I was just wondering if it was even possible to get to all of the villages in the prologue on FE4 before they get sacked?

I'm hoping Echoes is being made for fans of old-school, undiluted, bad ass FE and not just the fans of all the pointless (silly anime) bullshit they've added recently. They've been stuffing so much extra frufru crap into these recent releases, I feel like it's taking away from the hardcore-strategy nature of the series and now the emphasis is on recruiting cute anime characters and touching them with your stylus while they praise you. Mechanically, I don't want pair up or next to each other (attack together) support type of shit. I would even prefer if they just keep the alm/celica & triangle attack supports and call it good with that. Honestly, imo, the less they change from Gaiden, the better. Updated graphics'll be sick, but other than that, I'm hoping for a straight forward, hardcore FE experience.

I've really been digging Gaiden a lot. The fact that most enemies rush you makes it a lot less "look at enemy range, bait w/ triangle advantage and wait" style. Could even be my fav simply due to this mechanic. Really hoping they don't shit on it w/ Echoes.

I'm at the end of ch.3 in Gaiden and Robin just died because he STILL had 3 def. like wtf. Also only did like 1 dmg right before he died. Also Eirika rng fucked me on one of my fe8 runs, only hit 6 pwr by the end of the game. That's ONE growth in str. Colm freaking owned her on that run... which is pretty sad...

I'm one battle from the end of chapter three in Gaiden and I just watched Alm one-shot like ten mounted units during a single enemy phase. Shit was glorious.

I gotta say, on most FE games, I tend to not use peg units since I favor sword and bow units and I like to move as a pack, but I've been playing gaiden and the peg sisters are amazing. They're all pretty well rounded, and I love Est's baller res. Edit: I didn't realize this was a heroes thread lol oh well, still probably applies to heroes.

The avatar mechanic is my least favorite thing about the 3ds games. I'm too o.c.d. for that shit.

Gives me another reason to buy a switch aside from Zelda... mostly getting a switch to wait for 2018's new FE console game though :)
