Unfortunate, I liked the thief theme give me my thief Leon IS. I also like tea, but the the banner is a bit... well yeah, boring. At least the thief banner was interesting. I'm glad for the Tailtiu and Sigurd alt tho, FE4 deserves some love. My Lumera will be +10 at long last. The others... Maybe I'll build some of them at one point, but down on feathers and time for now. Hero fest, just did the free pulls, got nothing. Oh well, not going to waste orbs on it. Was hoping for Byleth for arena, but not having her won't be what keeps me awake at night. 4*SHSR is awesome tho, going for all blue and hopefully will get dancer Shigure after going for him basically every time he was featured, and still not having him. If I won't get him now either, I'll just give it up and accept the fact that I'll never have him. Other than that, nothing really. I feel like the game is getting boring with no real new content added. I feel like it's basically about PvP modes now, where it's really hard to score good with non-premium units, so even if I have my favourites built decently, it requires luck not to get matched with a team that counters 80% of the units. Anyways, was hoping the update would bring something new, not exactly sure what, but it definitely didn't.

There is no exact definition of personal data, as it can differ depending on context, usage, etc. Basically, if you were to make a definition, you would have to list everything that you mean by it. Now that's not to say there isn't a definition that can be a guideline to decide whether the given data is personal or not - basically, everything is personal data that can be used to identify the person the data belongs to. Doesn't matter if the process if identification is trivial or not, if there is only one person who can identify you by something you share, that is personal data. If I were to say my real name here, then my personal data is being stored by the server providers. If I were to say I'm the biggest FE fan in X location, and my neighbour finds the post and identifies my by it, then my post also contained personal data. So it is really not as simple as many think it is (me included before I had a whole semester about GDPR and personal data, data protection, online privacy...). The thing is, being a hobbyist forum, you also store data that can be used to identify the members, which can be proved to be personal data if someone is really inclined to do so, in which case having an accessible way to have their data deleted completely is not option but a necessity. That's just my two cents though, I don't think anyone would strike down the forum suddenly, but as our saying goes "better be afraid than get scared"

I would tread carefully with this, as the GDPR is taking things more and more seriously about data protection, and you have an obligation - with very few exceptions - to delete personal data upon request. So unless you can justify not giving the option for the deletion of data with one of the points listed on the European Commission website's website, you can get into trouble. I believe even more so if the personal data of EU citizens is being stored and processed on servers outside the EU, or if the member is underage. As someone who works in IT I can totally understand how frustrating these things can be - mind you, I never worked with forums, so I don't know how bad things are here, but I do have quite the extensive experience with unoptimized processes. This, however, is most probably not a valid reason for retention of user data. While I do agree with this, it's one of those things where there are many possibilities why someone could change their mind about having an account. For example, if a minor registered, posted, and a few years later requests their data to be deleted - regardless of reason it must be deleted (yet again quoting the website of the European Commission) Disclaimer: it is not my purpose in any way to judge the work the moderators are putting into this forum. I've been a member for years now, and I have fond memories of using the forum, and wish to do so in the future too. However, as someone who's working in IT, and working towards a career in privacy, data security and cybersecurity, I wish to inform people of the regulations related to their data, and in this case OP's claim about account deletion was valid (unlike the other claims in the original post lol). I'm no lawyer or an expert in law though. If there is anything I've misunderstood - either about the GDPR, or about how the forum operates, and why it might be perfectly valid to not have an option for data deletion (which there very well might be!) - please do correct me. It would be beneficial for me to learn more from others, and could be beneficial for anyone who gets to this particular post too.

To be fair, anonymous reports would make it easy for bots to mass report multiple users, as it would be difficult to get them banned, no matter how many reports they send in. More like "suggest", I think? Looked around a bit and haven't found an easy way either, and I agree with you on this one thing. There should be a way to delete your own account. I mean, I can see why it's also a security issue (if someone gets access to your computer they can delete your account without you knowing), but I couldn't find any info about account deletion in the profile and account settings page either. Maybe just a button that let's you contact a mod, or maybe a message like "you can request the deletion of your account at a moderator" or something.

That's a good point, I was sure Alm is the wealthiest, but now it seems he might not be after all. So I would also say Marth and then Alm. I would say next is probably Eirika and Ephraim, although they don't rule over a whole continent, they have good relationship with other kingdoms, so I think trade is blooming, which, honestly, is arguably better then a huge barren land with nothing to do and nobody to trade with. Eliwood, Hector and Roy probably in the same tier, or a bit lower, I'm don't exactly remember the endings. Ooh nice! I wasn't sure of that, so it seems Corrin is out of the game. Unless there is New Valla, Nohr and Hoshido living in harmony, trading with each other and such, because then Corrin can be wealthy too. Chrom is in the same tier too I think? Now the thing is, while both Dimitri and Edelgard has a kingdom, I would argue that they should be in a lower tier than the previous - they don't exactly live in harmony with each other, so I'm not sure how is trade between the nations, which does make up a lot of the wealth, unless you rule over all the fertile land and resources of a continent. I would be baffled if it turns out that the church has wealth comparable to the whole continent's. Also, hold up, does he get the continent in the end? Man, I really did forget the ending, might be time for a replay. Ah nah, I totally agree, it definitely wasn't, like, the whole community expecting something FE related, but there were a number of us, so just pointed that out. Also, yeah, "I like Fire Emblem" is way too controversial, let's go with something lighter as a first step

I guess we did get Sonic, and the artwork of Star Ocean looks nice, really like the style. Probably won't play it, but it looks nice. Another forum topic in General Fire Emblem had people - me included - speculate about/wish for an FE4 remake announcement, or some new DLC or stuff for existing games. Well not sure if we were expecting it to happen, but definitely hoped for.

