  1. Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Endless Frontier- Good game, fun too though also challenging due to it having many boss gauntlet sections (story progression is literally a boss fight within 5 minutes of each other) So I hate everything every enemy does in this game: Forced Evasion, my gods, the fact this can happen anytime you're trying to combo enemies and complete nullifies all damage for the rest of that attack is bs. This is an annoying mechanic that often has me screaming at my ds, it drags out boss fights even longer (since due to the above mentioned boss rush, the level curve is huge) since maybe 2 normal attacks deal 1/100 of a bosses hp, and then the forced evasion completely ends the massive attack string you had planned. On normal enemies it's annoying when you're grinding to take on the bosses. The common enemies level with you based on story so they may die in 1-2 attacks, but always have that chance of pulling a forced evasion. Overall a very annoying mechanic that makes me despise the characters, well the enemies at least, the playable cast is really good.
  2. I think they go cheap with the movie-like cases. Though to be fair I've never had a problem with cases.
  3. This seems way useful, since I am at the point of material grinding for crests (besides leveling and unlocking stuff of course) The other lists are useful as well, the achievement one especially since I do plan on 100% this game. I do say this should be pinned because it's so good (or at least linked on the main page)
  4. Any Grand Hero battles units (and the tempest units) I train up to 5 stars and marge them. I only have a 5* Marth +2 alongside a 5* Ursulla and Female Robin. The rest I need to train up to 4 stars (including my level 40 3 star Narcian)
  5. Well this was a nice surprise. So Sakura looks adorable and is top priority once this banner comes out. Henry and Nowi both look good and I'll try getting them after I get Sakura. Jakob will be the pitybreaker that I don't want (Looking at you Bride Caeda, Azura, Catria, Oscar, Performing Inigo)
  6. I haven't played that many hard games to be honest, but I guess I can throw out a few names. God Eater 2 Rage Burst (can be hard if you don't max out support abilities or upgrade your weapon fully or at least get tier 4 combat abilities, that or get really good) I've also gotten all of Heroes Story modes done (at least the normal ones, chain challenge is another story) Project X Zone 2 (not necessarily a hard game, but one that requires patience. There's a few levels that still mess me up in it today and I'm on my 3rd playthrough. Plus the endgame being two hours long is something else) Haven't beaten this one yet but Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Endless Frontier. (so basically as I often call it Boss Gauntlet, as 90% of theb game is boss fights within 2 minutes of another boss, meaning the leveling curve is huge, and the only way to be prepared is grinding up levels and getting better gear, so normal rpg stuff, but very tedious as your characters rarely do very well against bosses and grunts take a little while to kill. Also every enemy in the game can just say "screw you" and force dodge your attacks mid-combo, well they do it when they're close to the ground but at the same time that's where you want to hit them to do extra crit damage, as most bosses are hp sponges and deal a lot of damage) Does Conquest really count? Yeah it was the hardest out of all fates and the only reason I was able to beat it was me abusing dlc grinding to get my units decently leveled for the game but that's it.
  7. Yeah beating Caeda before Lyn and then taking on the castle guard then Validar is the correct order of events, though I guess doing Lyn before Caeda isn't too much of a sequence break. But to unlock Lyn you do need to beat Validar.
  8. I can see Henry being a thing for this. I honestly do hope the supposed Pig-Tail girl would be Severa. I honestly do think/want a halloween Hector. Make him a red armor unit with a coffin as a shield. Though my personal thoughts I still will accept whatever they give us and hopefully get one I want.
  9. I haven't made any too dumb purchases. One I did regret is actually getting a 360. I was young and naive so I literally got it just to play Minecraft (which tbh I do regret getting both the 360 and later the pc version) and that was it. So it was basically useless. I do have a few games to play on it now however, most notably Tales of Vesperia, so that at least makes it useful again. I had that trouble too, I got it and got caught up/burnt out by it. It just takes some effort. I'll admit I'm not far into it whatsoever still but I have at least gone back to play it after I first start it (curse you Fire Emblem Warriors, Bravely Default, and Valkyria Chronicles for taking all my time away!)
  10. Oh gods, I beat the game but since I redid levels in free play cause why not, my records aren't true. Oh well, it mostly seems like the last 10 levels were Lianna anyways with a Marth there and early levels were Robin or Lucina. Lianna leveled up to level 50 due to bonus exp and is now my strongest unit.
  11. Amiami is a good place to get them from. Anyways if you care about the promo cards in each set then two boxes will be needed since they are basically 50/50 chance you'll get one then the other. For example Series 7 had a Seliph promo card and I think a Chrom promo. You had a 50 chance of Seliph and a 50 chance of Chrom. Also if that doesn't make sense two boxes are needed due to the amount of SRs and Rs most boxes have. I got a box of series 7 when it came out and I know I didn't get all the cards. I'm missing several SRs along with a few Rs so it could work out if you get two boxes. If not then getting them single may be your option but some of those cards may be better off getting the box since you do get more cards for probably the same price (I'm specifically referring to the SR Nino out of series 7, that card alone was worth the entire box and shipping.) Anyways I wish you luck in getting back into this. I need to since that series 7 box was my first and last box.
