He's a very good unit, a bro, has one of the best daughter. I enjoy having him in my main roster because I really like him. He seems like an earnest guy who'd reach out to help everyone and based on Corrin support with him, he risked his life just to show Corrin the outside world. But his support with Elise and Camilla greatly soured my opinion on him. I don't know if I'm reading too much into it and is butthurt because I paired him with my favorite character in Fates. I paired him with Hinoka, with whom I think Silas has a really good support with. So they got married, have a kid together, then in Silas' A support with Camilla he basically flat out saying 'I used to love you and I still do' despite having a family. This really bothers me. And I believe that he's speaking in present tense, if I'm not mistaken. When I had my playthrough with female Corrin in Conquest, I paired her with Silas too just because they seem fitting together and I love Sophie, not to mention that he appears really early on and I needed the boost. Now I regret it. At least in Camilla's case it was in the past. But her S Support with Ryoma makes no sense too. They were trying to find common ground and decided that hey we both love Corrin to the core, let's get married. I never liked any of Camilla's support other than hers with Niles even though I do like her. To be fair I don't hate any characters, I value them all the same, but still. Also, the whole Elise support (and a bit of Camilla's) left me wonder if Silas was just using Corrin to get to his/her sisters... His true intention of joining the knights may have been for the Nohr princesses, not for Corrin at all, and he was just bluffing it to get into his/her's favor. That would totally change my opinion on him 180 degree and he'll be the first character that I dislike. But I don't want that to happen so I'm trying to find a way to save Silas' character, which, to be frank, I failed to see. :( Or maybe Im just mad at him that everything he says or does seem wrong to me. I would like to hear your opinion if you wouldn't mind sharing! Also, if my above points come off as bashing Silas, I truly do apologize. I have no intention of doing so. In fact, I would want to save Silas' character and want to like him again ;-; Thank you for your inputs!

I personally don't enjoy it a bit. I'm more into the main game but HoF sort of defies any of its logics. It would've been better if it has some kind of connection with the main world, for example, like SniperGYS said that at least they allow us to carry on the children's profile, hairs... and such. I love how Future Past DLC of awakening gave us that, and also extra conversation with their "parallel world"s parents. I didn't mean to offend anyone who likes the DLC, its - as I said - only my own personal opinion. :)

I'm not paying a cent if they removed the conversations or did a lousy job with it. We've been playing the main game just fine without the DLC skills and classes, anyway. What's the point of purchasing something when you're still doing good without it? Make the game easier? I personally can't care less. Even if I have to pay for the reward I would rather get a powersaves device.

I'm not sure if Kana gets anything from Caeldori or A+ Shiro, given how Takumi gets nothing from Oboro because he already has her primary class as his sub-class. Can anyone confirm this? I would prefer a balanced build than having one or two super stat and ignore the other. Kaze's mod has negative in Str - especially Str - and Def, which is pretty bad. Also my FeMU is +Spd -Mag, Kana needs someone with good Str to make up for the lack of damage. Arthur is really good! But he gives one less point in both Str, Spd, Res and 3 Lck in exchange for 3 Skl and Mag, not to mention that he has lower growth than Azama so I was still wondering if he has something else that makes him a better father than Azama and the rest. Defense aside, but Isn't Kaze's Str very bad? Kana won't be dealing deal much damage :(

I'm trying a FeMU run and I think I'm going to marry her to Shigure. So, stat-wise, which grandfather makes a good Shigure and Shigure!Kana? I don't desperately need a good class for Shigure from his father since my Avatar has Lancer as secondary, which I think would benefit him pretty okay. Otherwise he can stay as a Falco rallybot. (Of course extra class would be nice, but it's not too important) Too bad M!Kana can't grab Swordmaster/Master Ninja anywhere, but none of the father gives Shigure Lancer as well, so I picked something that would benefit him. Kana will live with Nobles or DLC classes I suppose? My Avatar is +Spd -Mag. I'm considering Azama for Azura, he makes Shigure pretty balanced with (+3 Str) (-2 Mag) (+2 Skl) (+5 Spd) (+1 Lck) (-1 Def) (+1 Res) overall. Monk is useless tho. Arthur (+2 +1 +5 +4 -2 -1 0) is good too, and so is Keaton (+4 +1 +3 +1 0 0, but Keaton has very bad Skl and Spd, Wolfsseigner is so precious though). Jakob and Silas are fine (yay to Wyvern Shigure), but I don't like Azura's hair on Dwyer and Sophie. (Her hair color looks off on all children to me, only Selkie is tolerable.) Kaden, Kaze, Laslow hurts Kana's defense quite a lot. I plan to use Kana and Shigure in both PvE and PvP, so that -4 in Def is a bit scary. I know that in competitive play Def is not necessary but I only play PvP casually with friends. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I would like someone from whom Shigure and Kana benefit the most. Any suggestion would be much appreciated! Thank you very much!

