  1. @bottlegnomes I don't see being a gen 2 weapon as rendering a future refinement entirely out of the question, since you could just remove the stat boost from the refined version. @Azure the Scale Tipper I can see Roderick getting a refinement. Soleil too, though personally I feel she's good enough without one (especially now that she can run Null Counter-Disrupt to get around the primary problem of Firesweep Sword+ preventing her from counterattacking, something Roderick can't do). As for the current refineset: And since you made me think of how this could go: Takumi - Empty Vessel Skadi [Refine] | Effective vs. Flying. At the start of Turn 3, deals 10 damage to foes within 3 columns centered on unit, and converts bonuses on those foes into penalties through their next actions. Skill-Refine: Grants DEF/RES +4 to unit and inflicts Special Charge -1 on foe during combat initiated by foe. And because I just thought of it: Nowi - Eternal Youth Eternal Breath | MT 16 | Unit can counterattack regardless of foe's distance. Skill-Refine: At start of Odd numbered turns, grants ATK/SPD/DEF/RES +4 to unit and adjacent allies for 1 turn.
  2. Put in my third vote for Ranulf today. Continuing to hope that he'll place decently once this is over so he can maybe get into Heroes this year. Probably gonna give Micaiah a vote tomorrow, so she can hopefully get 1st/2nd on the women's side.
  3. @Azure the Scale Tipper Wary Fighter wouldn't be all that great on Hinata either, since he wouldn't be able to use Quick Riposte to do his own follow-up attacks. Maybe Hinata would do better with a Great Flame-type follow-up-denial effect?
  4. @Azure the Scale Tipper Hinata: What purpose does Null Follow-Up serve on a unit as slow as Hinata? I like the Fierce Stance Weapon though. Hana: I like it. The Wo Dao effect may be a bit overkill when combined with Hana’s already-good ATK stat and Wrath, but that’s not something I have a problem with. The Refine looks like it was made to work with Subaki and Sakura specifically, and I like it (especially now that they can both be Flying units and ferry her around to whoever they need killed with Guidance). Laslow: ATK/DEF Bond and DEF Feint on the weapon is a nice combination. I like this weapon. Selena: Dauntless Lance default weapon is a great thing generally, and it’s still good on Selena, and Kestrel Stance 2 is also pretty nice when it’s on the weapon and not the A Slot. This would be a good weapon. Seigbert: As someone who did a Dark Greatsword refine recently, I quite like your take on it. Not-quite-Sturdy Impact is a great way to give Seigbert a significant buff to his survivability and make him better at taking on units that rely on stuff like Quick Riposte or Vengeful Fighter to double (plus you could get up to Sturdy Impact’s +10 DEF on initiation if you gave him Sturdy Blow 2, as well as +8 ATK and +4 SPD). I don’t see Garon on there, though to be honest I don’t think he needs a refine since Breath of Blight is pretty good on its own (nullifying Dragon-Effectiveness is great in and of itself, and the AOE thing is situational to be sure but free out-of-combat damage and healing isn’t a bad thing). Also, here's a refine for Subaki: Subaki - Perfect Expert Subaki's Pike | MT 16 | When HP = 100% at start of combat, grants ATK/SPD/DEF/RES +4 during combat, but if unit attacked, inflicts 1 damage after combat. Skill-Refine: When HP = 100% at start of combat, grants Special Charge +1 during combat, then inflicts 5 damage after combat.
