  1. I feel like if they go for PoR/RD as DLC then we'd likely get the 3 main characters (Ike, Elincia, and Micaiah). Only if they're one of the focus games in the sequel would we get a bunch of supporting characters too. I'm just gonna throw out some weird ideas. If we get a SoV pack then I'd actually like Mila to be playable. This game is a good opportunity to get NPCs from FE games playable and I have a feeling she'd have a pretty unique moveset with Tiki's Awakening gimmick where she goes full on dragon. I'd also like to see the OC Queen whats-her-name of this game as a playable mage, just because(as a free update of course, not many would pay for her, including me).
  2. I'll just go through the characters I care about. For Azura and Olivia, I'd like them both to have very elegant dancer movesets (think Diaochan type of moveset) with crowd control water bending for Azura and gymnastic attacks surrounded by flower petals for Olivia. For Tharja and Linde, I don't mind them taking inspiration from Robin's attacks so long as they're unique themselves and are more dark/light focused. Tharja could attack with dark waves and have a Nosferatu strong attack, while Linde could attack with sweeping balls of light. For Owain, he's gotta have tome specials and Odin costume. That's pretty much all I need from him. I expect Niles to have the generic Archer moveset, so... yeah. Big bow Adventurer outfit would be nice. The rest can do whatever.
  3. Besides the NPCs as DLC, I'm extremely happy with the character choices. I really didn't think I'd actually like all the choices. I'm not going to buy a season pass until we see what the characters can do however. If it turns out that not a single DLC choice has a unique moveset then I'm unlikely to buy it. Barring Minerva and the NPCs, all of them have a clear concept that can separate them from any potential cloning, so it's really unacceptable.
  4. I'm glad someone finally went really in-depth over these subjects. You really dealt with all the points well. Does anyone actually know how much time it takes to create a clone compared to a unique character?
  5. I also hope the NPC allies like Niles and Owain get promoting outfits too if they're made playable with an update, and I especially hope that Owain gets his Odin dark mage outfit along with giving him tome specials instead of regular sword specials, as specials are unique to every fighter as opposed to the shared normal attack movesets, just to reference his character in both games.
  6. I'd also love it if the packs come with a few new costumes too. Camilla could get a Witch costume, Elise could get one that makes her look similar to Forrest, Tiki could get a Nowi one (if she's not DLC herself), Anna could get her Trickster and Outlaw outfits, Marth could get his classic pantless look, the list goes on~
  7. What about the issue of clones as DLC characters? I'd be much less inclined to purchase someone like Olivia or Tharja if they have the same base moveset as Marth and Robin even though I like both the characters and the movesets to begin with, and I'd be more inclined to buy someone like Inigo if he has a dancer based moveset as opposed to just slashing with the sword 10 different ways. Would you lot want to buy a character you're indifferent to if they're clones?
  8. Indeed, Robin has Elfire, Elwind, Thoron, Ruin and, for some reason Rexaura or at least that's what i sounds like they're saying. Leo and Elise have Arcfire(well they say Giga Fire), Moonlight, Mjolnir, some dark magic spike attack, and some other attack I either can't remember or haven't seen, and that's only their normal moves so they all seem to have quite some variety in the elements of their attacks. They could still do a ton more with magic though. If they found a way to make like 6 different movesets out of swords then they can at least make a few more magic based movesets, especially with dark and light magic.
  9. I wouldn't really say there's no chance what so ever of a new weapon type. DLC characters are likely going to bring entirely new movesets to the game as opposed to simply being semi-clones, so already they're set apart from every enemy in the game. Enemies also don't have to use every weapon, do any of them use Tiki's non-awakened dragonstone attacks?
  10. Do we even know how long it took to implement the semi-clones? Seeing as how the difference between the clones and the originals are mostly animation/effect based (with the specials mostly just being mid-match cinematics) we could have potentially cut every clone in the roster and maybe gotten 1 or 2 more characters. Also, if we're comparing this game to HW, we need to count the amount of movesets as opposed to characters. HW had only 13 characters in the base game, but 20 unique movesets overall. FEW has 25 characters (including the gender swaps) but only 16ish movesets (I'm not sure if the lemon twins share a moveset or if Hinoka shares Caeda's, so I assumed they're all unique). I'm all for adding clones to get a few more characters in the game, especially for a series with an abundance of similar characters like this one, so I don't think its a particularly bad road to go down if there's time at the end. DLC however, clones are slightly less acceptable unless they really can't do anything unique.
  11. I'll just go ahead and throw out my DLC hopes too~ Azura: Water-bending dancer with a lance practically makes it's own unique moveset. Still hurt she's not in the base game. Felicia: Knives are sadly missing from the base game and with her ice magic she can really have some dynamic special attacks. Keaton: Non-Manakete transformer with the potential for a more vicious moveset. Silas: Ah, the cavalier husband. Mounted lance user with potential for specials where he summons knights similar to Cordelia's specials. Not likely to have the most wow moveset but a class missing from the game none the less. Reina: Not only would the Kinshi Knight mount look gorgeous in this game, Reina would also add a flying bow moveset. Olivia: Another sword character but with her dancer motif she could really bring a flowy Diao-Chan like moveset to the game complete with flower petals and acrobatics to separate her from the other sword wielders. In fact, she could simply use her spiky ring thingies around her wrists as weapons to be completely unique. Tharja: We desperately need more mages and Tharja has great Dark Mage potential. Adult Tiki: I'm not fond of how they handled young Tiki's animations. Using the dragonstone as a actual weapon was a genius move but I think adult Tiki with more graceful moves overall would be much less jarring to me. Linde: The only SD character I know that's not already in Warriors thanks to Heroes. Could easily bring a Micaiah-like Light Mage moveset with Aura being the base of many of her attack effects.