  12. I still got 19 onwards to do, but I can safely say it's a mix of Lianna, Chrom, Cordelia, and Lucina. Maybe Marth for 1-2 in there as well. I'll post when I do beat it though, which hopefully will be tomorrow since I just beat 18 tonight and don't feel like playing anymore after also doing most of fates history mode.
  13. Likelihood: Genealogy or Binding Blade Hopes: New Mystery of the Emblem or a Tellius collection
  14. I honestly can't think of any for Cordelia soooo Every Manakete: Dragon Tales theme song
  15. Honestly the next game I feel like will be Tellius, Elibe, and Valentia. Though I'd honestly prefer this game as an all stars kinda thing with every lord and maybe 1-2 reps from the game being in it, but that's two much to ask for.
  16. I feel like they did conversations of units that make sense (Chrom and Robin for example) regardless of game, and then some new ones (Lucina and Cordelia being one and it's amazing because they are good friends) So for the dlc some logical ones but also unexpected ones will happen. I say for the past games add on characters writing all that dialogue isn't worthwhile and takes up some memory. The switch is more powerful then the 3ds and while VA does take up space, more support convos should hopefully be a thing.
  17. I would also like to point out that some of the maps with Anna's mementos can only be unlocked by beating that maps final boss and some requiring you to be so far in the story along with S-Ranking every normal map including the higher difficulty ones.
  18. Then I have no idea why my axe users are lacking, I can try it again waiter and use your advice of waiting more for the weak point gauge just before it wasn't doing any considerable damage at all
  19. Listed in no particular order except for number 1 1. Fire Emblem 2. Pokemon 3. God Eater 4. Namco x Capcom series (aka Project X Zone series) 5. Smash 6. Valkyria Chronicles 7. Xenoblade Chronicles 8. Golden Sun 9. Tales of 10. Bravely series Shout out to Dead or Alive I guess, I enjoy it and have played 1-2 games. Also shout out to the Super Robot Wars series, I've only ever played OG saga; Endless Frontier but I really like music from several other games and do plan on getting 1-2 more games in the future.
  20. I do go for the weak point gauge, even with that critical it doesn't do that much damage, even normal attacks (by that I just mean non-special moves in general) do little damage even when comboed. I guess maybe it's growths since rng is random for growths if I recall reading right.
  21. I feel like it's pretty good. I'm loving it so far. Just tbh the axe users seem underleveled to me. Camilla especially. I tried doing a map with her, Lissa, and Frederick and they were the same levels as the enemies along with having steel weapons and a few skills, they could not damage lance users at all. So I feel like I need to grind up their levels some before reattempting it. On the flip side, Lucina and Chrom are very, very good. Lucina shatters through Lance users most of the time and is a good anti-mage killer. Chrom is a slightly worse version but still good since two very good units with the Falchion helps on some maps. Loving the pegasus knights. Lianna is very good in combat. Bow users attack really fast but low range, but getting up close and spamming arrows is a reason why Takumi is great.
  22. I say Linde, as I hope they don't give her the standard mage moveset and actually have her use light magic. Olivia will be neat though
  23. True but it's how they decided to include her. The conflict is set Hoshido vs Nohr due to warriors taking place right when Corrin makes their choice. But wasn't Echoes dlc equal to fates and awakening's in total? Awakening had like 3 maps for $10 and had a few sets of that, okay maybe pricing was high but as I said it was content not fitted for the main game. Also the gold and exp dlc are meant to be boosters, Fire Emblem likes to be faithful to its remakes if we look at shadow dragon and new mystery. Ultimately it's just getting familiar with the games mechanics since it is so faithful to the original. I honestly got the season pass since I had been saving up for it. But besides that I would probably still grind units up like I've done with a few past games. Sacred stones was not graceful with exp once you got high enough leveled, and I feel that here in echoes, maybe not to the same extent as 1 exp but still noticeable for me. The game does give you the Royal sword, a brave sword or two, and Gradivus. There's also plenty of currency if you explore and do quests. The only bad thing I can say is the limited number of blessed bows. It may take luck but even with the dlc it's hard to get. Which I find fitting given they're the best weapons in the game, and it's not like everyone needs it at once due to limited deployment slots. I would say the slightly higher caps and other benefits helps in act 6, as that is really the only viable way to try to farm the legendary weapons without the dlc map, though at that point might as well just get the dlc map instead. But I've said it multiple times, they were scrapped content they decided to give to us as it didn't fit with the context of the game. DLC though does whatever it wants.
