  1. Hello and welcome to the second part in a series where we go over every paring in Fire emblem Awakening. This time, we're actually reviewing some stuff! Here are the rules- 1. I will post three to five parings and give explanations of their various attributes. I will leave each thread for a week or so before beginning the next. 2. Ratings are given as follows: S (Amazing), A (Extremely Good), B (Pretty Good), C (Decent), D (Bad), F (Absolutely Terrible). 3. You do not have to vote for every paring if you do not want to. 4. Votes should be given based upon skills, classes, stats (Modifiers), and effectiveness during the Endgame and Apotheosis, NOT support conversations, hair color, Demand for a parent, etc. 5. All avatar rankings are automatically godlike, so those and Morgan will not be covered. 6. Any troll votes will be dismissed. Lets get started! -Ricken!Owain- The most popular dad for Owain, to my knowledge. Let's see what he gets! Mods- -2 Strength +5 Magic +1 Speed +4 Luck -1 Defense +2 Resistance New Classes- Mage Classline (Sage/Dark Knight) Cavalier Classline (Paladin/Great Knight) Archer Classline (Sniper/Bow Knight) Notable New Skills- Aegis, Bowfaire, Dual Guard+, Lifetaker, Luna, Tomefaire Overall- This paring basically confines Owain to a Sage Pair-Up partner, due to the negative strength. The great magic mod from Ricken really adds some potency and Dual Guard+ and Tomefaire are great for support. Owain is reasonable with bows as well, but Sage is overall the better option. Luna is always a good skill to have, and will help if Owain ever needs to attack. Aegis and Lifetaker are also there if you really want them, but end up being lackluster on this Owain. This is probably the way you want to look for Magic Owain. -Henry!Noire- Dark Mage X Dark mage, huh? Godspeed Noire. Godspeed. Mods- +2 Strength +5 Magic +2 Skill +2 Speed -4 Luck +3 Defense New Classes- Thief Classline (Trickster/Assassin) Troubadour Classline (Valkyrie/War Cleric) Notable New Skills- Dual Support+, Lucky Seven, Movement +1, Renewal, Wrath (from inheritance) Overall- We get a very mixed bag here. The mods say "Make me a Sage/Dread Fighter," but those are unfortunately not options. Positive defense on a mage is always welcome, though. The skills are inconsistant, with some support, some Magic oriented, and some physical oriented. She could theoretically use Axefaire in the War Monk class, but her strength is simply not as good as her Magic. Due to getting Renewal, and Movement +1, Dark Knight is the better option. Sorcerer is pretty good, but both Henry and Noire can certainly do better. -Donnel!Kjelle- Oh, boy, here we go. Mods- +1 Strength -1 Magic +2 Skill +2 Speed +4 Luck +1 Defense New Classes- Mercenary Classline (Hero/Bow Knight) Pegasus Knight Classline (Falcon Knight/Dark Flier) Troubadour Classline (Valkyrie/War Cleric) Notable New Skills- Aptitude (from inheritance), Armsthrift, Galeforce, Lancefaire, Renewal, Sol Overall- The obvious draw of this set is Galeforce. Kjelle really apreciates this skill, especially since she won't be doing much moving in some of her classes. The mods are pretty good, but the skills are the true heroes (see what I did there?). Renewal and Sol are both great for sustain, while Lancefaire and Armsthrift are good for using Regalia. I'd say this paring more or less lives up to the hype.
  2. Hello! I've been wanting to start this thread for a while, but I haven't been able to until now. I would like this thread to be dedicated to creating original Fire Emblem characters. Criticisms and feedback on other character submissions are also appreciated. In the interest of saving space, I have separated the information into spoilers. The template requires a bit of explication, which is shown in the first spoiler below. The template its self is under the second spoiler. The third spoiler shows a character I created. Don't feel like you have to feel in the entire template, either. You can do as much or as little as you wish, so long as your character is functional. Also, you can add elements, such as your character's design or backstory, of you wish; it's all up to you! Please comment or message me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for reading, and happy creating!
  3. Hello! This series (hopefully) will be dedicated to going over each and every paring in the game and rating them. I'm creating this because I've seen a lot of confusion in various places, including the Paring Thread here in the Forest, about what paring are considered good or bad, and I wanted to compile the data all here. While I've seen lists like this before, all the ones I've seen are at least a year old, which makes optimization frustrating. I will repost these rules on every thread. For now, I will not post a paring. Before I do, I would like to assure that there is enough interest in this thread for it to begin. If you're interested please comment the child you would like to see first down below. Thanks in advance!
  4. PAIRINGS

I'm thinking about making a thread that goes over each and every paring in the game, and having people vote on them. I know that threads like this exist already, but all the ones I've seen are at least a year old, and having older or inconsistent information can be very frustrating when trying to optimize. Is anyone interested?
  5. It would be a joke class. People would put her in that class just for the fun of it. What if everyone's personal growths had the same total. Like, you add up all their personal growths and the total is the same as everyone else.
  6. Libra!Inigo actually makes a really good war monk.
  7. PAIRINGS