  5. Damnit, how did I miss that? I can't go back and edit that post, so with that in mind, my new comments on Ilwoon are as follows: That's pretty good for Tobin's statline. Infantry Pulse is nice since he's got a lot of HP, and Dauntless Lance-type base weapon is something that would probably improve most units who don't have a Prf weapon of their own, and it definitely helps Tobin (plus it's not a big change from the Armorslayer he starts with). Good weapon. Glad you like the unlikely refines! Also, here are refines for a few free units who haven't gotten Prfs yet: Clive - Idealistic Knight Clive's Lance | MT 16 | Effective vs. Armored. Skill-Refine: If unit's Special activates based on foe's attack, grants Cooldown Count -2 at start of Turn 1. During combat, if unit's Special activates based on foe's attack, reduces damage taken by 5. Narcian - Wyvern General Rune Axe | MT 16 | When Special activates, recover HP equal to 30% of damage dealt. Skill-Refine: Deals +10 damage when Special activates. Ursula - Blue Crow Crow's Bolt | MT 14 | At start of turn, inflicts SPD -7 on the foe with the highest SPD through their next action. Skill-Refine: When initiating combat, if unit's SPD - foe's SPD > 3, foe cannot counterattack.

L'Arachel - Princess of Light Ivaldi [Refine] | When foe's HP = 100% at start of combat, grants ATK/SPD +3 during combat. Skill-Refine: When foe's HP = 100% at start of combat, grants Special Charge +1 per attack during combat. Joshua - Tempest King Audhulma [Refine] | Accelerates Special Trigger (cooldown count -1). Skill-Refine: When HP < 80% at start of combat, grants ATK/RES +7 during combat. Thoughts on these refines that probably won't happen any time soon?

  9. Shiharam's name is spelled Shiharam. I'm kind of surprised they forgot Lekain, if only because they remembered the other Begnion senators. You could maybe add Elbert from Blazing Blade, if only because he isn't there. And maybe Brandon Reed from the same game, for the same reason.

Regarding Italics: This seems like a little bit much to ask, considering Chrom & Robin will likely get a boost from SSB Ultimate that'll put at least one of them in the Top 20, and also Kaden, Keaton, Selkie, Velouria, Panne and Yarne might get up there too if people want to show interest in non-Laguz Beasts being in Heroes, but admittedly I'm not sure how the introduction of Beast units will affect the non-Laguz Beasts not currently in Heroes (or the Laguz Beasts not currently in Heroes). Entirely agreed on Camilla though, I think "Enough Alts To Form A Tier 19+ Aether Raids Defense Team Consisting Solely Of Myself With No Unit Used More Than Once" is enough. Good to see I'm not the only person voting Ranulf! Good luck with Medeus, I'm not voting for him (6 votes will be thrown to the catboy, and the last is being given to Micaiah) but I share your interest in seeing how IntSys will implement him if/when he gets in. @Ice Dragon And with the Wishblade, referencing the Black Knight's ability to use lances in Radiant Dawn as well as to avoid having another Alondite BK.

CYL Marth will be great no matter what he is and is not wearing, though. Though I kinda hope he doesn't bring another Falchion. ...Which one is that? Also, took several tries, but vote 1 has gone to Ranulf. Not a chance he'll win, but here's hoping he places decently enough to get in on Farfetched 3.0.
  12. Well, this was unexpected. I kinda expected a bit more fanfare than just an announcement. Like a Feh Channel or something (the other CYLs were announced on those, weren't they?). Getting an error message right now on that site, but I'll try again later. I don't really care who wins this time (Roy won the first one, Marth's damn near guaranteed to win this time now that he isn't being screwed by votesplitting, and as much as I want him to there's no real hope for Eliwood to win this one), so I'mma vote for people I want to see get into the game. As such, I will be voting for Ranulf so he can get in in the nearer future (I tried this with Myrrh last time, but she got in in the middle of voting so I switched to Veronica for lols), and possibly also Micaiah 'cause it'd be neat if she won even though I'm fairly certain her after being revealed as this month's Mythic Hero (calling it now). ...Is that a Futurama reference? I wouldn't be so sure of this. After what happened with the Muspellers and Ylgr we're guaranteed to get them at the end of Book III, so the only reason I can see for voting for them here is to get an alt version of them to have them sooner and maybe get them some additional characterization (hey, it could happen). @KongDude Is it bad that seeing this makes me spite-desire a CYL3 Marth that wears only pants?

