oh wow so many pages x^x also this is really long so going into a spolier tag: i am also very sorry if there are aome/alot of missed errors on this, its hard to correct things on my phone and in some cases i dont feel like potentially loosing everything I wrote overa typo or a capitailzation error. Personally, i think it might be the shonen-manga like appeal (if any of you are from Japan feel free to correct or even ridicule me for making this assumption) which is a general appeal that seems to honestly be more popular in japan by the general crowd, from what ive been told its normal for many people to pick up the weekly SJ even if they really arent too into manga/anime and like only 1-2 series. THIS [\b] however does not appeal to most North Americans at least. (Im only going to vouch for my loclaization area, mind you. I dont live in/know all about the culture of all countires other than Japan, so Im not going to pretend to know the general interests there. not sayingr i know much about Japan, I know thats just a thing) So I do think change is needed HOWEVER I dont think any major changes are needed to the conquest and borth right routes I personally think more things should be explained but also still leave the same amount of questions, heck make it even more confusing. FNAF sells all of its games for this reason, nintendo would benefit from the third route, espeically when people like being left woth questions like us, americans seem to, seriosuly people are addicted to trying to find more about the FNAF lore. anyway here's my two sense, with what i said above in mind [spoiler=There be many spoilers here] First off I think the games needs to be alot like Higurashi no naku koro ni (& kai) they Implemented the loop and pocket dimensions, now they need to utilize them! Aqua/Azura NEEDS to be aware even if it takes until a certain chapter to be aware of this, much like Rika from higurashi espeically seeing she does everytime if the third route isnt completed. She also, like Kamui needs to NOT remember about the invisble kingdom, at first. this needs to be realized later in the first choice of the playthrough, then during the second one with them obviously failing the first time because the followed birthright/conquest, Aqua/Azura and Kamui (after some prompting) needs to remembers what happened the first time. they then try to prevent it by taking the side the player didnt choose at first, obviously remembering earlier on, within the first 6 chapters, determinded to not only set things right but to also maybe not loose anyone they hold dear and close. (maybe even make them both feel guilty and like ot was thier fault for not being able to prevent it, especially Aqua seeing she probably remembers all the times beforehand, with hinting at the stories being different the previous times before the games, yet again like rika) now this is where things get complicated, especially if route 3 stays DLC, if the player doesnt have route 3 the game needs to force them to be stuck in it by making the two main characters NOT remember the first time/ w/e around then they go back to teh scratxhing booard and have you choose yet again. if the invisible kingdom is included then this, or is purchased then when it comes to makig a choice the third time around (or whatever tome it ends up being if its dlc), both Kamui and Aqua are exaugshted from this and are honestly mentally scarred. this is where another charcter needs to become alot more important, Lilith (oh gods I hope i spelled her name right becauss i cant check atm). The two run away from the scene once declaring they will take neither side. Lilith then joins up with them as well, lilith holds both of thier memories/knowledge of the invisble kingdom, one she knows that they are aware of thier situations, she can also reveal how this came to be with minimal detail making players want to buy that dlc as well, hey nintendo can use the money [\s] she insists that both kingdoms need to come together and they need the fire emblem to help stop the heartless Hydra (maybe even somehow if possible involve the heart of hydra, that way hydra can return to himself and leave it so Kamui is still a prince/princess and let them be with whoever they want them to be with. (also plz make kamui and Azura not cousins by blood at least guys.) anyway have this be the goal, (with maybe finding the "heart of hydra" this seriously sounds like kingdom hearts now ) that the heroes set off on. the curse idea should be removed, i think instead botj sides of the family need to think that those two are loosing thier marbles/going insanse, because at first that is a very, very logical response to the whole you know "we need to stop fighting, killing and hating each other beecause there is an invisble kingdom where this dragon keeps resetting everything and Garon is just a puppet, we're all just puppets we need to stop this!" ummmm, yeah kamui.....? are you okay? then kamui like how it already is needs to run around and convince everyone to believe in them and join them, keeping the rest relatively the same. Secondly i think They need to scrap the idea of two copies. Or fond some complicated way to link the two saves up via sd card or some bs because of what i said above honestly, this would be moved to above but it is very hard for me to edit on my phone [\s] other details: the kids (i think aqua's kid or kanna should explain it all like how Lucina explained her reason for being there in the story) should explain that they are from a fate ripped apart from the rest, like before hydra decided to only have the humans as his toys and make the world loop constantly. thus forcing thier existences into a pocket dimension (much like the ones the parents would be trapped in, seriously, thats what happened in higurashi minus the future kids) maybe have them appear in the third route, or fond some way to keep the pairings throught all routes [i think it would be interesting yet heart breaking in some cases like Ryoma or Marx's cases like if Kamui or Aqua were ro