Ah, thank you, both of you for your help. Yeah I suppose I'll skip this pack. How unfortunate because I was so thrilling when I heard that there will be DLCs like Future Past, but this is not even close. Sure, the plot itself may be something - esp. the last one, like nordopolica said - but it doesn't feel like I'm playing FE Fates anymore. I do like a little bit of challenges, like Apotheosis - I do enjoy it very much, but this isn't what I expected. It's as if IS took everything that's good in Awakening and turning them into something worse, with no connections or whatsoever. I was disappointed I wish I never bought Hidden Truths I honestly liked it way better - mean Future Past. It gives me a reason to build my post-game team. I suppose challenging maps like Apotheosis will appear in the future, but for now there's not much you can do after beating the story. Have early access to Takers might be an advantage, but then where's the fun of playing FE honestly when you have an unit with Strengthtaker, Speedtaker, Faires... in chapter 7? You can deploy the Avatar and press start to your heart's content.

Is it true that these dlcs only present pre-set units, and have no relevance to the actual game? I don't see the point, aside from the Takers and Pointblank. It feels totally out of place and even worse, screwed all of Fates' logic (not that everything is logical, i.e deeprealms, but still, this is getting worse) like having twin Kanas. I haven't played them myself but from what I've heard it sounds like Hidden Truths, where Severa, Inigo and Owain's appearance "altered" by magics which somehow manages to be inherited by their children. So plot aside, I believe Awakening handles this much better, at least it's still connected, even in an alternate world. HoF breaks the actual game so hard - be it the story, units...etc. Please bear in mind that this might be my personal opinion only. I was so eager for the game, for the story, dlcs and have been disappointed over and over, sorry if I came out as rude. For those who likes this pack please understand that I have no ill intention :)

Next to Saizo, who would be the next best, if I may ask? Actually I would definitely do Laslow x Peri if it wasn't for Falcon Knight rally bot. IIRC, Laslow gets Selena's secondary class - Sky Knight, promotes to Falcon Knight. And no please don't misunderstand me, I really do appreciate your opinion! I'm just pretty sure that Laslow gets Sky Knight. He gets it from Azura or Selena or Avatar Sky Knight talent.

Indeed Takumi gets nothing from Oboro. But... isn't Laslow get Falcon Knight from Selena? The class works really well for him as a Falco rally bot? Thank you for your suggestion but I really don't feel like marrying gen 2 for the awkward reason as stated >_<

Thank you so much for being patient with me! I think Kaze's -2 Str mod might hurt too, and Midori might not like my -Lck. Oh wow, I didn't know it works like that if class overlaps, it's actually pretty convenient! As for Kana, I quite like how feKana turned out in my previous playthroughs, although I never tried Kana 3rd gen so I can't say she was good, but enough for me that's all I ask. I made her a Paladin for post-game / pvp, and Swordmaster for Storymode, quite typical I guess :D Tbh I haven't experienced much, I'm not sure which would be good, but I guess Hoshido Noble/Paladin/Swordmaster/Hero/Master Ninja works well for physical, and Dark Falcon for magical Kana (the Levin sword/bolt naginata option is still there as well!). If the class that sync well with the mod isn't available, I still have Lodestar, Vanguard and Dread Fighter scrolls saved up. I'm sorry if that's a bit vague, but I mean I can manage to work around Kana anyway depends on his mod because I like Kanas very much! I'm more inclined to a physical one, more so to Paladin since it's a really well-rounded class that gives +1 movement when paired up, but if it's not available the other classes I listed are really nice too! I haven't tried magical Kana before, but if Forrest turns out well I don't mind giving it a try. My worry is that my Avatar offers only Spd and Skl and no Magic, if that ruins him it'd be pretty sad :( That said I'm looking to give my Avatar's stat and class away to help the other kid and spouse, Kana, at the very least, still have backups from Noble class :D (Unless his mods and growths are hopelessly hopeless and can't be saved.)