  14. Is it bad that my first thought was "The Aki sisters got into FEH?" As for speculation... We got a Bath Bucket from the most recent Tap Battle, and AFAIK that doesn't tie into the New Year theme from the most recent Seasonal banner, so I get the feeling that this might be a hot springs-themed banner. Not sure who we could get in that event, but I get the feeling they'll be Fates/Awakening characters... although, since we're getting two Seasonals in a row, maybe they'll do an all-girls hot springs banner and an all-guys hot springs banner (saying this partially because there being two banners increases the likelihood of Seasonal Ike being on the latter, compared to if it's just one Seasonal banner with 3-4 characters, at least two of whom will most likely be ladies and thus not Ike). Yeah, that seems about right. Hot water would probably make an effective weapon. It's gonna be a beastkiller calling it now

Yeah, Valter does kinda end up as faster, weaker flying Lance Ares who can more easily utilize Brazens and Desperation since he'll put himself below their threshold even if nobody ever hits him. It's probably a good niche (he can probably spam AOEs competently, or just have first-strike Luna with an immediate follow-up attack thanks to Desperation, hell he could even run Bonfire since his would be 1 point stronger than Ares's), but I don't think it's quite OP. Gerome... yeah, I see your point. Can't edit that post, so is this better: Gerome - Masked Rider Gerome's Axe | MT 16 | Effective vs. Cavalry. Accelerates Special Trigger (cooldown count -1). Skill-Refine: At start of turn, turns bonuses into penalties on foes in cardinal directions with lower HP than unit through their next actions. Went with Panic Ploy instead because that's what his mom got, and Gerome has plenty of HP so he could make use of it too. Regarding Seigbert and Shiro, yeah that was the idea (really I just couldn't come up with anything else for Seigbert other than Null Follow-Up, and gave Shiro Null C-Disrupt to complement it). Shiro's weapon also negates Firesweep weapons, Sacae's Blessing and Wind/Watersweep in addition to Dazzling Staff though, so it's got some application for non-Staff combat. Plus Shiro can run Mystic Boost with Null Counter-Disrupt to help deal with Staves by disabling Wrathful Staff (and also get some HP recovery, which seems like something he'd want) if you want him to run Distant Counter (which IMO he could do decently if merged once banes disappear next month if he ran something like +SPD | Bright Naginata [Null C-Disrupt] | Bonfire | Distant Counter | Mystic Boost 3 | Even RES Wave 3 | Darting Stance 3). Though you're right that he definitely isn't gonna get as much out of his as Seigbert will Null Follow-Up on a Swift Sparrow sword when he already has 35 neutral base SPD and can run A Slot Swift Sparrow for a total of 41 SPD before any buffs he might get which should let him double reasonably often. @Corrobin Sagittae's effect also gives +5 ATK when its condition is met, though it also requires Kliff's ATK to be 5 less than his foe's. I feel like Nohrian Claymore's Refine effect should really just be Sagittae's base effect, it'd be a bit better (and it's not like Selena'll have much trouble meeting that requirement, since her ATK is rather low). Outside of that, much better. Yeah, Fury Master would probably end up with Fury 6, wouldn't he? DEF Smoke and anti-Cavalry would be quite good on Hinata too.

Shiro - Raw Talent Bright Naginata [Refine] | MT 16 | Grants ATK/DEF +4 when foe initiates combat. Skill-Refine: Foe's skills that would prevent unit's counterattack are nullified during combat.
