I can't take Famitsu seriously... Keep in mind, these were the same guys who gave FFXIII a perfect score. Soo I not feeling the hype at all, about this.

The only positive thing I can say is that... maybe it will be cheap? Yet the story in that game sucks, but again, the story in Gaiden isn't so great either.

I'm sorry but you can't say this is a "Retcon"... Remember "The Outrealms", the concept of "Retcon" doesn't exist in the Multiverse of FE.
