as you attack with them.
  6. So in light of the update which features the Apex skills getting fixed (unless that was a false alarm). I have decided to share a very basic Claude build. Critical Claude As a unit, Claude's personal isn't notable. Wind is probably running for the contender of worst element when compared to the damage output of Fire, Lightning and Darkness. It also doesn't have any other utility compared to Ice or Light. It's still an elemental infusion so at least he gets some damage increase regardless. His support skill is decent. It synergize with the Wind element's damage boost in the air to allow him to boost his Awakening gauge. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Claude have abilities that would help him get to Awakening faster. Minor Crest of Riegan at max level has a 25% chance to heal when using a Combat Art. It's okay and helps his survivability when it could be needed. Claude will definitely be using Wind God often so it does have some chance to delay an elixir use unless you are running it with Lifeforce. Class: Bow Knight for both leveling and as his final class. As a note, Barbarossa is still a great option for him as his personal lord class but Bow Knight's Bowfaire allows his criticals to be more frequent. Mortal Savant opens up to his Wind spells especially Excalibur while retaining the critical boost from Swordfaire although he loses Apex Bow as a result. Ability Loadout Bow Prowess Boost Critical Apex Bow - It's now working! Claude's already high dex will see his damage output increase in no time. Seeker of Greatness Impossible Feat Dual Onslaught Offensive Tactics Wild Abandon - Pretty risky but why not? Absorb Dexterity - If the number of enemy officers are small, it can be swapped out. Heaviest Hitter - Still unknown how the Critical Rush damage is calculated but it's helpful to get as many critical rushes with his high dex. Possible Options Luna: Admittedly, it doesn't seem as strong anymore especially with the defense debuff being your Lck/10. Still a boost to consider. Archer’s Wisdom: This is dependent on how much you use the Class Action but at least Claude's high dex will help the damage. Sneak Attack: Not as reliable but Claude's high dex on the occasional sneak might be helpful. Fiendish Blow: It apparently activates with his personal skill so it's an option. Lifeforce: If one wants more damage on top of his absurd Wind God, be my guest. Although be careful of the HP loss on top of Impossible Feat. Cyclical Specials: Special loops for days. Driven Spirit: Assuming you are able to get Claude into Awakening often. Combat Arts/Spells Wind God: Yes. Hunter's Volley: Claude does not get Deadeye. He'll have to make do with Hunter's Volley Alternatively, Hide Presence, Drill Arrow and Tornado Shot are options to consider. Weapon Attributes Dexterity Factor・Reckless Power Boost Critical The Inexhaustible Dexterity Factor (or Reckless Power) increases his damage. Boost Critical is Boost Critical. The Inexhaustible helps with Wind God's cooldown and healing in intervals. Failnaught is an okay option for him if somewhat lacking. Fallen Star is not as good of a combat art for him beyond being helpful for Monsters and the increased range of Windbender doesn't do much else for him. Accessories Agile Dexterity Ring Critical Ring Monstrous Strength Ring Adjutants Hilda ≥ Lysithea > Lorenz as Wyvern Lord > Bow Knight/Trickster/Falcon Knight/Dancer Hilda having Awakening Assist synergize much better with Claude's support skill. Of course, Advocate will always be helpful for increasing the likelihood of when she attack and defend. She also tend to have better damage skills so that hit is going to hurt. Lightning is also a great element for his charge attacks. Lysithea's an option for increasing his Awakening and Warrior gauge through her support skill although admittedly, Claude's minor crest at 25% means it doesn't activate too often. Of course, can't neglect Dark Assist being helpful in increasing his damage output compared to Wind. Lorenz also gets Awakening Assist AND a support skill to even boost his Awakening gauge even further. That is about it with him though. Definitely his best male support. Wyvern Lord is a damage buff with the speed to help the Combat Arts cooldown. Trickster/Bow Knight/Falcon Knight increases his Dex even further beyond. If you are running Mortal Savant Claude then Dancer is likely their best options for the Adjutant class.
  7. Just curious but do stuff like the Prowess/Boost Critical skills increase damage of follow-up attacks or is that not found out yet?