  17. @Jotari On Heather: Her BST is a little too high, unless she's a trainee unit (and if Surtr can somehow be a trainee, then sure, why not?). Bane seemed a little odd on a unit with ATK as high as Heather's (seriously she's stronger than Sothe) at first, but she's Colorless so I can see her not being able to kill as much as she might like and thus getting decent use out of Bane (possibly on Armored foes whose DEF she'll struggle to overcome). Charming Lady seems a little OP to me, if only because it's Windsweep 3 and Watersweep 3 without the can't-follow-up penalty, but it's probably fine. I wouldn't mind seeing her get into Heroes like this. On Gotoh: I quite like this man... although, Starlight feels a tiny bit underwhelming, if only because it doesn't have a stat up (maybe DEF +3? SPD would be largely irrelevant because Armor, while DEF would potentially let him live when he fought DC melee enemies). Draconic Aura is something I'd replace with Iceberg, though I agree with your reasoning for it. Outside of that, I like. Projection is a neat way to buff Magic/Dragon teams (kinda wish it buffed Staves too, but I can live with it not doing so), and while I personally would replace Chill RES with Bold Fighter it's definitely a good thing to have on a mage. I dunno if I'd pull for this, but I would probably pull for this.   18. Saw my Orbs were above 20, remembered how bizarrely lucky I've gotten with the Laguz banner and decided to try my luck with 27 Orbs. Somehow pulled +SPD/-RES Celica (gonna merge my current one into her, then build her up 'cause I have a +SPD Celica and she's gonna go stupid fast) and 5-Star +ATK/-RES Silas (would merge my current +DEF/-HP one into him, but once the bane is gone next month I'm honestly not sure whether +ATK or +DEF will be better for him, either way I'm happy I didn't need feathers for him), as well as Barst Reposition Combat Manual, some feathers and a Libra, who is alright as well. Still have 7 Orbs. This banner has been so weirdly good to me.

I only chose five pseudo-crossover units (seemed like the absolute maximum for a seasonal banner, given Love Abounds had that many), so I figured it would be best to go with recognizable characters from the original cast (Mario shouldn't require introduction, Fox because Melee, Kirby is a bias pick plus I figured Ilyana-as-Kirby would work for her, and Samus is admittedly also a bias pick but an alt based on her would certainly stand out from everyone else in FEH) and then Pirahna Plant as an unexpected free unit (and one unit from each game with a rep in Smash, tried to avoid just using the characters already in Smash but I figured Marth-as-Mario would be an acceptable exception). But yeah, Flora & Felicia Ice Climbers would be amazing (I'm already picturing them having some sort of Prf B Skill that gives them the Brave effect when they initiate with HP > 80% or something, as well as Axes, Iceberg, ATK/RES Bond 3 and DEF Ploy 3). Game & Watch Knight would be weird-looking if they kept the limited animation but could be neat. Lucina!Chrom & Chrom!Lucina could work, though I'm not sure how they'd be differentiated from their regular selves, or from who they're cosplaying. But the main thing I want IntSys to bring over from Smash is an adaptation of Smash!Roy's Binding Blade for Legendary Roy, since they already covered canon!Binding Blade on regular Roy so adapting center-of-blade-does-big-damage as a buff when in combat at melee range would probably be a good effect for his Legendary version.
