  1. What are all of the items you can get from parley? I got a speedwing so I'm assuming it's like the lottery shop?
  2. I had it work a few times by having wireless on and connecting to pokemon x;y;oras mystery gift and doing a system update before going into an FE game title. Unless the streetpass light flashes blue/orange and the in-game crystal ball has an exclamation mark, I don't bother updating to receive feedback.
  3. It probably isn't a good idea to tackle this too early in the game... Once you have enough resources and good enough people, I'd recommend getting some/most with replicate to sit on the spawning castles. Flyers/high movement units can reach and block the two furthest ones. Also, if you can aggravate the ninjas and KO them in one bout (preferably with dual strike), lunge and poison/savage blow won't activate. The lancers can also occasionally rain on your parade since (on lunatic) they have enough skill for a small critical chance even for some luck capped units. It's not a difficult map once you've checked the ninja spawns.
  4. I thought it was brilliant, actually. Clever and amusing. Well done. So, you... want me to kill you? lol
  5. I really thought the localization of Fates was quite lackluster in some areas. Thanks to this, my imagination went into overdrive developing ways to improve some of the script. Of course, my 'better' is pretty subjective, too. Nevertheless, I really liked some of the characters introduced in the Fates trio and sought to further develop them in fan fiction, so they live up to how I want to see them. I also have fun writing skits. Anyway, the following are support conversations I've reworked (because I wanted to). Updates/improvements will be added at my leisure :) Disclaimer: Sorry if anything I post conflicts with stuff by other people. I haven't even finished reading all the supports yet. My tastes will change and this isn't AAA writing or anything >_> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kamui and Kagero ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4/25/2016 Saizo and Sakura ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5/2/2016 Kamui and Hana
  6. Caeldori, definitely my favorite. She has one of the few S supports that actually shows a love interest in (M) Avatar; e.g. she confesses to you. Plus, Cordelia was a favorite. Caeldori also has the idiosyncrasy of "being most likely to fall head-over-heels in love." So, she's cool in my book any day. As far as least favorite... I don't think I have one. I'm more resentful of the fact that I have to pair a good first generation parent with a terrible/mediocre one to obtain these characters. It was a novel idea for Awakening (Cordelia and Awakening's "twist" actually conjured images of Steins;Gate for me), but this time around these characters should have just been uniquely paralogue/side chapter individuals.
  7. Haha, I couldn't help taking a jab at the archetype. Let me clarify a bit. The original dialogue really disturbed me because Kamui/Corrin came off as really condescending and coercive. Nyx was highly susceptible to suggestion. Both seemed completely out of character to me, and one could easily imagine this entire dialogue as an aggressive pick-up/abduction line. Maybe they were also trying a parody of how easily a character can be recruited. Whatever the case, I felt it was poorly executed and absolutely wrong on so many levels... Anyway, thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it. Thank you, thank you! :) Yeah, I agree about Azura. It was also not very clear to me why Nyx was on this map to begin with, so I tried to tie things together.
  8. Chapter 25: Traitor Revealed, Birthright, Lunatic Am I really the only one who has the game crash on this map? What I did: After the last step, the game freezes; then crashes. I am using a physical copy, but it's not a hardware issue; I've reproduced this crash 3 times with the same method (my game and 3ds are perfectly stable otherwise). So, can/has anyone else confirm/ed this has also happened to them? Can anyone else reproduce this, too?
  9. I was...disturbed by the conversation your main character has when recruiting Nyx. There was a lot of subtle innuendo, and I just didn't really like it. So, I thought it was fair game for a rewrite. (Also sorry if this wasn't posted in the right place.) My version: Original:
  10. I made it to Conquest Lunatic Endgame, but I don't think it's possible to go any further with the restrictions I set and the team I have... well, unless I wait for daily events >_>/ Stupid map design, stupid RNG, stupid undead Takumi.
