(Note: Been hearing for years by many how bad Fates' storyline is. This project isn't to take from those who truly enjoy this game. This is clearly a fan based, fan directed, fan dedicated project that I myself will put work into as well. Like a lot of work. This isn't to crap on those who enjoy things about Fates. This is a disaster!” (Trust me, we all did at some point.) Well you’re in luck, because I told myself that several times. Still clicked on Branch of Fate for like my umpteenth playthrough, but that’s because I’m a masochist that hates myself! Sure, the gameplay mechanics are great … most of the time. But, everything else is trash! Story … Trash! Supports … Trash! Characters … Holy hell, Intsys! What were you thinking! Here we have the noble Hoshidan Samurai, Ryoma! Regal Lobster man of Bushido Badassness! And, then we have Fury 3! You know, brown hair? Samurai Swords! Son kind of resents him. No, not Ryoma you know … that guy. Fury 3! What was his name again? Or, how about Pink Ryoma with thighs? You know, the woman who blames a kidnapping victim for being kidnapped. What about Harley Qu … Peri? Crimson Chi … All Might? Okay, he’s a precious Cinnabon who protects another Cinnabon. Camilla. Yeah, I can hear all the Heroes players groan at the mention of that name. And, can we discuss why Flora turned herself into Sigurd 2.0? There literally was no point! Well no more! Because me, my two trusty co-writers (Who I owe all of this to), and perhaps you are here to save the day and MFGAL. That’s right, we’re going to Make Fates Great At Last! So, why are you still reading this possibly, indefinitely, cringy post for?! Like I read back on this and I wonder “What was I thinking?” I am here with an Update on everything. This is no longer about rewriting Fates. But rather, making changes here and there to improve gameplay and make the lore more prominent. Whether it be making character palettes consistent throughout the game or even making the characters themselves feel like actual characters. Fates isn’t that bad of a game. It has flaws. Tons of FE games had flaws and no one pushed to completely remake them. I want to in fact make this a passion project. To give the game everyone loves to hate a little TLC. Spruce her up. Make her look pretty. So, I will be spending time myself first implementing changes to certain bits of dialogue in the game. Whether it be having Ryoma and Xander acting like generals instead of ANGRY ONI CHAN’s during Chapter Six and even giving Peri back her First Person speaking habits. I am sorry for all who have went on to not only like this post but those who felt that I was attacking a certain sect of the fandom. I have matured and realized just how stupid I was going in and now I am going to improve myself as well as give this game a bit of love. Ask questions down below or even suggest little bits and pieces of changes you think would be cool and maybe I’ll implement them. Have a nice one!!!

Update: Really slacked off after moving into my new apartment that I forgot about this thread. I have decided to reopen this project and will be taking 1 - 3 edits from each of you. If you wish to add an edit please continue posting and I will get to everyone. I hope. Plus, with the advent of the new Fire Emblem Editors and a ton of sprites we now have a ton of possibilities to make this a memorable PME. Update on PME: Adding my own personal thing by changing the Druid Sprite into the Generic Necromancer Class and Making the Summoner a Personal Class. Thoughts?

Will do the Marisa Change and make her Noire from Awakening.

Probably going to do the Ross one and even make him a Myrmid with his own stats, portrait, and everything.

Will consider this edit. Might even just make a brand new female Ephraim and Male Erika Sprite for this purpose. May also consider giving them both Alm and Celica's growths.

Yo! Just decided to finally join this forum after so many years of watching the FE Community Grow. After completing The Sacred Stones when I was 13, I had become hooked. Searching for vids to learn a bit more about FE years later and I came across MageKnight404. A guy I not only share a birthday with, but a favorite class. Well, I used to like Heroes. More of a Sage lover these days. Anywho, loved watching the playthrough of his first hack, regardless of the memes it generated, and decided to dabble in rom hacking myself. I sucked. Literally crashed every rom I touched. So, I just stayed to the side and let the community grow. Until I randomized the very game I started my FE obsession years later. I soon learned how to splice mugs and insert them. Edit maps and sprites and what not. Still suck at Hex Editing, but baby steps. Now, I aim to just dick around on randomized SS runs and have a good time. May even upload my runs on Youtube. But, I am mostly here to learn how to hack roms and turn it into a hobby. That, and have as many PME runs as a Valley girl has handbags. Wish me luck on that. What else? Shamelessly married Tharja, don't really care about the direction FE went when it came to the anime tropes. Always thought the franchise survived off of anime tropes. Very neutral when it comes down to several things in the FE community. Nearly died when I saw that Echoes was announced. Loved Gaiden, though I hate the poor skill stat and hit rates. Hey there. New to this forum, but not the Fire Emblem community. I have been lurking in the shadows and now I am back to enjoy the lovely land of rom hacking. But, I am taking a break from learning the ropes to indulge myself in a nice PME run. Here are the rules: NOTHING from the PME of more well known FE community members/Youtubers. (IE: Lords always being dancers from Mangs or anything Amelia-is-bad Meme that also is a Mangs thing. Not that I am some whiny Amelia fanboy. I want to use every character at least twice in the run, and I want it to pertain to me. Not riding on the coat tails of someone more well known. That would be a huge disservice to Mangs and how awesome he is.) I would like to have promotions be a singular branch. I feel it would be more challenging and also ... the multi promotion shit was always useless in FE 8 due to how one class was always overshadowed by a better class. As an avid lover of the Halberdier class in FE 9&10 I would love to have at least one soldier. Maaaaaagic is liiiiife. (Jesus that was cringey) Previous characters from other FE games or Characters from future games are allowed. I will allow one original character in the game as long as it isn't to ... Mary-Sue-like. Have at it, boys!
