  1. I really do appreciate a little haven like this for the more positive parts of the game. I can totally understand why people would have problems with the game and I respect that, but all the negatively was really getting to me. Anyway, I'll fully admit that I'm an Awakening newbie, (though technically I did start with some early chapters of Sacred Stones, but that's neither here nor there) so the roster doesn't bug me as much as it would others. Honestly, I was on this train as soon as I saw Raijinto as one of the five weapons from the initial teaser, as I love Ryoma to death. From what I've seen regarding gameplay, it all looks incredibly solid, so I'm really eager to get my hands on it and try it for myself, since I'm not incredibly familiar with the Musou series. I'm also glad that there's gonna be multiple modes to help increase the game's longevity, so I do hope stuff like History Mode end up pretty meaty, as I think it could be really fun. As far as characters go, they honestly all look amazing when it comes to their movesets. I was destined to rep the lobster from the start, but other noteworthy characters for me personally are Robin, Lyn, Takumi, and Marth/Celica. Especially Lyn. I have a very deep love for the Myrmidon and Swordmaster classes, they're easily my favorites as far as classes go, so to have not one but two badass Swordmaster-type characters is great for me. The music looks like it'll be top notch stuff, so I'm happy about that. If I'm honest, this actually bugs me more about the limited game representation more then the actual characters, since in my opinion all of the Fire Emblem games have amazing soundtracks so it would've been awesome to see even more songs represented. Still, I do like the soundtracks from the three main games quite a bit all the same, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do with that. (I heard an Alight remix in one of the trailers, it sounded great!) And hey, maybe if we're lucky we can get a couple of remixed songs from Echoes or Blazing Sword since Celica and Lyn are here. (Come on, Twilight of the Gods in Warriors would be hype and you know it) Finally, DLC. Yes, this is a controversial topic, but I'm gonna go with a cautiously optimistic approach here. If the DLC is worthwhile and is reasonably priced, I'll support it, as I'm all for as many characters as possible, and who knows what else could be added via it. Personally hoping for History mode maps corresponding to the respective characters and new music tracks from their games, since as I've already said I love FE music and I always welcome more of it. So I guess that about covers it. I'm still incredibly hyped for Warriors, it's the game that made me decide: "Okay, I need a Switch for this" and I'm still very excited for it. October 20th can't come soon enough.
  2. I feel like he's moreso getting at we have no idea when Celica was added during development. For all we know, she was added at a point in time where there was so little development time left that they only had enough time to make a clone regardless of the character. It's the justification used for the clones in Smash 4, whether or not you like it is up to you. Edit: And I think I got ninja'd.
  3. I'm gonna say that's probably Luna. IIRC the Black Knight had Luna and Renewal in PoR, and Eclipse is just called Luna in the Japanese version of Radiant Dawn. Luna also has a cooldown of three in Heroes, so it fits there as well.
  4. I like Lianna more for what it's worth. Both are kinda generic, but eh, such is the fate of an OC in a game like this. I'm not here for the newcomers, I'm here for my favorite Lobster. It's not like I'm opposed to them per se, it's just they'll probably get overshadowed by the vast majority of the cast for me personally.
  5. Do you even need to ask? It's gotta be the Lobster. I love him too much for him not to be my main, and I just love Swordmasters in general. Robin would be next on the list, partly because I like him as well, and partly because his magic moveset seems like it could be fun and would add some variety compared to Ryoma's physical moves.
  6. Well, I have a couple of characters I'd like to see, but a lot of them probably aren't gonna happen. Still, may as well throw my hat in the ring. Archanea: Navarre, Jeorge, one of the Christmas cavs, one of the Whitewings, preferably Catria, Merric, Minerva, Camus, Hardin. Gonna assume no newcomers from Shadow Dragon are gonna show up, though it would be nice. Awakening: Owain, though I find his Fates incarnation more likely, Gregor, Gangrel, Walhart, Nowi, Priam. That last one purely hinges on how they handle Ike though, as while I do like Priam, I'll admit he's basically a poor man's Ike and so I really can't see him getting in if Ike does before him. Fates: Leo, Takumi, Arthur, Kaze, Kaden, Reina. Not the most creative list out there, and I wouldn't be surprised if I forgot someone, but I think that's covers it for now.
  7. I could see ballista working actually. Probably not in the form of the Ballistician class though. If they are in the game, I feel like they'd be more like the GBA games where they're just laying around at random parts of certain maps, and any character that can use bows would be able to access them and nuke some faraway enemies for a few shots.
  8. Interesting that Robin uses all the different types of Tomes. I probably should've expected it since Smash and all that, but still. Regardless, it sounds cool, so I'm looking forward to trying that out when I eventually get the game. I do hope we get a downloadable demo or something though, it'd just be nice to tide people like me over until the full thing releases, and it may win over people who are on the fence at the moment.
  9. Merric I can totally see happening. I'm assuming Robin won't be our only Mage, so we'd need more of them, and Merric would be a nice choice from Archanea. Plus he has wind magic to help set him apart, as was already mentioned. He also has Excalibur, so I'd be shocked if that doesn't end up as his weapon of choice. Astram I find much less likely though. I do think it'd be cool to see someone with Mercurius though, because if Jeorge and Camus make it in, we could see all three of the archanean regalia, being Gradivus, Parthia and the aforementioned Mercurius.
  10. Pretty much this. I'd love to see Jeorge with Parthia, as it just seems like a really cool weapon to use in a Warriors setting. I also think it'd just be cool to see Jeorge and Takumi team up and have them unleash a barrage of fire and energy arrows onto the enemy.
  11. That's a pretty solid base roster Jedi, at least for one that's trying to remain conservative. Yeah, there's some characters I'd like to see (I want Arthur personally, but his chances are pretty much next to none), so I'd be relatively okay with that as our base roster seeing as we're limited to three games.
  12. Been lurking for awhile and decided it was time to finally create an account. I guess I'll give a brief introduction. As you can probably tell, I really, really love the Lobster. A lot. My main experience with the series comes from the 3DS titles, but I have played Blazing Sword, Sacred Stones and Shadow Dragon, so I'm not completely inexperienced with non-3DS games, though not nearly to the degree as other people here, so I hope you won't judge me for that. Anyway, that's about it for now, so I hope we can get along well!