  11. -Takumi. (I don't like his personality. I don't like his RNG.) -Male Avatar hair choices and story dialogue/personality. -Male Avatar supports and some others (Some of this stuff doesn't even come remotely close to romantic interest, and yet in the final support it's like: Person 1:"Let's get hitched. I like you." Person 2: "Yeah. OK. I like you too." -Having children tied to males and virtually allowing almost anyone to marry anyone else. (I mean come on, HAYATO?, really he's like a middle schooler, and you're talking marriage?!) It should've been more evenly distributed. -Setsuna's portrait. -Too much emphasis on My Castle; and limited customization options. (I get one grove of trees. 1. Uno. For the state of Texas. Also for some reason, there are many beautiful set-piece locations you visit throughout the story, and yet the only place you can shop is in your la-a land. Character development is also all in My Castle; I mean the story doesn't make you care one way or the other for anyone...) -Your room is a shoddy imitation of an actual room. (Have you ever looked around beyond the fixed camera area? It's like an abandoned warehouse.) -I can mute voices everywhere except for the video scenes. -Dragon form is pretty bad. (On the map it's introduced, you would think they'd let you loose like an angry deity. No. On the same map it's introduced, dragon-killers are also introduced. Also the Avatar is weak to dragon-killing weapons regardless of whether in dragon-form or not.) -The Hero class (one of my favorite classes in FE7) still isn't too great. -Lancers get seal defense AND seal speed. -The bathhouse doesn't do anything...? -No dual audio... Sorry if this came off more as ranting than anything... I still like FE. There's just A LOT they could've done better with for Fates.
  12. My best memory took place on the map where you have to fight reflections of your own units. I was facing off against an enemy Morgan who proceeded to fire off a Lethality shot directly at my character unit. I thought I was done for until Severa suddenly jumped in and blocked it. So, it should come as no surprise that she became my favorite daughter afterward. I spoiled her rotten in all subsequent playthroughs :P
  13. Thank you. I'm playing on a physical copy of Birthright. However; this is my second time playing through (albeit on lunatic difficulty) and I had no such problem clearing the game the first time. Could you elaborate on the conditions leading up to the game crashing? It doesn't seem all too common so every bit helps. I also agree about the rng in Fates; it can be pretty brutal. I actually chose Resistance to be my best stat and and magic as my worst, and yet I still can't tell which stat is more dismal...
  14. So, yesterday, I was going through Birthright's Chapter 25: Traitor Revealed on Lunatic. I had just battled for over an hour with effective use of three distinct teams: one specializing in tanking physical hits, another specializing in tanking magical hits, and the final one lending support via healing/damage reduction skills/picking off stragglers. It was marvelous to see everything working so smoothly, but then something terrible happened. Here goes: After clearing all enemy reinforcements with said tactics, I began moving up towards the boss, cautiously. I was particularly careful to stay out of the staff areas of the strategists with the entrap staves. To that end, I counted spaces to allow Hinoka a dance boost to the Dragon Vein to remove enemy equipment in the middle room; right afterward, I used rescue to get her back to safety, out of range of the last entrap strategists. I gathered everyone toward the left side of the middle room and gradually took out the sage on the turret. Then I decided to try out the silence staff with Sakura to neutralize entrap while I removed a berserker on the steps. The staff worked with 92% hit, and I danced her out of range of the berserker. I then set my character unit up to bait: paired up with Great Knight Silas, holding dragonstone+, defense rally, and speed rally. I ended the turn... And the game crashed on me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update 3/10/16: I may have actually stumbled upon a nasty bug in game. It happened again under very similar conditions. As for what exactly causes this crash, I can't say for sure at this point; but it's not a random one-off thing. Well, I wanted a bit of a challenge on this lunatic run, but I guess I'll grind some levels now so I can muscle through and find the true cause of the game crashing. If anyone has any more information/experience; please share what you know, so that others can avoid this problem in the future. Update 4/1/16: I reproduced the bug a third time. 1) After clearing all of the reinforcements (around 20 turns or so), activate the Dragon Vein in the center to clear enemy equipment. 2) Rescue the unit used for the DV. 3) Neutralize the turret sage but no one else affected by the DV. 4) Proceed to neutralize the Strategist with 2 Entrap staves. 5) Rescue the unit who neutralized the Strategist. On the next turn, the game freezes. It probably has to do with aggravating the mobs around Iago. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Does anyone else have Fates' horror stories of game breaking bugs/mechanics or any other kind of circumstance, e.g. kami(神)->batsu(罰), that cost them the win... right at the end?
