  1. I love this games attention to detail. One of my favorites is that in the reveal trailer we see the image below. After playing the game, it makes sense that the four dragons on the sides of the immaculate one are the four saints. Whats even cooler is that the dragon is clearly the Windcaller, which is Saint Macuil's true form that you fight in Claude's paralogue. To the left of him, there is a dragon that I'm assuming is the Immovable, but it's harder to say since he is in the background. One more thing I'm sure is a cool detail is that I think some supports change based on events that happen. I'm not sure if they actually changed, but there are a few post time skip supports that reference that Rhea is missing, and after she is rescued they talk about how she is at the monastery. I'm not sure if the supports were actually altered or if they were just locked until that point in the game.
  2. So I wonder how long until they drop a English version of the trailer
  3. I'm still wondering if stuff like main cut-scenes, supports and other similar things will be voiced acted. There was no voice acting when there was the choice to work on axes or swords, but this might be to minor of an activity to warrant voice acting, like how there was no voice acting for for stuff like shops and blacksmiths in SoV. It is also possible that the voice lines have not been recorded for those parts, as we see a crit happen and it seemed to be missing dialogue.
  4. One thing I'm wondering if they will implement from SoV is the ability to deploy all of your units at once. I am wondering this since the Switch can probably hold a whole unit's army plus all of the unit's backup troops, and the shear numbers will emphasize the scale of the war.
  5. I wonder if with higher movement they will have larger maps. I'm not saying they should have Fe4 sized maps, but ones that are larger than what we saw in the previous games would be neat.
  6. I'm happy to see this community finally having stuff to discuss other than rumors I am really exited for this game. One thing that caught my eye is that the fates/awakening pair up system is absent, however it might be different because we don't know whats happening at 0:59. I'm also happy that the main lord is not the created character, but I'm also wondering if they are going to be the Jagein of this game. Im also curious whether the formations are going to be a large aspect, as it appeared that near the end they changed into a more defensive formation. I'm hoping that we will get more info in the next few months.
  7. I still have irrational fears that it will somehow not be shown. By all rights it should be since its scheduled for 2018 and we are halfway through the year, but we also thought it would have to show up during the last direct and we were wrong. There is always the possibility that it could be pushed back.
  8. Want: Oh this looks fairly interesting Don't want: Wait did they go another conference without even mentioning it? Expect: Oh look, Smash Brothers.
  9. Optimistically, there could be the chance that its a global release, but the only proof is the fact that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 managed to pull out a global release last year. Considering that smash switch and Pokemon are probably going to be the games of October and November, it looks like we would be getting the game in September (which is unlikely), December or maybe early 2019.
  10. Interesting. Personally, I would hope that the main story still has the layout of the Heroic Adventure similar to all the other FE's, rather than a change in tone. I would still be interested in seeing aspects of dark comedies shown in different side characters. If this game were to have the protagonist in a flawed kingdom, I would hope that it wouldn't be as blatantly evil as Nohr. At most I would prefer a kingdom that is morally good, but sometimes relies on some not-so-honorable tactics away from the public eyes. This could even work for an allied kingdom or even the antagonist's kingdom.
  11. Just curious, what kind of matters do you think would make it a "black comedy"? I feel that some of the background matters in these games can be seen as fairly dark. I feel that some darker matters could put the games age ratting at risk, just like how Ace Attorney Dual Destinies ended up with a M rating due to the dark events that happened in some of these cases (although this might not be a fair comparison).
  12. Personally, I liked how fates had two kingdoms that were completely different, and I wouldn't mind if they had more kingdoms that differed. My main hope is a small kingdom based on the Aztec/Mayans. They could have a lot of ax units since they mainly used clubs in history, and could also focus on dark magic based on the sacrifices they did. Another theme that isn't talked about much would be a Polynesian style. As much as I like a Norse kingdom, I would see why they wouldn't make it, since the kingdoms in Heroes are based around different Nordic realms.
  13. While there were some problems with this, I liked the way each map of conquest had its own gimmick that changed the play style of the player. For example the escape chapter on that stairway map where you had to use the dragon veins to freeze the hoard of enemies. This encouraged players not to just slowly turtle their way through the level. However, I do believe that these maps are good in small doses. If they have a gimmick for every map, they should make sure that it doesn't get annoying (cough cough wind tribe map), and that it isn't the only focus of the level (example being the kitsune level where the only notable is a 1 tile river and all the enemies have pass and are invincible every other turn)
  14. One thing I absolutely loved from Echoes was the conversations Alm/Celcia could have with his companions at the shrines. I always found it so interesting to hear what each solider's thoughts on the events in the story were, such as Saber talking about his return to Rigel. I disliked how in previous games you would get a character at a random point of the story, and then disappear from the narrative, only existing to the people they can support with. This might seem like a weird hope, but I don't want most of the cast to know each other prior to the events of the game (I'm mainly talking about how most of fate's crew on both sides is just royals and retainers). I prefer to have the support conversations to focus on the characters meeting for the first time and sharing their differing paths that led them to join the main lord's army. The best supports in my opinion have both one character and player simultaneously learn about the other character's past events that turned them into the person they are. In fates the royals and retainers to an extent already knew each other, which caused the supports to be less focused on the characters discussing each other's pasts.
  15. Elibe: Saint Elimine, one of the eight legends from the Elibian games, can appear and give items to the player. How does one activate this process? (By linking a gameboy with fire emblem 7 to a gamecube containing the mario kart double dash bonus disc). (this question might be a little too hard) Tellius: What form does the goddess Yune in the Tellius games initially take in Path of Radiance. (Micaiah's bird) Archenia+valentia: What is the main aspect that defines a sword as one of the Falchions (being made from one of Naga's fangs) Ylisse: What is the significance of the child unit's birthdays, excluding Morgan? (they all correspond with the Japanese release dates of all the previous fire emblem games) Fates: Which character is said to resemble the old king of Valla, Cadros? (Shigure)