marry one of them] for the kids I think maybe more so have aqua's kid appear forst and if aqua doesnt have a support yet have him keep his father's identity a secret until she is married, so i think he is the best candidate to this. the children break free and try to assist thier parents end it, succeed or not (unless throd path, then again i guess its a failure if you get a game over......yes im getting all quantum physics on you guys.) The hoshido siblings relationship to the avatar needs to be different, same for aqua and the nohr family, mind you this part is before the time-loop actually begins. There needs to be memories even of they need to be locked away for a while due to scarring events at an early age (god im givjng these two lots of amnesia, but dont worry this amnesia goes away quickly this time). Have a scene even if blacked out to keep the addition small, that shows kamui used to know they werent related (i dont k ow how young kamui was but either a.) kamui was old enough to have memories meeting them, or b.) kamui was old enough to remember the hoshido siblings mother dying, even if its giving birth to sakura. Either two can commect to tbis point: afterwards then have Kamui become the step-sibling, even if its fake, because honestly, i dont believe much time passed because kamui is still small and young when garon strikes, and the king would have to get re-married publicy, so why not lie and say hes married to mikoto so she and kamui can be safe with even more reason to have the royal guard, well guard the two. then the two can later fall in love. This period of time can allow kamui and the siblings to forge a strong bond, seeing kamui is alone, lost and confused due to thier memories being wiped and the hosido siblings loosing thier mother, which can allow them to become extremely close fast because of the hardships would pull them together, especially seeing its unlikely they would know and be able to be friends woth any other children thier age. then (fake) garon strikes, and kamui and aqua (who i imagine goes through a similar process woth the nohr kids) which is ver scareing to witness and go through first hand and both the kids loose thier memories only to be recovered when kamui returns to hoshido and its explaind to them, maybe even have some trinkets to remind kamui about it , as a key almost, like toys/trinkets they all made together, as a promise to always be there for each other or some other cheesy adorable Baby hoshido family thing. There should also be some fond memories on how the nohr family took in and became close to kamui and vise-versa just to make it even more hearat-wretching later i know all of this is likely impossible, not saying it could happen/will happen. its more so a dream and story of mine, a little mental story i already started putting to the games before it even came out in Japan lol. [spoiler= Edit 1: (still going back and reading through but i felt like i needed to say this)] first off: MANY of you seem to be forgetting that (even though it isnt said direclty) hyrda is a very important character and is playing a MUCH BIGGER role than you make ot out to be, regardless if he is doing this in the shadows or not. The point everyone seems to be forgetting about is that the world of fates IS WOTHOUT A DOUBT a pocked dimension itself, and the people are trapped there to fight the war continously so he can cotinue to watch man-kind suffer. There is no the end other than The third path because Aqua dying IS a symbol of everything being reset again. Im not sure what is implied by the end of the third path other than the apparent cutscene, but wouldnt the third path (even though it seems apparently rushed) make the two kindgoms relaize theyve been manipulated by a being, have gone theough shit together because of it. times like that would bring the rulers together, so a conlfict started by those rules or even the sexond generation wpuld be unlikely. but more improtantly, why does everyone seem to fogrget Hydra's significance? yes from what I get its very subtle but when you think of it hes been manipulating them for years, heck he may have torn out his "heart" long ago or just finally did so he could torture the humans without having sympathy, he may even influenced the generations of hatred because he is old as dirt. im not sitting here and trying to hate on anyone or anything like that, i just find it very, very, concerning that most of the time this isnt even addressed? can we even take a step back to realize that the most recent skirmish was caused entirely by hydra? No one in Nohr (but technically the puppet) knew about this (unless i missed that info.) So literally there may not of been this war to this scale to be exact, espeically of the real garon used to be a more decent of a guy ten. yes they could still be fighting that could lead to a war, but they killed thier muchh beloved (from what i get from the snippets ive read, the counrty ADORED HER) queen ontop of the king (who i dont know of the country exactly adored but he wasnt portrayed as a nessecairly downrighy evil man either from the things ive read.). THAT could cause anger beyond belief, i mean seeiously ONE, just one murder like that (helped) caused a world war, let alone TWO. if i read correctly (seriously if i got all of this wrong please correct me) it was garon who did this but ultimately hydra who controlled the puppet i mean i can see people being turned off by the simple black and white (grey?) countries, but just because hydra wasnt memtioned much and seems trown in doesnt nessecarily make it so, seriously, think about it, please. it seems like so many of you are forgetting about all of this and it really bothers me that all of these intellegent people are overlooking this detail when postong about how things would change, because its still just as broken because of these otger details. or at least seems to me please correct me if im wrong. by no means am o trying to upset anyone or insult everyone, i seriously find this worrying. Yeah i dotn really