I'm really not against Chrom/Sumia, I just don't like their support. That's pretty much the only reason I don't want to do it, but I know it's probably optimal from what you've said. That was my bad, I should've made that clear. Also, I just said that about Cynthia because there are paring that work out better for her, but I do recognize that Chrom's a pretty good option, just not optimal in my opinion. Again, my bad. As for Stahl!Gerome, I feel that people vastly underrate this paring. I do understand why Vaike!Gerome is a thing, good strength mod and he makes a great aggro support. However, let's be honest, this makes his resistance crap. As a Berserker, it's in the thirties with Limit Breaker. Has pretty bad skill too. Stahl!Gerome pretty much does the same thing as Vaike!Gerome, but with Swordfaire instead of Axefaire and with much more balanced stats. Stahl!Gerome in the Paladin class has higher magic than Vaike!Gerome's Resistance in the Berserker class. Thanks for the tip on Sage Brady. I just really like Sorcerers. They're my second favorite class. And my first is Dark Knight. No wonder I love Henry so much I'll probably just play around with Morgan's stats and go from there. Thanks!
  8. It would be a lot like Heirs of Fate, but better. And we might even get to see what Nah and Yarne's child looked like. What if the next beast pair we got was a dog-like creature and a cat-like creature?
  9. Stahl- Scatterbrained: Damage + 5 when facing an enemy the user had fought previously. Libra- Divine Contract: Luck + 4 and damage + 3 when facing Revenants or Entombed.
  10. PAIRINGS

I have revised my parings- Sumia!Lucina (I really didn't want to…) Ricken!Owain (Obvious) Libra!Inigo (One of Libra's best children, if not the best) Henry!Brady (sorcerer Brady FTW) Donnel!Kjelle (Yay, Galeforce) Chrom!Cynthia (Poor Cynthia) Lon'qu!Severa (All the speed) Stahl!Gerome (Probably the best Gerome (?), surprised I actually got this to happen) Kellam!Yarne (…I have nothing to say about this) Gregor!Laurent (See Owain) Gaius!Noire (See Kjelle) Frederick!Nah (One of the only viable tanks in the game) I'm planning on doing both a male and a female avatar play through. My question is, which character would be the most optimal father and mother for Morgan? Haven't started the play through yet, so asset and flaw are flexible. If you only know one or the other, that's cool too.
  11. PAIRINGS

I am doing a practice run for my optimization file so I can iron out any kinks beforehand. These are my current parings- Avatar!Lucina Chrom!Morgan Ricken!Owain Libra!Inigo Stahl!Gerome Gregor!Laurent Vaike!Kjelle Donnel!Noire Kellam!Yarne Frederick!Nah Lon'qu!Severa I am prioritizing the children and the strength of my army as a whole, not just individual children. This is why Vaike!Kjelle became a thing; I recognize that he doesn't make the best Kjelle, but she's pretty much the best child Vaike can make. Gerome was an option, but he just really likes having Stahl as a dad. I now have to decide between Henry!Brady and Gaius!Cynthia or Gaius!Brady and Henry!Cynthia. Which paring would be better? Or is there something else I could do? Please be helpful and respectful in your responses, someone on another forum actually suggested that I pair Miriel with Virion.
  12. Hello to the Forest! Seeing as it has been six months since I last posted (198 days to be exact), and I didn't introduce myself when I first joined, I figured this would be my opportunity. Im not exactly what you'd call a "long standing" fan of Fire Emblem, as I only got into a few years ago, but I am most certainly a fervent one. I will often go into periods wher I lock myself in my room (mentally at least, since my room doesn't actually have a lock) and work on things related to Fire Emblem, whatever they may be. I love min-maxing my files and the feeling of power I get when my units are just too broken for the game to handle, especially child Units. Thus I have sunk about 200 hours into Awakening alone, training my Units to be as powerful as possible. After I completed the story, I felt empty and went back to my seemingly finished file, just to find one more thing I could do. I recently started a new file just to do it all again and I play at doing a lunatic run at some point (which me luck). My current projects, other than rerunning Awakening, are figuring out which classes are objectively the best in FE Fates (I will post my findings when done) and creating my own FE Fates characters. When I say "creating," I mean stats, skills, support conversations, battle quotes, and personality traits, NOT drawing. I can't draw to save my life. Speaking of which, could someone direct me to the forum where I might post my characters? I want to post my own characters, take requests for creating characters, and post my template so others can make their characters. Also, of anyone would want to draw some characters for me, I'd be extraordinarily grateful! Thanks to anyone who helps or responds in advance and sorry of it sounds like I'm ranting in places. Oh and before I go, if you knew me before, when I was known as kiwirules99, feel free to call me that too, I probably won't notice.
  13. Male Kana. Also Sol if you have it, but it's no issue if you don't.
  14. Looking for Pavise and Aegis on Kana.
  15. Good god dude, thank you so so much! You have no idea how long I've tried and filed to work on this! *Clears Throat* *Leo voice* I mean, thank you kind sir. I shall have you rewarded if you wish.
