I'll just start by saying this: Yeah, it's pretty late for me to write down a form like this considering we have shifted on to the next focus characters, but I thought it was better late to put this down than never. At least I wrote it on Easter! Anyways, I'll move on to the actual topic. I am not sure how many other people have, but I have always been interested in thinking about lore for things that aren't completely explained or that could have been written better. For some odd reason, the Spring Festival grabbed my attention. I know it was mostly made for Spring character fan service, but I saw it as a new piece of lore added to Awakening and even Fates, even if Heroes is not considered canon in the other games (from what I have seen anyways), which is why most of this is pretty much hypothetical. Just in case you want a better explanation about what we'll be discussing here, I'll give you a brief explanation! We're going to be thinking about potential lore for the Spring Festival from how it was shown in Heroes. Most likely most of the things that will be added in the discussion will be adding lore to it since we don't have too much lore for it from what Heroes has given us, but some things we talk about may be changing to what was already written to make it better if it were to be canon. Also, feel free to talk about any lore related to our Spring Festival characters, (Lucina, Chrom, Xander, and Camilla) too. By the way, I don't know exactly where this topic will be leading exactly, but I guess I may as well say it now that there may potentially be spoilers, specifically for Awakening and Fates (presuming we do have spoilers). I guess I'll start with a few of the things that I have been thinking about! Addition: The reason as to why royalty from Nohr came to celebrate the Spring Festival in Ylisse is because they heard of it from one of the Annas, who advertised it as being a good way to represent their country to otherworldly neighbors, especially by showing deep appreciation and involvement into the festivities. It most likely would be the reason as to why Xander was willing to go along with his siblings putting him in that different costume and acting... like a colorful character. Since the Spring Festival seems to be obviously based off of our Easter, (it may even have been called Easter at one point in Heroes, but I don't remember for sure) I think that the roots of the Spring Festival may be similar to Easter's roots. I think it would be a holiday originally set as a day to celebrate something related to Naga. Perhaps it has something to do with Tiki becoming the Voice of the Divine Dragon. Change: I don't think Ylisse would have a festival be set as an excuse to fight each other, so they, in particular, would not celebrate Spring by fighting; however, I know a certain northern neighbor of Ylisse who would celebrate a holiday like that: Regna Ferox. Because of this, I would have set the fighting tradition to be in Regna Ferox instead of in Ylisse. Of course, I doubt that would make people like Chrom not want to participate, but that is just my opinion. Those are just a few things I was thinking about, but I am more interested in what you guys think about improving the lore of the Spring Festival! I hope that this forum ends up running smoothly with great, yet polite, discussion. ^^

Um, hello Serenes Forest! I need some help. A close friend of mine's birthday is coming up soon... Like, very soon, and I wanted to try and get him a nice image for his OC. I can't really afford to commission anyone for a special order, so I found the images that would be best used for this. I have the pictures that I need in order to create it, but the problem is is that I can't really do portraits for Fates well at all. I've tried, but I continued to mess up, so I was hoping I could be assisted. I attached two images to this forum. Portrait #1 has the head that would best represent his OC, and Portrait #2 (the dread fighter) is the body needed. I need someone to take the head of Portrait #1 and replace the head on Portrait #2 with it. If anyone could please assist me with this I will be grateful. If you really want, I could also credit you to him, but no matter what I'm not telling him that I created this. Speaking of crediting, if anyone is curious, this is where Portrait #2 is from. Thank you to anyone who decides to help me out. EDIT: For anyone wondering if I have permission to use the other portrait, I do!

I just want to comment that all of the information said was very helpful! I never had the issue arise myself, but it is very great to know for the future!

I want the challenge of repeating a map every time I want an item from it to be honest. I think it'd feel like cheating to basically get an infinite amount after beating it only once. I also personally enjoy the conversations more than the reward, but I will gladly take a reward from reading something I want to read. x3

I love all of Lucina's quotes so much, but I have to say "Hope will never die!" is the best one of them all!

I have a few headcanons that I don't are that common (like Corrin's birth name is Kamui, but was renamed to Corrin when he went to Nohr) so I will just put them here. [spoiler=Here they are.] 1. Saizo and Kagero used to be married, not just in a relationship, but then got divorced after realizing they needed to focus their attention on protecting Ryoma and that the chemistry they once had had faded away. 2. Jakob and Flora marry, but Dwyer isn't born until after the events of Fates. 3. Kaze sacrifices himself to save Corrin if they achieve Support A, but tries to save himself with Corrin by blowing up the crystal if they have Support C, B, or S together due to being more desperate to stay alive since he is either A. Not Corrin's retainer (or at least declared) or B. Not married to Corrin. If he is only Corrin's retainer, he sacrifices himself without a thought to both say 'thank you' for Corrin rescuing him and 'sorry' for letting Corrin be captured. 4. Midori is never born during the events of Birthright. 5. Mozu never joins Corrin's Army in the events of Conquest due to her village being in Hoshido and Corrin being in Nohr when her village is attacked, and she ends up dying with her mother since the Hoshido army wasn't close enough to save the village. 6. Inigo marries Cynthia, but she dies before the events of 'Hidden Truths', which makes Inigo more encouraged to help Anankos. He marries in the events of Fates due to wanting to keep Cynthia's promise she asked of him before she died to find someone else that loves him just as much as she does. Owain and Severa do not marry until Fates, however.

Personally I hate Corrin married with to of the Hoshido or Nohr siblings, Fuga, or Gunter. I haven't seen enough of the other supports to say I fully hate any of them, though.