care about the black and white/gray if anything i kond of enjoy it almost as a metaphor, at points. It just......bothers me. greatly. EDIT 2: Im not regarding anyone who covers all points and makes sure everything makes sense. Its just some people are saying get rid of hydra and have NOTHING to say about how hydras role will be replaced/ people who say hydra is entirely unessecary because et again All of you are incredibly intellegent, but its not uncommon for really mart, good scientists for example to look over a detail on accident due to a focus on something seemingly entirely different, thats why you need to make sure you're covering everything, especially seeing most of you actually played it. i dont know any japanese, especially not katakana, hiragana and kanji. I only Forge in FE 9 seeing I'ma avery casual player and I don't give two craps about any of the numbers as long as all my characters live X"D here's what I do: Step 1: save up alot of money that I should be spending on other crap (I only ever buy forged weapons, nothing else, maybe some more weaspons on a rare occasion I run out of free ones. I'm very stingy so I can make new weapons) step 2: pick out what kind of weapon I neeed, and the strongest avaible version of it that I can forge step 3: MAX OUT EVERYTHING step 4: Give it a ridiculous name with a ricidulous color step 5: give it to a character who is im permanent roster many of which the weapon is a bit OOC because they're named very random things step 6: profit and you're done! some of my examples of this are: Ike ALWAYS has a red sword named waffle. I hardly use Rangel, he is only allowed to use waffle swords. Soren gets a special wind tome named Tomatoes. Shinon get a green, purple or pink bow dubbed: Soap w/ bacon (if I use her) Mia gets a pink sword named Shih Tzu Wrath any and all other ones are unique to that save file X"D ....... I feel so out of place because of this..... >.<;;

The section of the fandom that acts all superior because they're the "old fans" and hate anyone who has ever played awakening. Who also hate on anyone who plays on any form of easy mode, and who only care about the hardest modes, and bragging rights. who claim that awakening is the bane of the series. I love fire emblem for the story, I like to play on the easiest setting due to that ( I think phoenix mode may be a bit too easy though for my personal tastes) , I actually enjoy the new air brought to the fandom. Honestly, I used to be terrified by most of the fandom and I felt like I was extremely unwelcome and that the other fans would hate me if I were to speak up. The DA Fe community were the less scary ones. With awakening there seems to be a lot more people who enjoy the games for what they are, and enjoying them for the story and enjoy it just because it can be fun. They kind of people who all post funny, silly pictures of the series because the series can be too serious for its own good. I like to laugh and have fun after I play a game because they can be very beautiful yet depressing (in an amazing way) and the other fans know how to lighten the mood and have fun. I ADORE that and it seems like other old fans like me are coming out now because there are actually friendly faces around.....I can't tell you how scared I was to join this site. Yes, there's quite a bit of fan-service now, but I don't honestly care much at all. I don't think it takes away from anything because most of it is optional anyway. Yeah, they're always going to be those weirdos in a fandom but I hardly ever really encounter them, maybe it's because I stick to Tumblr and adoptables sites, ( i don't go on DA often anymore) who knows. But...... I finally feel comfortable within the fandom and I'm terrified to talk to most fans still especially on more "core" sites like this. The thing I hate the most is the fandom, the hating "older fan" side of it. I honestly get extremely anxious even when posting here still. edit: I mean no offense to anyone but alot of you make it seem like people get waaaayyyyy too into the fanservice in a kind of creepy way, which yes I imagine some people would but whatever floats anyone's boat, I guess. Just don't go announcing it to the world, I personally am very "no public displays of affection" other than maybe a (short) hug (unless it's obvious comforting) or holding hands and what not. So I like to stay in the parts of the internet that are the same X"D unless it's like a ship or something but even then I keep it relatively innocent

I agree with CryborgZeta, awakening has brought in SO MANY new fans to the series and it was essentially the game that saved the series. I mean marth could still be the one but didn't both remakes under-perform? ( I could be wrong) Yes marth brought the series to the west, was the FIRST Fire Emblem lord,but most people only recognize him as the guy from smash, non-FE fans seem to know more about Lu than Marth. According to most people I encounter Marth is very flamboyant, and 100% homosexual. Which really isn't the case at all. I mean I think we will always have a cast of characters who are the most known, Marth and Ike will always be a part of that. Truth is, we are going to have to wait. What if Fates is even more popular than awakening internationally? What if Fe 9 & 10 go onto e-shop or even get remakes/ different ports and become extremely poplular (re-makes haven't done well so far but with polls and with the fact that xenoblade can get a 3ds port, windwaker can get a re-make and heck don't get me started on the KH games)? What if Marth's second port goes to e-shop? We don't know yet. As I mentioned earlier with current standings, I'm betting on Lu, she's seems to be Fire Emblem's Pikachu. ( Edit: With Marth being I guess Fire Emblem's Ash, maybe mewtwo while Ike would probably fit as FE's Charizard.) however we're not going to know for sometime yet for sure. For now, it's safest to say that at least Lu, Ike, and marth seem to be on the popular, Iconic characters boat, and don't seem like they'd budge for a while.

