  1. I've been playing helldivers 2 through my friends library with steam share and its amazing. Makes me want to get it really bad so I can play with my friend. The first game is pretty good too.
  2. That is how I managed to do it. When I play Grand Prix now I tend to wait a bit and join a room with fewer players and make sure it doesn't get too full. If it does, I usually leave. I do hope they become more common in normal game play. They are very fun and challenging courses, and I would like a 99 car race in fire field. Just imagine the chaos on the sharp turns.
  3. I played PoR, but Radiant Dawn is my favourite. I played pikmin 3, first but prefer Pikmin 4. Valkyria chronicles 1 was also my first, but then Valkyria chronicles 4 is even better. My first Zelda was OoT, but I much prefer Majora's mask, although I haven't really given too much thought to how the Zelda games all fit among each other in my mind. Pokemon I played blue slightly, and remember getting through big chunks of gen 3, but my favourite is Gen 4. I'm conflicted between both HG/SS and Platinum, both are so good. It might be true of other series I have played though. Idk.
  4. Following this Idea, I would love a boss who eats a wonder flower and then reverses the role, like Mario becomes a Goomba, and has to avoid getting stomped, perhaps fooling the boss to jump onto spikes to defeat it or something. I swear I did not read this until after I posted, but yes this idea sounds great
  5. This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but as a new player to the game, I really wish they had changed a few things. Some of the specific game interactions feel kinda clunky. I kinda wish there had been some option to make them less awkward. Like the bashing of the door. I spent so long trying to time it with the shifster, and even when I though it was quite in sync, the game begged to differ (or i was a pixel away from the door). It didn't help that the shifster's queue was a little too fast and not enough time given to prepare for it. Bowser's snaps were better in this regard imo. Also, the bean stalk jumping... I'm pretty sure this beanstalk i'm trying is optional, but god damn it Mario keeps touching it, and then slides right off. It seems the jump is calculated so that you have to be very precise when you let go of the directional button, other wise you will fall. But this just seems like bad design because it is difficult enough to make the jump anyway. The shadows in theory help with lining up the jumps, but these particular beanstalks are so far up you can't see the damn cloud. So so much for that. Although I have had a few gripes with small things like the above, I am enjoying the rest of the game though. Thankfully the frustrating things are not as common at least. I hate the jumping challenge to reach 100... ;_;
  6. Aren't his specials very close to Falcons specials? I understand they have some differences in their effects, but the animations of down B, Up B, and Neutral B all look very falcon like. Even the side B looks similar, with the exception that Falcon hits instead of grabs. They behave somewhat differently when hitting, but I'd find it hard to agree the moveset of his specials isn't inspired from the captain. I don't really know enough about Smash bros moveset or figthing game in general to be able to say what is a good kit or not. And I don't have too many issues with the particular way ganondorf plays. Creatively though, I do think they could do more to distance him from looking a lot like Captain Falcon. Like some of the stuff you mentioned in your vid (the trident move would be neat)
  7. Rip a studio ghibli zelda movie. I don't quite understand what the fascination with live action is, but I don't want any of it. Fantasy tends to look much better as animation imo.
  8. Is it though? The man has ranged attacks, the use of a small sword, a big sword, a trident, and a similarity with other characters due to being the re-incarnation of demise, why should he have an up-tilt that is 2.5 seconds long, or be a clone of captain falcon in terms of specials and some tilt attacks?
  9. Oof, I feel like the people have really improved at F-Zero. Of the few times I have done the King league, I can't seem to make it to top 20. Always seem to rank out when I'm really close. I just want to unlock Fire Field for the time trials. I was doing really well in Kinght League just now, had tons of kills under my belt, but choked just before the end and crashed out. I was doing well in score too ;_; Edit: Nevermind! I just managed to do it. I even finished fire field! Although, the practice time seems tough to do. Best I managed was 3:13...
  10. Personally I found the dialogue to be painful. And some of the conflicts between the main characters as they meet each other to be extremely frustrating. Not the fact that they had a conflict but the way it was developed and resolved through the series. For example Annette calls the other two children for not acting how she thought they ought to. But then they go in an undercover mission and gets her friend killed because she could not control herself. Then when the party splits off Annette is all angry about Richter because of what he did, until she is not because spirits. I also found it extremely bizarre for the religious people to have so much conviction for their cause while they are literally working with vampires and resurrecting bodies in a twisted demonic way. I get cognitive dissonance but this is just extreme. Specially when they frequently speak about vampires and night creatures in such disparaging way. Still Olrox and Mizrak were interesting characters at least. I like the juxtaposition they both were in. Also, no, I did not think Olrox was a woman. To me there was no question he was a man.
