  1. So I'm currently at chapter 3 and judging by the world map, I see second and even third tier enemies. The point is, one of my units are ready to promote (Clive at Level 7 to be specific). Since gaiden growth rates are very low, is there much of a point of me to wait until Level 20 to promote or should I promote immediately?
  2. Welcome to the forest DarkWind! When I picked up awakening a few years ago, I thought it was one of the greatest games I ever played, I just couldn't put it down. Like what some other members said, FE7 or FE8 are probably the recommended games to continue from, FE7 because it introduces you to mechanics that run throughout the GBA trilogy not seen in the 3ds games and FE8 because of it's similarities to awakening like the world map, monster type enemies, grinding etc. Shadow dragon is another I recommend after those because it's referenced a few times in awakening and shows the story of the real Marth. It's not too hard for FE standards. Don't let the "awakening hate comments" get you down, we are all entitled to our opinions and the best thing to do is not to get involved in those types of arguments. You'll get used to the fanbase as time goes on.
  3. I will pick Hero!Innes for you.
  4. It's finally time to tell you guys about my experiences over the first six chapters. In these segments, I will talk a lot about the characters that join between each arc, give those character's growth rates for this run and give further updates about the others. From the next segment onwards (Chapter 7 - 12), I will show the characters current stats. Here's a summary of each character's progress: Marth: HP 80% STR 50% MAG 0% SKL 40% SPD 50% LCK 70% DEF 20% RES 2% He has been useful so far, like he usually is. Marth is usually kind of a tank in the early game despite only having a 20% defence growth, however that's not the case here. Him and nearly every other unit on the squad will get killed after 2-3 attacks generally. He was very helpful against the cavalry in chapter 4 & 5 with the rapier, leaving other units to finish them off. Hopefully, he will continue to be useful right until the endgame. Caeda:HP 30% STR 0% MAG 35% SKL 70% SPD 75% LCK 70% DEF 0% RES 10% To my surprise, Caeda has been very competent as a mage and is one of my MVPs so far but that's probably only thanks to her speed and a forged fire tome with 13 might. Most of my units deal only 4-6 damage with an E rank, non-forged weapon, Caeda deals 8-9 damage and doubles mostly, very good for chipping down opponents. Cain:HP 75% STR 35% MAG 0% SKL 50% SPD 50% LCK 40% DEF 20% RES 0% Cain hasn't been too bad so far, He hasn't really done anything spectacular yet but he's good and thats good enough for me. Ogma:HP 90% STR 40% MAG 0% SKL 40% SPD 50% LCK 40% DEF 20% RES 0% One of my other MVPs. If your name is Ogma, you are automatically good. Many times where I can take on the enemy, they're left at 1 hp due to Ogma being unable to deal an extra point of damage. He was also good for dealing damage to early bosses like Hymen with his weapon triangle advantage and dealt an unexpected 6% crit against Gomer. Merric:HP 60% STR 0% MAG 40% SKL 50% SPD 30% LCK 40% DEF 5% RES 20% His performance is similar to Caeda in ways. Like her, he would deal good damage with a basic fire tome as well as leave enemies with low HP Matthis:HP 90% STR 35% MAG 0% SKL 25% SPD 40% LCK 30% DEF 25% RES 0% Why is he so hard to train up? I really try to use him for killing enemies at low HP but he can't do the job sometimes. Luckily, the next chapter has Minerva so maybe he can get a ton of experience by shooting her down? Roshea:HP 90% STR 50% MAG 0% SKL 55% SPD 10% LCK 10% DEF 20% RES 0% He did not get much screentime at all and is pretty much inferior to Cain in every single way. He did kill Rickard and a thief with a killing edge. Like Matthis, I'm trying very hard to make him viable. Maybe he can be once he's a dracoknight. Wolf:HP 200% STR 120% MAG 0% SKL 85% SPD 70% LCK 50% DEF 60% RES 0% Very good growths (200% hp and 180% strength). I know he can be viable, it's just gonna take a lot of time before that happens. Thankfully, he has the crit bonus as berserker which helped me out a few times in the last chapter. Sedgar:HP 180% STR 80% MAG 0% SKL 105% SPD 85% LCK 30% DEF 85% RES 0% He is quite fast and will most likely be viable (like his berserker counterpart) later on in the game. He can double opponents but unfortunately, the damage output isn't enough. All he needs to do is hit like a truck, but I'm sure he'll be able to eventually with his 80% strength growth. Overall, I have to say that my units cannot seem to do much damage without the use of forging. The enemies are quite bulky in the early game. Here are a very small amount of screenshots to start off: Welp, time for hell Welcome to The Merric and Merach Show! We got the Fire Emblem, roll credits!
  5. Hero!Siegbert (Charlotte as mother) because he wants to learn the ways of the axe like his mother before him while hoping to be able to wield the Siegfried as well like his father
  6. Swordmaster!Lucina with Olivia as her mother
  7. I think the Akaenia games could work well as a live action series and could at least be taken seriously this time (looks at OVA). It shouldn't be too hard because the story is already set. I also think awakening could work well as an anime. They have the voices, story and animation choice set from the game. All that needs to be done is expansion on them
