  1. For someone who doesn't care too much about making one super optimal team; Would it be alright to avoid using 5-stars for skill fodder? I know it's not the most optimal way, but i prefer to have a large pool of characters that are all functional, which won't be happening any time soon if i keep trying to down all my feathers promoting fodder to 5-star just for one skill... I want to make sure i can still deal with lunatic difficulty missions and all the new modes introduced, though. Oops, triple posted...

  5. Yeah, you're right. He could respond to speedy swords like Ryoma and Lucina, even with the speed drop from Brave, and his lame base speed.
  6. Brave Death Blow... I like it! Sounds interesting. What would we give him for a B-Skill though? Quick Riposte, maybe?
  7. I noticed Xander comes with Armored Blow, and it got me thinking... What if we give him Darting Blow instead? I'm not even going to pretend this is optimal. Optimal would be Death Blow or Fury if you ask me. But it sounds like a fun idea! Xander has speed 24 as a level 40 5-star. With Darting Blow, he'd reach 30. Not the most impressive... Throw in Hone Speed, and he'll be running at the same speed as a neutral IV Catria! I was hoping to see if i could get some suggestions for other skills to add, ones to make this idea at least somewhat functional. Won't be running horse force though, so no hone cavalry. I'm looking to try some new ideas here, even if they aren't so good.
  8. Not gonna lie, this is a major dissapointment... Seeing Julia lose was already bad enough, since it means that for the first time in the Voting Gauntlets a pre-3DS Fire Emblem character didn't make it into finals. But in addition; our only hope of stopping another mainstream waifu from winning another voting gauntlet for the third time in a row is getting demolished! I don't even get it; Robin was in Smash Bros! I thought that would be enough to at least equal all the people that picked her because of the fan service (Don't mean to generalize with this, i know many have other reasons for liking her... But let's be honest; that's what the majority of her voters are in it for).
  9. I saw this one a while back, but i didn't give it much attention... Time to fix that!
  10. Turn-based systems are my favorites. Since there's no rush to choose your next move fast, it leaves more room for thought... I just wish more games did a good job taking advantage of that! Most of the time you just keep repeating the same action over, and over. Once you find the boss's weakness, you'll just spam that and everyone else's strongest attacks until you win. This is why i like them having unique gimmicks and battle systems. It adds something new to consider, and get the mental juices floating.
  11. I'm alright with both hard, and easy. As long as the game has something of a unique, and fun, battle system. For example; I love almost everything in Final Fantasy 6 so far... But the ATB system is so boring (in my opinion), i can't even get past the part where I need the gameplay to be solid. RPG's may place a large focus on story, but at least 50% of your time in them is still going to be spent in fights.
  12. Maybe if we get Laguz and Taguel, they could be colorless? We still don't have any range-1 colorless unit.

  14. Yeah, true. Here's a few: -Valkyria Chronicles -Tales of... (Almost any of the games with 3D battles) -The Persona series (Shin Megami Tensei too) -Breath of Fire IV There's also one called Fire Emblem... But i doubt you all know anything about that! (Kidding!)