  11. Glad my tip was useful! I do love the fire sting ray because of how well it turns. Though I started using the golden fox to a little more success. I find though that with Fox I find my self falling behind very quickly specially if I want to hold the highway until later in the track. The red bumpers are also killers. I accidentally used the boost too quickly when I was in the top 10 using Fox, hit a red. And almost made it to the stop, but some guy just devoured me cm before the finish :C
  12. I'm really enjoying it. I'm not too bad. I can somewhat frequently get in the top 30, with sometimes managing a top 10 win. Usually with the Wild goose or Fire stingray. Their turning ability is really key I find. Golden Fox is good, but I find it hard to manage boosting + and also not breaking down. Specially when you start the race in the middle of a pack. Also, the bonus of the Fire sting ray is that, if you can maintain the speed and not touch any corners, then your speed will be almost always at max or close to max. The fire sting ray usually allows 1 boost per turn if you want to keep a net zero usage of power. I think it is similar with the Wild Goose. That one is really good if you find yourself crashing a lot. I find that boosting constantly is only good if you can reliably be front running. Otherwise, players will knock you around too much and will make you think twice about going for a boost. Oh, also, I like going wild goose on grand prix, specially since I'm not so good on the more difficult tracks when there are people around and I find a beefy car that can take a lot of hits and mistakes lets me outlive the competition. It is how I ended up placing 18th in the first grand prix I played to completion. Also the fire stingray is amazing on time trials. I unlocked all my portrait backgrounds with it, with one exception (which I don't remember but I used Fox for it).
  13. Those sections were part of the original game
  14. Paper Mario Thousand year door is getting released 😮 I was so excited when I saw that. I still have to see the rest of the nintendo direct, but that was good. Also, anyone know where peachette comes from? I understand its some mix between toadette and peach, but it is a strange addition to MKD8
  15. That is a good point. That said, the fake zelda doesn't necessarily have any issues with being a power pre-sacred stone.
  16. The stones only amplify the user's power. It is perfectly possible for Ganondorf to be able to produce a zelda image. We don't know the abilities of this old Zelda image when compared with the powered up zelda. The only time we see it in action, Ganondorf was close by. He might have teleported in or something, but there is little indication for this. So distance could be impacted. Also, the old fake zelda didn't turn into phantom ganon. The new Zelda does. It could still explain how Zelda happens to be everywhere. Ganondorf makes a phantom ganons that make a zelda all over the place.
  17. Don't click if you don;t have all memories but...
  18. I didn't call out a specific topic for a reason, and I have nothing against you. It is mostly to curve my own temptations. A feature of hiding a topic is as useful as blocking someone in any website is. Some people might not particularly care to enter a specific topic even accidentally.
  19. I'm curious if there is a way to hide a topic or something? It would be helpful when trying to avoid spoilers for games
  20. Oh lol, I don't remember 3H as well as i thought
  21. Some maps have story elements that need lots of explaining, so I'll try to keep it short. I also don't know how well I remember it, but from the ones I have played: Ike's Paralogue is based on the chapter right after his father dies. He goes back to base after his father dies to find out the enemy is close by. They get surrounded and have to survive. A couple of units left him before the map begins because they had no confidence in his leadership. Micaiah's paralogue is a very notorious chapter for radiant dawn. It is a defense chapter and the greil mercenaries have come to defeat the dawn brigade (Micaiah's army). Ideally, the two should be supporting each other, but Begnion, the main antagonist country made the king of Daein (Micaiah's country) sign a magical contract that forces them to do whatever Begnion wants, or else their population will start dying. IIRC this chapter happens just after Micaiah or another unit kills the king in a desperate bid to break the contract. It doesn't work, so Micaiah is forced to hold Ike's forces at bay for a while. The situation is pretty dire for them. They know they won't make it, but they also know they can't stop fighting. The map is vicious in Radiant Dawn on a first play through. DB units are usually worse than GM. The defense tile is not a tile, but a line across the map, and it juts out like a U towards the center. There are many enemy reinforcements and although you get ballistae, you won't have enough to deal with all the fliers. Don't remember Lucina's or Celica's.... Fates is the chapter where corrin chooses a side and has to fight against the other. This is where the game branches of from the other 2. Don't know how Revelations work but I'm pretty sure it still takes place in this map. There are tiles to manipulate the map with corrin, which is where the "She dried the river" came from. Byleth's map is when the enemy army comes to the school to ransack the graves of the 12(?) past heroes who had very powerful weapons. Your objective is to stop them from taking the weapons and defeating the army before they steal everything.
  22. I feel like darknuts have a good chance of coming back this game. They are typically corrupted knights, and seeing as hyrule would have been in the process of reconstruction (I'm assuming more than a few days have passed) there might have been a small army that was started. I'm quite excited for this game. I would have been fine with BotW but with like sky. I'm really exicted for the new fuse mechanic. And I mean breakable weapons are back, but at least fusing them seems like it will help a lot. A few times in botw i found myself struggling to find anything but a branch, cause the good weapons broke. In this game if you have a branch you might be able to get more use out of them and that is a plus.
  23. Oh I have another. cut the gold income by half or more... Honestly, I am so poor on my first maddening run. Almost at the end, and I struggle to buy a mend staff :<
