  1. If not anybody in Fates, what's the ideal example of a useful knight class in an FE game, and is the character still worth using overall? If not, what would they need to reach that point? Personally I've always found FE7's Oswin to be a terror among his knightly peers. There's clearly something in the water in Ostia, considering how he and Hector (the ultimate life form) routinely hold whole fronts by themselves, basically ignoring the weapon triangle and the notion that other units are supposed to be faster than them - but aren't. That said, I do agree that Fates' skills were a major boon to the class, so maybe the real exemplar of the type is Effie?
  2. Here's a thing, though it's probably a big thing: How does Fates calculate experience gains for units when they hit but don't kill an enemy? What about the payout for using staves? I've found a few posts describing in bits and pieces what you get as a reward for defeating units, but thus far nothing on the other sources of experience.
  3. Apologies for asking here, but that'll make sense in a minute. You see, to my shame I can't seem to find the new topic button. Are new members restricted from creating their own topics, or is my browser staging an elaborate jape at my expense here? Thanks in advance. And uh... hi! Game dev and long time FE fan here!