  8. Quick opinions for most of the GD casts. No opinions on High Lord and Armor Lord. Fluegel: Protagonist power! It's fast, multi-hit, and strong. My only gripe is Strong Attack 3 not picking up commanders but that goes hand in hand with the rhythm they want you to pull with it. Wyvern Master: Still the weakest of the three lords. It's class action (Wyvern fireball~) and strong attacks really favor area control for stacking damage as opposed to raw power of the other two. It's fitting for Claude as a character but definitely going to be the least satisfying to play overall. Mercenary: Myrmidon 2. The class action is a little hard to chain into but if you get the timing down right, you get a nice speed boost to run up to a commander and slash them. Still probably the least fun to play of the swords though. Thief: Oh man, the increase in attack speed makes a world of difference in shredding the shield gauge along with good strings and multi-hit strong attacks. Best of the generic swords. Will see how it pays off even more with Assassin and Trickster. Cavalier: Hits surprisedly hard with decent strings. Class action is super fun to just hold and run through. Even great at breaking up groups that way. Pegasus Knight: Works almost like Cavalier, I'm almost inclined to say that it's stronger in some ways, especially when Strong Attack 4 lifts enemies with a gust of wind and allows them to chain in the air. Class action is easier to use than Cavalier but less fun to hold otherwise. Armor Knight: It's dash allows you to tackle lesser enemies which is pretty nice but overall, fit it's archetype to a tee. Strong and slow. When the attack hits, it hurts. Brigand: A bit bias as Hilda has a charge mechanic but overall, is similar to Armor Knight with the trade off being a much stronger attack. Still too slow for my liking and unlike Armor who has the defense to allow getting hit a few times in order to launch an attack, Brigand requires a much more careful method of approaching. Archer: Playing as Archer is almost a uphill battle everytime as every other enemy seems to have no problem interrupting you. Even Brawlers, which Archers are suppose to have an advantage against, can straight up pummel them before they start their string. Has the potential to be strong but the current attack speed leaves ALOT to be desired. Brawler: Like with Hilda, my view in this class is affected by Raphael's charge a bit but even so, WOW, it is good. Fast hits that are able to destroy guard gauge as fast as Thief. You pummel everyone. I still am not sure what to make do with the class action though since it's string and strong attacks is already superb. Priest: A bit slow but good enough strings to hit your enemies with. Still might be better to fight alongside a teammate rather than having an adjutant assist. A good support class that can fight well. Mage: If it wasn't for the raw damage, I almost consider them somewhat inferior to Priest. If the opponent in question, isn't an archer, they will struggle. I feel like the class lacks some strong attacks that can effect the guard gauge but they still do have the power to hit the enemies Res which is valuable.
  9. I would like to confirm that I have gotten the 25 anniversary theme code! Thank you to ThorriXD for this giveaway!
  10. Hmm, keep in mind, I'm not very knowledgable but I still want to give it a try. Friendship class should be with Mozu, giving you the Archer class line. Sniper and Kinshi Knight are very good in Wifi or so I heard. Optimally, we would want a pairing that can support Effie's Puissance (assuming that you are going to use her in one of the Wifi battle teams) while also pairing her mods to a child that synergize. Of course, this technically would mean that you want to give her a Berserker pairing since it's pairup gives the most strength as well as some speed. So there are mostly only two candidates: Arthur and Keaton. Both of these pairings give stellar pairup stats in strength plus Effie's mods are great for Percy and Velouria respectively.
  11. This is just my impression from reading about FE three houses discussion elsewhere. I won't be commenting on in-house exclusive units. (with the exception being the Church units.) Other units not mentioned here are due my ignorance in their usage. Difficulty being Maddening for the most part. Strong both inhouse and out of house overall. Felix: Great growths and great major crest all help him to become a monster in combat. Can work in any physical classes. Most notable/mentioned around are Sniper, Grappler and War Master. Lysithea: Everything said have already been said but it has been agreed that her combat can be somewhat overrated in some playthroughs. Frail magic glass cannon with the highest warp range. Notable classes being Gremory and Dark Knight. (Dark Flier gets mentioned sometimes with her because flying is that good) Leonie: Known for being quite fast and decently tanky. Has the famed Point-Blank Volley although it does take a while to get A rank. Keep her away from mages at all cost as she can get one-shotted if not careful. Like Felix, she can be strong in any physical classes but Bow Knight is her most popular choice followed by Falcon Knight. Petra: Another speed demon like Leonie who traded her slight bulk and PBV for better weapon proficiencies, most notably in Axes and Flying meaning that she will have an easier time reaching Wyvern Lord and Alert Stance+. (Not that Leonie can't reach those though) Other classes she is known for is Assassin but any physical class will work with her especially those that allow her to dodge well. Contested units for strong inhouse and out of house. Bernadetta: Her Vengeance build and the worth of her personal skill is starting to make rounds but there has been some pushback, especially those who dislike the glass cannon aspect of that particular build. Ferdinand: His personal skill being one of the best to keep at full HP for a Hit and Dodge bonus is really effective. Pair up with Swift Strikes, and you got one godly unit. However, some have problems in regard to his recruitment difficulty. As such, he is also a contender for being strong inhouse but require a bit of investment out of house. His two classes are Paladin for pure Swift Strike and Wyvern Lord for dodgetank. Sylvain: Ferdinand's competitor. Trades the ability for better hit and dodge