Chrom is definitely a major one but I think Lu would definitely does play that role, not only for the reasons that Hardin had mentioned but honestly I see far more art for Lucina now adays than any character. She's a character that is well loved and is very much recognized outside of the Fire Emblem Fandom. I follow quite a few Fire Emblem blogs and I'd say about 50% (not even trying to exaggerate here) is of Lu. Lu is also someone who can be equally popular amongst both genders, how do I put this.....when it comes to male characters, male main characters the opinion is very divided. Female ones, yes it's divided but because of the marriage system, Lu can be a female robin's daughter (I love her like my own personally, having her as a daughter is a major reason why I can't play as a male robin or pair chrom with anyone other than a female robin) or even a potential wife. I think those are two major reasons why Lu is in it more than Chrom and part of the reason why she's much more popular aside from her actual character. Which I think plays a role but we're not going to touch that right now. Think of pokemon, pikachu is designed to be the mascot because of how it can be loved by BOTH genders. Yeah it was in first gen but it was by FAR from the most popular, most used, most important and not even close to being the first Pokemon. HOWEVER when developing the anime they knew they needed a Pokemon that would appeal to both sexes. Something cute yet cool enough AND simple enough that anyone can recognize it and like it. Fire Emblem DEFINITELY has a much older, complicated audience but without question does Lu have the same appeal as pikachu. The factors that play in are just the same. She's also the only widely recognized female character of the series, partly due to smash and Awakening's popularity which yes the marriage system did help, I personally love it because Iove "shipping' people at random XD Yes, Anna is in every game, but Pikachu isn't obtaianble (you need to trade or whatever) in every game yet but that doesn't change a thing, everyone still knows who pikachu is. If it weren't Lu or Chrom aka No/Pre Awakening, I would definitely say Ike or Marth. Edit: With Ike, I'm honestly suprised to hear that most haven't played 9 & 10, because quite a few ears back when the only FE community i knew was the DA community FE 9 & 10 was really all I ever saw, EVER. with 7 being 2nd most seen for me at least

I don't know much about what the actual statistics of things but PoR was my first ever Fire Emblem game, and I had no idea at all what I was getting into gameplay wise. Seeing you have a few fire emblem games under your belt it should be fun and easy for you, especially on easy mode. Can't vouch much on the harder modes, I never really cared for them personally, the only thing I'm good with tactics wise are (on rare occasions) hair-brained schemes that actually some-how work. That's usually when I try to find a lazy way or cheat the system.

welp, I just read all 18 pages and I must partially agree with supershyguy, I want this equally or more than Fates. Now I just need to figure out how to stalk this thread. I have terrible luck with roms but this shure seems worth it to me. I'll back it up on EVERYTHING. Also as mentioned before, Pi, you are a beautiful spriter and you're hacking skills seem to defy what most people ever thought was capable in a Fire Emblem Hack, I honestly have a hard time believing that this is a hack instead of you just developing an FE game with some game-maker. That's what at least I've seen along with the pokemon fan-games. Also I hope to be able to read some good supports when it's done, I personally don't care for the whole picking parents out in a eugenics kind of way, I just go with who I think would be cute together seeing I'm unlike most people in the FE community and I'm mostly into Fire Emblem because of the story of each game. Though I must say all of the things you're adding seems like it'd make it alot more fun, having to keep my eye out for new abilities and what not. I'm very interested in seeing what you do regarding your new characters added in, what their backgrounds and personalities are like and how their supports work out. Will you be writing them out or would someone else? By the sounds of it you have a plan for that but I'm curious. Doubt you will ever read my little comment but still...... I also never played the original so I may not know who is added unless you say so, I'm honestly most interested in those characters because you seem to be a creative genius already. With your abilities I wouldn't be surprised if you would ever become an actual developer (if you wanted to at least). You seem to be a diligent worker too, yeah, you go on hiatus but it seems like you aren't giving up on it either, I appreciate that sooooo much, it seems like most hackers stop before they even get really started. I don't think I've ever seen any fully hacked games other than some shameless paint-overs (which were still fun). I have a feeling once this game is finished seeing it's highly unlikely for it to get an actual remake anytime soon or even English translation, I think you could really reach out to the people like me who aren't the most comfortable with the original version but still want to play it. This one seems to be upping the difficulty to match it, or over, but in a way I'm already familiar with...... isn't there a fatigue bar in it or am I getting that confused with other one of the 1-5 era? anyway I will stop my mindless rambling (I honestly never know when to stop typing), seeing it's within a month I hope this isn't considered necro- posting.

