  1. That's one way to interpret what I said. But it's not the right one. I (think) we used your fan patch for these: http://i.imgur.com/psAdDwa.jpg http://i.imgur.com/TXaabFN.jpg http://i.imgur.com/UKXDkTO.png http://i.imgur.com/1h2Oc9o.jpg "Think" because these are not taken from a single source and maybe some others made their own patches, who knows... Although, I don't know how exactly I am being entitled in taking readily free text for making comparisons or that I'm taking it for "granted". It's "granted" until you guys take off the patch, after all, it's free, right there, in the OP. You're telling me all these people that made these images (I didn't make any of those), should apologize and take them down? Are you saying we should have asked for your permission first even though you're letting us download the patch for free? (thus, it's implied we can do as we please with it, especially after your team admin said that he doesn't care if someone else puts their name on it, so that means he wouldn't care for something "smaller" in comparison to that like using it for comparisons) Are you also telling me that making publicity for this patch is bad for you? Secondly, you're trying to demonize me again (even though you started with a misinterpretation of my post a second time already) for whatever reason without actually explaining your reasoning in the slightest.
  2. There's nothing extreme about wanting accuracy in your localization. I'm also not entirely sure what you mean by "using the team's work to attack the localization", or are you saying that your translation was off-limits when making comparisons...? You didn't need to align in any way with "my group" to be fair, so I don't see why you're talking as if that matters in this discussion.
  3. That's your assumption and supposedly the team's, not the truth. I've seen the typos and mistakes and I would have still played their fan translation regardless, that's because I have no issue understanding broken English. That does not go for every fan, but every other fan would have waited whatever time was necessary for the team to finish their translation. E.g. .Hack is still being translated and the translation started in 2011, no significant group made a fuss. Seriously, this can't be verified at all, that's how THEY FELT, not WHAT HAPPENED. Don't see the issue with my comment. I didn't break any rules by saying that. Or are you saying I can't criticize the work of the translators? Or their reasons for dropping their work? How backwards...
  4. You can be as pissed off as you want, I asked legitimate questions. You weren't fighting me anyway, I was asking some questions. Anyway, that's good.
  5. Now that the gloves are off and all. I just want to ask you. Why does it matter how popular you guys are or not? This has yet to get an answer. So what if the project got popular? Nothing should have changed for your work, not in terms of quality, not in terms of time allocated to you (basically, you could have released this 5 years later for all I cared, I would have accepted it anyway, you have every right), not in terms of anything. This is the only thing none of you could answer properly. How did popularity keep you back? Shouldn't it be the contrary? Shouldn't you be happy that you have supportive fans and people that love your work? The only reason there was backlash now is because you guys acted condescendingly when it wasn't necessary. I "got into a fight" with your translator because he misinterpreted my post (most likely) and started lecturing me for no reason. If it has to do with the Reddit post, I told your editor (and this goes for all of you), to stop insulting himself for whatever work he did. The fans think it's better, I don't see why exactly it's a problem that the fan translation has been "put on a pedestal".
  6. So just for clarity. I understand that we'll be able to get the files and that if anyone is willing, they'll continue this project. Are you giving this project specifically to another team that will continue this project though? Because I'm sure I've read that somewhere.
  7. Yes, I didn't start pestering anyone until I was misinterpreted and had someone be hostile towards me for no reason. It's one thing having every right to start, stop, kill, whatever a project you're doing for free, it's another to act as if anyone asked for the impossible, being unnecessarily aggressive in the mean time. I would have been fine with any type of answer if it wasn't so condescending.
  8. So you won't be giving what you've finished to the other team or the public for them to continue the project either?
  9. I don't like when people talk about me as if I'm not here. First of, my initial question was respectful enough, the comment with "People should believe in "Finish what you started" more" had to do with supposedly the team changing game (e.g. to Ace Attorney), obviously, I am fine with people having their lives and all, but I don't think you understand how "We'll finish this in X time." then saying "Ah, we changed game lol, this is no longer a supported project" sounds like when the whole thing is almost done, it surely doesn't sound like people are not having time here. Also, who are you? Anyway, the two guys from the team that answered, by transparency, I believe what the other dude meant is that you update us on what you're currently doing rather than show us the actual progress. "Total transparency" in that regard will have people stop "badgering" you because they don't even need to ask you anything anymore. This is sad though. The fanbase does care and quite a lot I would say. There are a lot of people waiting for the translation since the whole controversy with the localization being what it is. If you don't, well then...
  10. Must be hard to think of one. But whatever, I'll stop "badgering" you.
  11. I know, that's the point. Does it now? Why? Because you're not able to answer a simple question, right? So you'll call it a "chop chop" attitude instead, for whatever reason. I know how long it takes for someone Japanese with mild knowledge of English to translate a whole C to S support in their spare time, but I honestly have no idea how long it would take 5-10 people that are done with the main story line. You know, you could have avoided the snark and passive aggression you so much hate by answering me politely. As for the patch, video related:
  12. You know, with all this time you wasted replying to me, you could have gave me a date for when you think the supports are done :^)
  13. You should calm down though. I wasn't even trying to be a dick, I'm sure I didn't make any promises unlike some here... Anyway, as long as the project continues, I don't think I care when it finishes, then again, it would be nice to know about some progress instead of complete silence or this...
  14. Yeah, but, I think people should start believing in "Finish what you started." more.
