  1. A mix between Lyn's story and fe6's tutorial would be nice. Fe6's tutorial is small, yet teaches almost everything you need to know about the game at the most basic level. things such as: Visiting villages, talking to units (not enemies though), and seizing the throne. The reason this works is because it isn't a 10 chapter long mandatory on the first playthrough tutorial, but it only teaches the bare minimum. The reason Lyn's story works is because most things you do carry over into Eliwood's or Hector's story, and it teaches you almost everything, including rain, which only happens in 2 chapters in Eliwood's and Hector's stories. The problem with Lyn's story is that it's too long, while fe6's tutorial teaches too little for a new player who has never played a game like Fire Emblem or know anything about Fire Emblem, while Lyn's story can turn of fans of the franchise because of how long it is. A mix between them would most likely be a short, 4-6 chapter tutorial that teaches new players how to play the game, but is interesting, engaging, or fun enough to keep some of the more impatient fans (or people in general) playing.
  2. Lugh, my favorite unit gameplay-wise, and one of my favorites personality-wise, has no chance whatsoever.
  3. Oh, didn't know that was a thing, I just said it because I and a few people I know have had him get speed/skill screwed quite a few times. Sorry I didn't specify that.
  4. In what world does being prone to getting magic screwed make him bad? Just look at Raven in FE7. He's prone to getting stat screwed but in no way does that make him a bad unit. Also, Lilina has a higher chance to get speed (arguably the best stat) screwed, at a 35% growth, and will have bad skill at a 25% skill growth. Lilina's only real use if you don't get outrageously lucky is for staves, but saul does that job so much better because he starts with C rank staves (maybe B).
  5. It's just pure luck, you probably just got unlucky quite a few times.
  6. It seems you just got home bad level-ups honestly, it can happen to anyone but Karel, but his averages are superior in everything but magic, res, and luck. Lugh's just prone to getting magic screwed.
  7. Lilina will almost never ORKO let alone OHKO enemies, mainly because her speed is quite bad. Lugh has enough magic that he'll usually kill when he doubles someone who isn't a druid, sage, or bishop, and he has very good avoid.
  8. How exactly is she the best earlygame anima mage? Her speed and skill are quite low, and the only thing going for her is her 75% magic growth. She gets doubled and/or ORKO'd by most units lategame, while Lugh (The only other earlygame anima mage) has better availability, good speed and skill, while having decent magic, and not getting doubled by any enemy with a speed stat above 14.
  9. I'm seriously puzzled here, due to hearing people call her the best mage, people saying she's great, and people saying that she's better than even Saul and Clarine sometimes. I'm sorry if I offended someone somehow, but I would just like some answers.
  10. I found a copy at a used game store that is genuine. Thank you for the advice.
  11. So recently I've been trying to find a copy of FE7. After playing the rom, I wanted to get a physical copy, but I have been unable to find one that's real. If anyone could potentially explain what the cartridge art looks like, or something similar, that would be greatly appreciated.
  12. I see your point, but I still think Cecilia is overrated just a little bit.
  13. I honestly think that Lugh is a bit low, his exceptional skill and speed and his good magic help him become an above average mage and sage. And, also, Cecilia needs to be lower, I honestly don't see the appeal in her unless you're doing a low turn count playthrough, but apparently move and con make up for mediocre stats.
  14. I love how this has become whether or not to use Lilina and Ogier. I just wanted to say about that, Lilina is not good at all. I personally use Lugh instead, and, Ogier can be decent if he gets good levels (along with most characters except for like, Wolt). But also, thanks for the help with fe6's hard mode.