for an easy recruitment at chapter 2 and the Lance of Ruin with female Byleth. Quite contested because of his poor dexterity and lacking the essential dodge that Ferdinand can provide by some. Often for many tier lists, you may find people who argue that "wherever Sylvain is, Ferdinand should be there as well." or vice-versa. Same classes as Ferdinand. Linhardt: His utility gets brought up highly in other places especially with his combination of Physic and Warp. However reading the room here, I can see that his average magic makes his healing not as potent as someone like Mercedes plus it's not often you need two Warp users. Strong inhouse, requires investment out of house. Annette: The rally queen, very valuable during any Blue Lions run especially since their route grants her the magic axe Crusher. She is seldom recommended for OOH since there are other units. Notable classes are Dark Flier, Gremory, Warlock and Wyvern Lord due to her Axe access (although it's somewhat considered a meme despite how good it can be). Ignatz: The most accurate hitter in Three Houses. Can support others with his rallies or debuff enemies with the Break Shot + Seal Strength combination. Is finding a lot more support for those doing GD inhouse runs, otherwise, he isn't as recommended out of house. His only notable class is Sniper for Hunter's Volley is required for him to accurately secure kills. Hilda: Only available to recruit immediately in Blue Lion and locked out until way later in the game with Black Eagles Silver Snow with a very small window to recruit her. Even then, her requirement to recruit can be a bit of a hassle and her performance OOH require a bit of work for her to catch up (especially if you are going to use her in BE SS for whatever reason). Her most notable flaw is her poor dexterity not working as well for an Axe user. That being said, she is still quite an offensive powerhouse if you use her in-house. Strong out of house, requires investment in-house. (Probably the most controversial) Ingrid: Derided inhouse for her poor bases, and is often subjected to being benched, invested through stat boosters, or put as an adjutant until she gets better in some discussion involving BL maddening runs. OOH gives her enemy Pegasus growths which makes her far more effective when recruited at Chapter 6. Regardless of whether she is inhouse or not, she is still considered to be an effective dodge-tank especially against mages which is what allows her to stand out differently from the more offense-based Leonie and Petra, both of which have poor Res. Mercedes: The most potent healer out of all the healers but her effectiveness is being challenged a lot elsewhere. Her biggest problem (at least with Maddening) is her delayed Physic for Chapter 2 (D rank instead of D+ like Marianne and Linhardt). While this is obviously not an end-all be all once she gets Physic, the effectiveness of Restore and most notably Fortify is also challenged due to different situations for some when put against Marianne's Silence (and her reason spell containing Thoron) or Linhardt's Warp (alongside some discussing Excalibur vs Ragnarok). However, she is considered to be a good OOH healer for both GD and BE. For GD, Marianne is sometimes considered as dancer material and Mercedes makes a good replacement healer. For BE, she can join in healing alongside Linhardt (since his magic may not be as effective depending on his growth) or be Jeritza's adjutant in CF. Another thing to note with her is that she have an alternative build as a Magic based Sniper with the Magic Bow+ (once you get the Dark Merchant). Church of Seiros group (a.k.a Catherine, Shamir, Seteth and Cyril) Catherine: very strong early game for BL or GD runs especially if you manage to recruit her in Chapter 4. She may or may not fall off depending on how she performs from there and what build you ultimately decide to go with her. Some rate her early game performance quite highly while some find her later game performance quite disappointing as well as her somewhat late recruitment in Silver Snow being a problem. (Although in her case, she is still useable) Shamir: The premier Sniper available in all routes especially with how good Hunter's Volley is with only a few grinding investment. She only requires Death Blow and Hit+20 for her to be effective throughout the entire game. Although because of that, her build is quite limited to a degree and not everyone is on board with it just yet but it is growing. Seteth: The third force that joins the Mêlée à Trois in Swift Striker users discussion. Often considered to be inferior to the other two due to the later recruitment time, and a slightly less effective personal skill. Nevertheless, he is somewhat valued due to his good base when joined and requires only a little investment to get him rolling. Cyril: It's basically "dealing with bleh bases at Chapter 5 recruitment vs early C+ Point Blank Volley". Obviously, if Catherine is meh for Silver Snow, then Cyril is likely to be even worst especially since he scales with Commoner's growth. It's also worth noting that he can also learn Vengeance but this build is not as popular because of E rank lance but he can get there relatively quickly since lance is a boon for him. He is going to require some investment but some say that it only requires a few nudges for him to get going while others feel he is not worth it. Ashen Wolves (minus Balthus) 😞 Yuri: Lord-like growth. Most known for being the unit with the most Speed growth at 65% meaning he will always on average, have good speed but trade for having some really cumbersome banes which limits his final class options. The bane in flying in particular fuels some debates between his performance and Petra's. Constance: The premier black mage known for being the best Bolting user. Her dexterity can be a bit of an issue so some don't find her as reliable as Lysithea. Hapi: Mediocre growths but have a versatile spell list. Very effective when dealing with monsters or for debuffing certain units. Have other issues such as her neutral faith means she will take time to learn Physic and Warp and her authority weakness can be an issue (although Seiro Holy Monk is already good enough.) That is all that I know for now. Just note that these are impressions so it's not completely accurate to the more specific discussions that they have.