  20. @Azure the Scale Tipper Cain: Is the Refine effect something like Goad Cavalry but with DEF instead of ATK? Because that I could get behind, though it should be +3 instead of +4 since Camilla's Axe has a similar dual-unit-type buff and it only gives +3 ATK/SPD. Outside of that, ATK/SPD Solo would definitely make him better, so I like it. Draug: I have exactly one problem: The Brave effect needs to be -5 SPD instead of -2. Amiti does the -2 because it gives Brave effect and SPD +3, but since this is a regular Prf weapon it needs to get the -5. Outside of that, I love the Refine effect, DEF Victory would be pretty nice on Draug since he has so much DEF. Luke: Not sure about the Refine effect (I feel like if you're gonna give a Boost skill on a weapon, it should be at least two of them, maybe Fire Boost & Earth Boost 3 'cause his SPD probably isn't getting salvaged with +SPD & Hone Cavalry + something else and Earth Boost would boost Bonfire's damage), but outside of that I like it. Athena: I feel like keeping track of a unit's gender probably isn't gonna happen... but if it did, that would be a nice, if perhaps situational, sword. Wouldn't complain about Athena getting a stronger Wo Dao, at any rate. @Interdimensional Observer That could be interesting, especially if combined with Special Spiral... which is why I would expect it to be a B Skill. I'd like to see something like that happen though, if partially so it could be given to a Black Knight/Zelgius with a Brave Sword+, Death Blow 4, Bold Fighter and Black Luna that's been buffed with Hone ATK 4 so he could hit once with -80% DEF and then three more times with -40% DEF because I'd like to see if anything could survive that. So, here are a few Prfs I've thought of: Boey - Skillful Survivor Survival Flame | MT 14 | During combat, grants bonus ATK/SPD/DEF/RES equal to the number of adjacent allies x2. Skill-Refine: When unit's HP - foe's HP > 3, grants Special Charge +1 during combat. Amelia - Rose of the War Amelia's Axe | MT 16 | Accelerates Special Trigger (cooldown count -1). Skill-Refine: When unit's HP - foe's HP > 3, grants ATK/SPD +6 during combat. Peri - Playful Slayer Peri's Lance | MT 16 | Accelerates Special Trigger (cooldown count -1). Skill-Refine: After unit initiates combat and defeats foe, grants ATK/SPD +5 to unit and allies within 2 spaces for 1 turn and grants Special Cooldown -2 to unit.
  21. Nah, if we get a Smash crossover, then this is gonna be the game where Waluigi gets to fight Marth. I'd be happy with IntSys taking ideas from Smash for a certain future alt (Legendary Roy), and it'd be weird but neat to see a not-quite-crossover banner featuring stuff like Ilyana-in-a-Kirby-costume, Mario!Marth-as-a-Red-Tome-unit-with-Fire-Flower, Fox!Cordelia-flying-an-Arwing, Samus!Sophia-as-an-Armor-Mage and TT Reward Hinoka-riding-a-Pirahna-Plant. Not sure I wanna see non-FE characters getting into Heroes, but if it did happen I wouldn't complain.
  22. Glad you liked that! Especially considering that I couldn't come up with anything better to give Nasir. Although, every Dragon Laguz got only-when-transformed adaptive damage, Ena just got only-when-transformed Distant Counter on top of that. Well, you could give him something like "Grants DEF +3. When attacked by foe using weapon other than Magic, damage from first attack is reduced by 50%." Which isn't quite blocking everything but Starlight, but it gets the general point of use-Magic-to-win-easy across, and possibly opens up Gharnef to using Close Counter to take advantage of the fact that he only takes 1/2 damage from the first melee hit and run an anti-melee build if you can get his SPD high enough to reliably avoid getting doubled (and toss Null Follow-Up on him as well, to negate stuff like Bold Fighter and Spirit Breath). So, uh, here's a Bridal banner, because I pictured one part of it and felt obligated to finish the banner: Tana - Frelia's Bride | Red Bow | Infantry Lute - Prodigious Bride | Green Tome | Flying Corrin - Bride of Fate | Colorless Breath | Armored Robin - Bridal Reincarnation | Blue Breath | Cavalry
  23. Just used the last Ticket. It got me Reyson (+SPD/-RES, I'm so happy), and left me wondering what I did to get this lucky on this banner (the other four orbs contained feathers and a Combat Manual, but those aren't important). Well, no Tibarn for me this time, but that's okay. I can save up for the Legendary Tiki rerun now (that's this month, right?), and then February can be spent stockpiling for Binding Blade's banner.
  24. Got someone I forgot (either Combat Manual’d or sent home) on the Sword Valor Banner. Meanwhile I pulled Myrrh #3 on the third Ticket for Beast Banner, and while I kinda wish it had been Reyson just in case he stays 5-Star-locked I’m always happy to get merges for best girl (she’s +ATK/-HP, same as my current one).
