Let's get real here. Avatars are great. They make the games better, as you can imagine that you're having a fun little adventure in the lands of whatever game you're playing. This game needs an Avatar. If it doesn't have one, we'll lose the Awakening/Fates crowd. And that's bad, m'kay.

How did Corrin and Robin ruin the plots they were in, though? Robin barely had anything to do with Awakening.

I'll concede that Chris is a Gary Stu. However, Corrin makes a load of mistakes and his actions lead to GENOCIDE at times. He certainly isn't a Stu. Also, Hoshido trusts Corn-man because they believe that he's their brother.

We've never gotten a Mary Sue Avatar, though. Why, though?

Easy. Avatar has a tome or a rod that lets it travel to Alm and Celica instantaneously.

Yes. It'd be crazy to not marry Camilla.

Yes. It'd make the game way better.

Any Rally or Seal Skills that they get. Those are pretty much it, IMO.