I just joined so I figured I'd start introducing myself off here, besides this might be important to reference even ^^ I have a feeling some hardcore fans will hate me for saying this X-X Games I've beaten: FE 9 - played countless times, Favorite and first Fire Emblem Game personally. Edit: FE9 is the only game I had luck with I bought a gamecube copy before it was impossible and a second when I lent mine out and decided to have one as a good copy. the person I lent it to had their house broken into and had all of their games stolen shortly after I bought the second copy. I now treasure it. FE: 13 - I've played through awakening more times than I can count, I love casual mode because then I don't have to reset so dang much ALL of my characters must survive, Games I've played but I have yet to (and why I haven't beaten them yet): Fe 6- (2-3 play throughs) I never made it very far at all with this game. I've never had luck with roms- more so computers- and usually I can't ever keep a save filre before I can beat it. [i have read the manga twice so far and looked up spoilers.] FE 7- (at least 5 playthroughs) I managed to get to the chapter AFTER Elliwood's dad died before my computer abruptly did the same. I now have the Virtual Console but a lack of motivation to get through all those chapters again because how many times I have to restart this game. [i have looked up spoilers, I kind of spoiled the entirety of FE 6, FE 7 and parts of FE 8 before I even touched them X"D] FE 8 - I've gotten to the one chapter on Ephraim's story where they can use magic to control one of your characters and use them against you and been stuck ever since. I'm someone who can't allow any character to die so yeeeeaaaaaahhhhh. (I'm also terrible at these games as much as I love them X'D) [looked up basic spoilers, didn't want to spoil everything] FE: 12- I loved playing this game but I had the same emulating luck as the above. Seriously My computers last about a year because I use them constantly, not even due to me mistreating them, they're mostly just cheap ones meant to be built to die shortly after warranty, my current one is missing many bolts. Games I essentially rage quitted 8D: FE 10 - Played once so far, haven't beaten it yet, looked up ALL the spoilers. I have a general distate for the game, I enjoy the new laguz race, some of the story, what they added onto or explained about FE 9. Personally hate alot of the changes made, like the character designs Por Ike IS SO MUCH BETTER than RD Ike, still love him regardless though how the story is cut up into those pieces to me it Just doesn't flow or feel right, Just the general feel of the game is different and I don't like it. I go anywhere from thinking it's alright to disregarding it like it's a bad movie sequel ^^; I go from really wanting to beat it (edit: as in wanting to playthrough and complete it) to hissing at it. I love some of the characters introduced and plot points and what not but I have a terrible time trying playing it....it just oh GOD NO. ( and soooo many people love it T^T) Edit: There is SOOOO much of it I want to expierence first hand, I've gotten really close to beating it, one of the last chapters actually forget which one but anywhere from 2-4 from the last one if I remember correctly, but it BOTHERS ME SO MUCH AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. FE 11- My game glitches, like alot. Don't understand why. So I read lot's of spoilers for this one too (honestly, I have terrible luck with FE games I'm not lying about any of this) I hope to beat the ones I haven't yet soon. I love them so much it's just.....emulators and the struggles of playing them with my roommate (who lives with me 24/7 and wants to watch me play them) around a GBA/3DS screen. Games I really want to play soon: FE 4- THAT PLOT <3 BUT THOSE GRAPHICS ( Edit 2:I don't like the 90's style anime-like graphics [face sprites].... I never liked that art-style, everything seems too....."feminine" other wise graphic never bother me ) AND THAT DIFFICULTY AND ROM.