Yah, kinda, haven't been up to date with Nintendo ever since I sold my Switch, I only really followed Fire Emblem Now that you mention it, I'm curious what's up with the Metroid franchise, and I do look forward to otome game announcements, but I'm not sure if those are a thing on Nintendo Directs or not - I still wish most of the new ones weren't Switch exclusives...

Would be one of the few seasonals I'd be hype about, I'm really curious how some of the characters would turn out! Would they just swap the gender? Turn their personality around as well? Make canon ships canon but genderswapped? Then again, as an average side character enjoyer, most of my favs would not be included, as always, but as long as FE8 characters are on the banner I'm good

Don't do that... don't give me hope If an FE4 remake gets announced, I'll buy back the Switch Lite I sold to my friend last year when I went into a heavy declutter mode. Actually, it might've been earlier than that, Three Hopes wasn't announced yet, and I did regret selling it a bit as I love warriors games. In case of an FE4 remake I would also be able to play that too No expectations tho, but I would love if there was a new FE Warriors game as well, either a GBA era one or an FE4/5 one. Ooh right, some new info on the Rayman DLC for that Mario+Rabbids game would be awesome too! Or a whole new Rayman game, but that ain't gonna happen...

Free Malice (didn't have her yet, so it's quite cool), and free Brave Tiki, who I already had, but will be a good fodder with Def/Res Menace and whatever her A skill was (Atk/Spd Finish if I remember correctly). All in all, good start today!

To be fair, it's best for them if they treat the new characters better if they want to get new people to play - and spend money on - Heroes. If someone's entry to FE was Fodlan, they would probably start playing Heroes for Fodlan characters. If said characters are underwhelming, then they might not spend much time playing the game, and probably wouldn't spend much on it either.

Weird, it feels like some of these units should be on separate banners, but instead they decided to put them here all together - anyways, I'm sad Ephraim is not the demote, but happy that L'Arachel is, as long as it's someone from Sacred Stones, I'm good. Tier 4 skills on the other hand seems to continue invalidating other skills, I remember when a working build required only tier 3 skills, which could be inherited from units available even at 3-4* (with a few notable exceptions, like Swift Sparrow). Now it seems like you have to actively fish for specific skills on seasonals...

I used to play Tekken with my cousin on his PS2 quite a few years ago. I think it was either 4 or 5 because it had Christie in it - who might be a bit unpopular, but was still one of the main motivations for me to try out capoeira... shame I had to stop thanks to the lockdown. Well anyways, after my cousin sold his console I hadn't really played any fighting game, save for a round or two of newer Tekken titles at parties. I never really liked Mortal Kombat, but I've played a few rounds just to be able to say "yes, I've tried it, but I don't like it". It's just... it's just needlessly brutal and gorey for me. Last christmas - as I moved back home until I finish my studies since there are only online classes anyways - we bought a ps4 with my siblings, and the first game we bought for it was Tekken 7. It was such a nice wave of nostalgia, even though two of my favourites are not in the game (Raven, Christie). I haven't really played much after the semester started, but I'll probably pick it up for a round or two again when I host a party or something. After the virus ends, of course. The last few days I was thinking about buying Granblue Fantasy Versus, but I can't justify spending $60 on it with my country's currency being at an almost all time low, and not much time to play anyways. Maybe in the summer.... So yeah, while I do have a little experience with fighting games, and I do like playing them from time to time with my siblings or friends, I never really play online or try to get more serious about it, and playing offline solo is not really fun enough to buy more and more of them. Even at my best I'm quite bad at games (in general, that's why I always leaned more towards story-focused, turned based games - or straight out reading a book), and online play doesn't really attract me anyways, so I mostly just play them as a social thing with friends.

I mean, as someone who is not really into new games anymore (Rayman 2 is more than enough when I actually feel like playing something) - and isn't really looking forward to any game, I had 0 expectations. I was like: "Hmm, maybe we get something nice" Well yes, we did. Kena still looks promising, it might be the first game in years I feel like I want to try - even before release. Also, Sifu looked interesting, but I have yet to see if it's interesting enough to actually play. However, even though I had 0 expectations, this presentation still managed to disappoint me. Well, yes, Kena and Sifu looked good, but what's up with that FF7R? Like, are they really pulling a "future episodes only available on PS5, sorry no sorry"? Because if this DLC stuff won't release on PS4, it sure feels that way. I have no reason to think episode 2 will not be a PS5 exclsive now. And that's just stupid and shitty. Not that I've ever finished the first episode, but I can only imagine how cheated people would feel who actually waited for this game - or worse yet, who bought a PS4 just for the reason to play FF7R. I mean, good lesson not to buy a console for a single game, but still, it just feels wrong. We'll see how SE reacts if enough people voice their opinion about this.

