  1. FE8 is fun for those looking for a game to absolutely dominate the enemy forces. Almost every character can solo every map (Pirate Ship being the exception), and the story isn't the best I've seen. While I believe it's the game with the best maps overall, I also think it's the one which gets more uninteresting towards the end story and gameplay-wise; I'm not fond of gamebreaking abilities such as Slayer, or awesome-characters-on-Ch-1-that-never-stop-being-awesome such as Seth. Also, post-game could've been far more interesting than "Hey, go through these 20 maps three times to get overpowered characters!" FE6 isn't necessarily hard, but rather annoying. The story is a bit more interesting than FE8's, I guess. Maps are unecessarily large, and you do have to think your way through if you want to progress. It's a game for those who value tactics, rather than overpowering your opponent. Characters are alright and have some decent development to them. FE7 had a nice story, memorable characters with good background development. Maps aren't as good as FE8's, but aren't as annoying as FE6's. It had decent variety of missions too. I still find it easy overall (too many good characters), but it is, out of the three, my favourite.
  2. She sucks on every level, except that she can get you a Guiding Ring and hits RES. 1/10. She is also hawt. BIAS POINT TIME. 2/10.
  3. Firstly, let me say I congratulate yoru effort on balancing what is a hard-to-balance game. Even today I was talking on the chat and asking about balance patches for FE8. Now, as for my thoughts on it: - Don't change the Movement of characters. FE8's maps, while not massively big, are pretty labirinthic, and it destroys the purpose of mounted units. Also, Great Knights have that -1 Mov penalty because it sort of balances them out; taking that penalty out doesn't seem too good on the long run. - Franz got his stats upped? What? But he's one of the best characters already! - Iron Sword on Eirika isn't that big of a deal; you can buy them later anyway, and you get a 2nd Rapier as well. - Bows on Generals look sort of gimmicky, ubt sure, let's see how it turns out! - I am curious on what you'll be doing regarding abilities such as Slayer. Congratulations on an interesting project. I'll be checking this out regularly! ;)
  4. Alright, I think my team is capable overall. Early game, I have Roy, Marcus and Dieck. Dieck will be shadowing Marcus, trying to get the best level-ups he can because soon enough he'll be replacing the old geezer as the main enemy-slayer. I'll also recruit Sue. Although she costs turns to get, my other options were Shin (which I found a worse choice considering Sue's high speed is more of a benefit when she rescues people) and Treck (which... well... lol). I wanted Zealot but CR picked him right before me. Sue's fine eitehr way. Dorothy can chip, I suppose. With her and Sue, FLIERS SHALL STOP ME NOT. Ellen will be my main healer throughout the game. Not my favourite one, but OK nevertheless. Asthol can be useful for stealing items and with his high-move, perhaps he can actually be useful with rescuing/taking-and-dropping too. As for Barth... I dunno, he's just there. Perhaps he can sponge a hit or two. Geese covers my axe-needs (together with promoted Dieck). I like him, and on NM he can be pretty reliable. His water-walking abilities might be of some use as well. Tate might be a pain to recruit, but will be my main ferrier once I get her. Together with Sue, I foresee Roy and Dieck being taken miles away from the rest of the team, while Marcus cries in the corner and feels replaced by little girls. Hugh is my only late-game choice, but a nice one nevertheless. He's a solid option to hit RES, a possible secondary healer, and after some Elfires perhaps he can reach Aircalibur and Forblaze. With those, I'm pretty sure the Wyverns will be a breeze.
  5. Dorothy. EDIT: Will be going now, so here are my last picks in order:
  6. Of course Saul and Clarine had to go ;_; Ellen.
  7. Damn you CR! Anyways... Sue.
  8. Because I am awesome, I am in.
  9. He's great overall for all the reasons mentioned before, but I am nitpicky and want to point out some of the things that keep me from giving him a perfect score - He comes mid/lategame - His skill is nothing to write home about, which is a pity indeed. Prevents him from being as reliable of a bosskiller as DA RUTGER. - His growths are far from impressive, although that is a minor point considering his bases - He doesn't fly - His support options aren't the best Because I also have bias against him (I just never liked him), I'll give him 8/10
  10. So, how is the HNM SOYO Draft Going?

  11. I tend to like bow-users more than the average FE player; but then again, I also try to have an Anima/Dark/Light trio at all times. While her bases aren't anything spectaculer, her growths are pretty good, she can be useful against the large number of wyverns roaming around, and she has a fast support with a pretty decent healer. That would, for me, warrant her a 6.5/10, after a 1-point bias upwards. However, this games offer much better bow-users, namely Sue and, most importantly, Shin. Not only do they have higher movement, but are also more capable of rescuing, weilding swords after promotion, and in Shin's case, getting HM bonuses. Because of that, I can't see Dorothy being too useful. She's definetly usable, but for those who like Bows, FE6 has much better choices. I give her 5 on total.
  12. My team is weird. Renault: Refa knew I hated this guy, so he picked him for me. How nice of him. Will probably have 0 use overall. Or perhaps just fortifying on the last chapter. Canas: Yay! I love this guy. Also, with Luna he might be able to do very decent damage. Bartre/Karla: I never really used any of these guys. I have no idea what to expect from them. I know Karla becomes very decent if properly trained, but by the time she comes I doubt that'll be possible. As for Bartre, I know he lacks Speed and Skill, but perhaps with some Secret Books he can be decent. Hawkeye: Already used him last playthrough. He's not amazing, but he doesn't cause me to go bananas. So I guess that while I'd prefer a flier, he's not bad. He can also tank hits, which will probably be important given the frailty of some mages. Serra: I think I'll be relying heavily on this one. I hope she gets A staves quickly, cause without flyers I'll be abusing her Warp for LTCs. Lucius: Same, except I might be abusing his Rescue? Kent: My sole mounted unit. I'd like a flyer as well, but I guess this fits. He's definetly more capable than Lowen, who I got last playthrough.
