  1. It's saved on cartridge, but holy shit if your friend needs to buy that special edition. Seriously, it's worth it to lose some save progress.
  2. Sorry, but even with you here we've only got 3 people, and I don't know if the second guy is still even up for it. If you know a couple people who want to draft then we could still do it.
  3. Can I also join the skype group? My Skype name is QWUB_Qwest. Me and my friend recently got into Cipher, but we aren't all that good yet, so I'd appreciate it if someone could go over what's good in the meta right now. Fortunately, I'm getting into this game before there's too many cards to really keep track of everything.
  4. I found out about lackeyccg today and wanted to try out cipher with a friend before ordering any cards online, but whenever I go to the URL that get's linked everywhere, http://lackeyccg.com/, this is all I get. Is it just down for now? Is there anything I can do to play online, or a way to try it out before ordering a deck?
  5. It's gonna be on hard mode. I'm pretty sure that was in the main post... And I am allowing reclassing/DLC classes, mainly because I'm pretty sure most generics have terrible growths. Anyways, thanks for the advice. And I have one more question. If you promote a base class generic unit does its portrait change to reflect the new class?
  6. You just play the game like.normal until after chapter 10. That's when you actually have enough generics to really do the run. I might do some DLC chapters or something to make sure I can actually recruit the generics as well.
  7. I’m planning on doing a generic units only hard mode run, and I was wondering which characters are worth noting for capture. My rules are Corrin and Niles only, but they can’t support with each other and Corrin has to reclass and remove his Nohr Noble skills, making him essentially a generic as well, aside from being able to use the Yato for endgame if I end up using him as a sword class. So are there any special units I should be sure to capture? I know I’m gonna ban the two capturable bosses, because that would trivialize the point of it being a generic run, but some enemies come with really good skills. I know for sure I’m getting an archer with counter from chapter 11, and chapter 9 has some really good lancers aside from just the boss. What other enemies have skills worth noting?
  8. Skill overlap? You mean both parents giving Rhajat the same skills? That doesn't happen in this game. Since Rhajat's base class is diviner, Hayato gives her Oni Savage instead of Diviner as a secondary, and then Orochi, who's in the same boat would give her apothecary. I would say that Orochi even gives Rhajat better skills, because Sniper, what Mozu would pass down, isn't a bad class but none of it's skills are really all that note-worthy. In contrast Apothecary gives Rhajat option to spendthrift and replicate, both useful in PvP, and Profiteer which isn't as important in Birthright/Revelation but is worth having anyways. Aptitude is a really good skill, but if you're making a PvP team there's really no reason to get aptitude from an online team.
  9. In all my runs of Conquest and Birthright, every single child unit I've used (except my Velouria, who was god-like, and Siegbert who was only slightly worse than his father due to lack of the Siegfried,) have been below all my main units, at an equal level. Children units seem to be better when you get them in the late-game, so they can get more high level skills from their parents, but then their availability is terrible and they don't have any chance to build up weapon ranks or supports. I'm having a hard time using the children units, which is a shame because I really like a few of them. I use optimal pairings, it just never seems worth it to recruit the children for my team, aside from the late game when you just want to fill out recruitment slots.
  10. If we don't get any more players soon we may have to call the draft off.
  11. Changed. I accidentally counted Scarlet when drafting, who's free for obvious reasons, so with 5 players there's no one left over.
  12. Good points! Thanks! I've only run one draft before, and it was just a really casual Awakening draft on reddit. This one is way more complicated in terms of rule set. And yeah, 13 is too much. At the time I was thinking that if everyone drafted 12 characters, the max possible, it'd be easy as a normal playthrough you could basically just run a full team. Forgot about how you won't be able to rely on clutch characters like Camilla, Ryoma and Xander. I'm getting a lot of rule-set inspiration from a recent Conquest draft, but otherwise I'm trying to figure out some ways of my own to balance this all out. Hopefully it all works out!
  13. Ah thanks good points! 1. I would say no forging. It's not completely broken, but without a cap in place it just becomes unfair. So until we as a community figure out a way to balance forging it's banned for now. One idea I had was making it cost gold to forge, so if you forged a weapon you'd have to buy 3000 gold worth of items and then discard them all. It's a work in progress. 2. Paralogue turns don't count for under 20 turns. 3. Hard/Classic difficulty And I'll try to find a unit list. I have school though, so I'm not sure if I'll find it before I have to go.
  14. Drafting: 1. 5 Players 2. MU, Azura, your corresponding butler (Felicia or Jakob), and Scarlet are all free. 3. First-gen units are drafted, then any second-gen units created by your pairings can be used. 4. There are 40 remaining draftable characters. Each player will draft 8 units, with no one left over. 5. The non-corresponding character are drafted as one pick. So if you choose a male MU, then Felicia is free and you choose to draft Jakob, nobody with a female MU can draft Felicia. 6. Kana and Shigure are free, but Dwyer is not (even if you pick female MU.) Dwyer comes with whoever drafts the non-corresponding servant (so yes, even if Jakob is free you have to draft Felicia to get Dwyer.) Rules: 1. No extra maps (challenges, invasions, amiibo battles) and no spotpass, DLC, or path bonuses. 2. Non-drafted units can trade items with other units, but can't do any other action or attack/defense stance. 3. Hard/Classic difficulty 4. Visiting other castles, forging, cooking, and capturing units are banned. 5. Paralogues are free when it comes to turn count unless you take more than 20 turns on one. 6. All units can be used for the first 5 chapters. Not exactly optimal to use Kaze or something if you didn't draft him, but this way nobody will get stuck in basically the prologue. http://serenesforest.net/fire-emblem-fates/revelation/character-recruitment/ Here's a list of all units in Revelation. I'll also keep track of available characters when the draft starts. I'll add any other rules you guys want or that I forgot. This is most likely the most complicated draft in terms of ruleset I've ever run.
