Premium Edition & Treasure Box Edition Announced
Monte_Carlo replied to Hardin's topic in Fire Emblem Warriors
Fates in the US and Japan sold out fast enough to cause huge issues on both sides of the Pacific. Echoes Limited Edition in Japan caused Nintendo's site to crash, and led to them reevaluating their policies for preorders. I'm guessing either Warriors hasn't caused the same stir, or Nintendo has learned its lesson from previous special editions. -
Premium Edition & Treasure Box Edition Announced
Monte_Carlo replied to Hardin's topic in Fire Emblem Warriors
I'm still amazed that the Treasure Box edition is still up for preorder on Amazon.jp. Usually this stuff sells out within seconds. Hopefully that talking dragon stone will be worth the price. -
Special edition?
Monte_Carlo replied to SSJDennis's topic in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
I takes my US based card just fine, and as of today, it had pre-charged my credit card. -
Still nothing for me. Almost 9 pm in Japan, and the game is not yet available. Annoying to say in the least.

On Friday. Get into your car, and drive to another state. Eat something in that state, and go back knowing you've accomplished what your heart has desired. When I felt the need to watch some anime, I did. If I felt stressed, and needed to go on a drive, I would. Sometimes you just need a change of scenery to decompress.

Cipher Sai 2017 - Event & Merch Info Revealed!
Monte_Carlo replied to Kirie's topic in Fire Emblem TCG
Gonna try to make this event. Hopefully I can blunder through with my minimal Japanese. Those binders look super nice, and wouldn't mind getting my hands on the artbooks.- 4 replies

Sorry for the less than spectacular image quality. But here's a general breakdown of the boxes. <character set <pixel set -
FE Cipher at Comiket91: Dec 5 - Full Assortment & Pricing
Monte_Carlo replied to Kirie's topic in Fire Emblem TCG
They still had CD's in stock on day 3 from what I recall, but stocks of everything but books was running low. (Character set and Pixel sets ran outta stock in front of my eyes on day 3) Managed to get everything I desired on day one, but the wait killed me. I'd say the price isn't too catastrophic if it's only going for 40 dollars. That's just under double markup, which could be far far worse. Happily picked up the Tiki mat on a whim. This stuff is costing me dearly. -
It's not so much the issue as it's usually the material used. In a couple of cases the game arrived in a bubble envelope... which was not exactly going to stop anything inside from getting crushed. Amazingly Fates SE emerged unscathed despite Gamestop's budget packaging solution. I will without a doubt be pre-ordering this in store when I can. At 80 dollars, not going to chance another round of Bravely Default Roulette.

I give it to Robin each time. Combined with +1 movement of thief class, and I have a fairly long ranged bride to work with. Reclassing to a flier class is always fun as well.

Hi! I need help please! Should I restart my game?!
Monte_Carlo replied to luci491's topic in Fire Emblem: Awakening
I'd say it's worth starting fresh in this case. While the characters you missed aren't vital to the story, they add quite a lot of meat to the game. -
Special Edition, so all 3 at the same time. Managed to snag it the day preorders went up.

WTF Gamestop is cleaned out of all physical games. Period!
Monte_Carlo replied to PuffPuff's topic in Fire Emblem Fates
I wouldn't count on a restock of the special edition. They would have been better off calling it a limited edition or something. Right now, Nintendo is claiming over 300k units shipped of both Birthright and Conquest. -
Upgrade it all. It likely won't be too cheap, but you can get a fairly solid build for around 500-700 dollars minus OS. You can try your hand at used parts, but that's always an iffy venture. At this point you'd be looking at: -Motherboard: No point in going total budget bin here. A fairly nice Skylake compatible board shouldn't be too bad. -RAM: 4 is the low point in this world, aim for 8 gigs or higher. Likely the cheapest part of the build. Also not aware of RAM "deteriorating" over time. -CPU: Go Intel. AMD has nothing really competitive as of right now. An i3 or Pentium should suite you well in this case. -PSU: A decent one will last you many many years. Seasonic is pricey, but with that 7 year warranty? Hard to beat. -Graphics card: The 9400 GT is ancient and won't take you far these days. I'd look to upgrading to a decent low end GPU from AMD or Nvidia. Nvidia's GTX 950 is apparently a good entry point into the market. AMD's R9 380 is a heavy hitter in the price category as well. As for the case...? Should still be good. All you really need is an intake fan, and exhaust fan. By and large, expect to get what you pay for. The more you spend (to a point) the more you'll get. Decide on a budget, and try to work with in it. There will be compromises, and only you can decide what can be traded off for what and where.