Yeah, I didn't know how many characters have been added. The more there is, the worse my chances are. While yes, it's not worth getting them to +10, it's just something that I'd like to do. Sacred Stones means so much to me, and I just wish I could match my +10 Eirika with +10 merged Innes, Tana and of course - my favourite of them, and one of my most favourite characters in gaming: Ephraim just feels sad. The fact that they are not really useful in non-PvE modes and yet they are so rare doesn't help...

I have to admit, it isn't as bad as I originally thought it would be. Still, this doesn't mean I like this system. The thing is, that 3% rate to get one of the, say, 20 characters is so low, it doesn't make merging any easier for F2P players. Say, I wanted to get Ephraim +10 since launch, and yet I've only managed to get 2 copies so far. Even though I pulled on banners for him every time he was a focus. I also wanted to +10 regular Lucina. So far, I haven't managed to get a single copy of her. I even got two copies of her bunny alt, and yet I can't seem to pull her regular self. I even debated getting FEH pass just for her, but the thing is, as I can't possibly +10 her, there is no point buying her. I still think demoting them to 3-4* would've been a better idea. I'm tired of getting Abel or Roderick every time I summon on blue. Maybe make better units like Hector and Brave Lucina 4* special, and demote units like Ephraim and Karel. I don't see how having them demoted would make merging them up hard. I never actively pulled for any of my current +10s, and I never had a problem +10ing my favourites who are available in the 3-4* pool. That being said, I already got Ishtar and Dorcas, so that was nice at least. The only thing I really like about the system is that pity rate isn't broken when you pull one of the 4* specials. Other than that, it didn't really helped me in terms of summoning, so for me it wouldn't have made a real difference if they never implemented this system...

I think it has more to do with Dimitri being the legendary version and Edelgard being the brave version (which is more common than her legendary one, and could be picked up for free). If it was brave Dimitri vs. brave Edelgard than I guess the hate would probably go for both of them. Also, some people still couldn't let go of their love/hate of Edelgard, so there is that as well. On the one hand I can 100% understand people not wanting brave Edelgard to be given out for free, when this is the only chance to get a more rare unit for free - be it a legendary, mythic or seasonal. On the other hand, brave Edelgard is one of the strongest unit in the game currently, probably even more useful than her legendary alt. Well, for PvE anyways. So yeah, I don't think she necessarily deserves the hate. For me, I don't want either of them to win - I have both anyways, and I don't really use either. I would like to get Freyja. I know she won't win, but I'll support her as long as possible.

Welcome, do make yourself at home! I wish I could say I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy, but I have only played a few of the titles. And so far my favourite is the XIII trilogy, so yeah, my opinion is pretty invalid anyways If I may ask, which FF title would you consider to be closest to your heart? They do have some things in common, but for me they were very different types of games. FF Tactics, in a sense, was a bit complicated after FE, so I had a real hard time to get used to it - which is why I never finished the game, despite it being seriously awesome. But yeah, both are technically strategy/tactical-rpgs, so there are similarities. Just a fair warning, don't expect it to be a Final Fantasy themed Fire Emblem game. Depending on the player, this is either a positive or a negative thing.

Makes sense, now that I think about it Joshua was a free character even though him being pretty popular. Yeah, series-wide Lex is definitely not that popular, but for some reason I thought he was more popular than Azelle or Annand, so it was surprising to see him being the 4*.

Woke up, no Fernand GHB or Tatiana (though I'd like her to be TT reward to be honest), day ruined. No, but seriously, I didn't think Lex would be a demote. Isn't he quite popular, or is my mind playing tricks on me? I like Annand the most out of them, but I'll probably not spend orbs on the banner. Not only because I'm real low on them, but also because I don't see a reason why I should. Maybe if Annand was the 4* I'd try to +10 her, but this way it's just meh. The artworks are all pretty good though. I like Díthorba's lance and Annand's clothes.

Fair enough, but imagine everyone doing this. Maybe it's not actually as broken as I thought of it at first. But I'm sure if it were to become reality I would have my fair share of problems working a way around it.

Counter skills (distant, close, foils, wards), although I fing it highly unlikely as they are pretty strong Fury for the memes and Valter (so for the memes in the end) Solo skills I also wish we could get some tier4 skills as seals in the near future - it would freshen up the game a bit I think. What I don‘t want to see are Lull skills - magine someone running Lull Atk/Def on slot B, and Lull Spd/Res as seal. Getting all your buffs cleared and getting debuffs in all stats on top of it just sounds way too bothersome to deal with.

Oh yeah, I didn't mean to come off as rude. I was just referring to how it's not necessarily easy for people to talk about religion, because it's a sensitive topic. I just added that to my thoughts to show that I understand why some people wouldn't want to talk about it. I've asked similar questions of a religious friend of mine before, there is nothing wrong with being curious. Quite the opposite, it's better to ask than to assume.