But wouldn't it be better for a tank to have more durability instead of speed? There's little point in them doubling since they're not the main damage dealer and it'd be kind of risky to let Ninjas debuff or Swordmasters hurt your tank, I think so. I've never tried a speedy tank before, I've always think that some Def/Res works best on them. And Iggy doesn't work well as dodge tank I think. >_< But Benny is a sweetheart for sure. I really want to do the same thing! But Laslow needs Falco class and the only one outside Azura who can give it to him is Selena. Should I have done Azura x Laslow? I saw that he hurts Shigure's speed and Defense even more than it already is so I didn't put them up together. Besides, no offense but Azura hair color looks off on most children to me. Only Sophie, Velouria, Selkie, Percy are okay with it, imo, and maybe Ignatius (only because I've seen Beruka!Ignatius almost everytime I went to other's castle, and Azura's color looks identical on him). I was about to do Hayato x Nyx/Orochi too! I did Sakura at first because their supports are cute and later on Rhajat turned out okay, but I still prefer dark hair Rhajat. Forrest is Leo's daughter right? I mean, son. *cough* Due to my -Luck, Forrest will have one negative point in magic. He eventually gets nothing from the MU other than some speed and skill. The Nobles don't work well on him due to his bad Str I assume? Honestly, there were times when I forgot that Forrest can't be a witch. About Ophelia, I thought that crit chance is determined by Skill, and Luck affects the opponent's crit chance on the unit? As eclipse suggested, Takumi is.. er.. okay, but I'm not too fond of a debuffing sniper, especially on Kana because there would be too many Bow users (Takumi, Kana, Kiragi, Avatar, Nina) in one team. My Avatar is Adventurer shining bow, so is Nina. :( I often switch my Avatar to Nohr/Hoshido Noble, or Spearmaster, or Dark Falcon (or classes that gives bonus speed) sometimes, but it'll still be too many. I like Saizo! But it means wasting one whole class for both Saizo and Kana due to class overlap. I just remember that his son was Asugi. I have mixed feelings about MU x Saizo since Gaius was my Awakening's FeMU husband in a few playthrough when I'm not playing MaMU to marry Sumia. Do I have other choices that'd make MU's other kid good or Spd boon was a bad choice on my side? Sorry for all of the questions :( I really appreciate all of your help.

Wow that sounds neat! But unfortunately my MU doesn't have any Str nor Def to give Ignatius. Is that still... viable? Does Ignatius need Spd? I was thinking of making a general with Wary Fighter, or does he excel at other things?

Hello, everyone! I have finished Conquest with a MaMU and I'm going through Revelation using a FeMU. I use the typical +Spd -Lck for boon/bane and Ninja as Talent in this run (this is kind of random, never used Avatar as Ninja before). So I already did these pairings, most of them because I like the hair on these children and their mods/growth look viable to me (thanks to https://inheritance-planner.herokuapp.com/): Jakob x Oboro (I rather like this navy shade than Mozu/Kagero's browish) Silas x (either Effie, Mozu or Kagero for cute hair Sophie) Kaze x Ryoma x Takumi x Saizo x Kaden x Azura Hinata x Hana Azama x Sakura Subaki x (I haven't paired him with anyone yet, but probably Hinoka? Because red hair) Hayato x Xander x Leo x Benny x Keaton x Camilla (I like Charlotte's, but her hair looks best on Percy. On Siegbert it's too bright) Arthur x Charlotte (Percy looks so awesome with Charlotte's hair) Odin x Laslow x (Most likely Selena. I like Peri here, I really do. But there's no other way for Laslow to get Falcobot) Niles x Elise I kind of forgot the whole class thingy, but it's fine since I'm going to use their respective class anyway except for Azama and Mitama. Mitama can S rank Shiro for Basara though, so I'm not too worried. Midori can either take Sniper from Kiragi or have Setsuna mothered her. That leaves Avatar (+Spd - Lck), Beruka, Effie, Felicia, Hinoka, Kagero, Mozu, Peri, Rinkah, Setsuna, Orochi, Nyx who are still available. Would anyone help me to complete my pairings, please? I'm mostly looking for good mods and maybe classes if necessary (especially MU's other child, whoever they are :D), skills are not important to me because of Friend castle and logbook. I have access to all DLC classes. And since I'm playing on Revelation, grinding is possible so unless the growth is as horrible as Gunter's rank I'm fine with it, though I always try not to outlevel any enemies in Story mode. If it helps I play in Lunatic Classic. I do pvp so I want to balance it out too, but mostly I just do friendly battles so it can still be manageable! I'm not fond of 2nd gen x MU though nor Fuga/Shura, other than those I'm fine with any gen 1 character, except Silas and Subaki. (It's not like I dislike them or anything, I just like other's hair on Sophie and Caeldori :D) Kana's not going to be strong as 2nd gen anyway so I'm not too worried about his mods, but rather MU's other child. I mean, who would benefit the most from MU with these settings? Talent is irrelevant I suppose since they always inherit Nohr Prince/ss. I would be grateful for any kind of inputs.
