  1. Kagetsu x Boucheron cause Kagetsu keeps telling the Bouch to ‘quiz’ him. Bunet x a restraining order. Bunet is unhinged and it’s honestly making me like him as a comedic character. His S support is also surprisingly sweet (compared to many others).
  2. Wait...not kidding but I also did Sage Boucheron and he's honestly a surprisingly good magic user?! He maxed out HP and Dex, has enough speed to double most enemy units and can take a hit or two just by the power of high HP (for a mage) and being fast enough to not be doubled. He also has the same Res as Ivy despite being 5 levels below her (granted Boucheron had more level ups due to second sealing).
  3. On to my final chapter but trying to grind supports so I'm holding off finishing my first run. Best: Diamant w/ inherited Alacrity + Sol. I could literally throw him alone into a crowd Ryoma style and he'll tank everything and heal himself. Louis vs Tinkatons. His main weakness is magic users which appear more endgame so I dont think he's as good as Diamant. Alcryst: End game Alcryst has decent defences, doubles a lot and have pretty high crit rates. He crits a lot and if he doesn't crit, Luna procs pretty consistently. Most Disappointing: Chloé had to be dropped midgame cause she was getting bad level ups (ended with more mag than str without reclassing). Will use her again in next playthrough. Ivy: Honestly was hoping to use her as the main magic user but I've regulated her to a staffbot by end game. She's too slow to double so she does less damage than other mages on the team. Her mobility is great for healing and other staves shenanigans though. Worst: Framme is remarkably unremarkable. I think it's the first FE game where I benched an early game healer.
  4. Yep, for my second playthrough, I might do it in Chinese to see if the other characters come across better. It's strange that although the things that happen in supports are pretty similar, I didn't really pick up on how sweet Boucheron is in English? The word choices in Chinese really hone in on how gentle and caring he is to everyone though.
  5. So I'm kinda enjoying the lighthertedness of a lot of the supports. A lot of Goldmary's supports are kinda hilarious although I'd hate to deal with someone like that in real life. Diamant and Timerra's B support is also pretty funny. One thing that I do feel 'eh' about is that English translation seems to tone down the sweetness of S supports for characters that are 18+. I just read Boucheron's S support/wake up events in Chinese and he seems a lot sweeter in Chinese than in English. For example, in Chinese, Boucheron says something along the lines of 'Your smile...I will protect it' in one of the wakeup events but the English translation is: 'Don't worry about a thing. I will always be here to protect you'. The S support character card also has a slightly suggestive line that roughly translates to 'When the two are alone, they become very passionate' which is completely removed in English.
  6. I'm not sure how class growths affect the character's stat growths in general but I'm hoping he'll reach at least 10% magic growth as a mage. Either that or I'll just throw stat boosters at him lmao. I tried units in classes they're clearly not meant to be in in Three Houses and there were some surprises like how Armour Knight Marianne was actually not useless.
  7. I like having one troll (aka borderline useless character) in each run. Right now I’m thinking mage Boucheron.
  8. Interesting but this kinda contradicts the info being spread on the subreddit? The predominant belief there is that there are 3 males and 5 females for ss supports. I guess I'll wait for more information as I've accidentally seen unwanted story spoilers on that subreddit.
  9. So the Fire Emblem subreddit is talking about a list of characters that can have same sex pairings with Alear. Can anyone confirm those? Or is it just bs that is spreading like wildfire?
  10. Since there seems to be story spoilers in the official leak thread. Is it possible for someone to post what's up with romance in this game when the details are out?
  11. Based on the preview snippets and screenshots I’ve seen on support conversations, it seems that they’re leaning towards a more light hearted and comedic direction in this game which I honestly don’t mind. During TH I kept thinking about how Fodlan needs an army of therapists to deal with the issues the characters have. It got a bit overwhelming to jump from one serious issue to another.
  12. Ideally everyone is bi. This is the direction Japanese games with romance is going towards and FE devs should follow the trend. However, I’m not optimistic about it so the next best thing would be the royal siblings being bi. Realistically though, the more stereotypically ‘feminine’ male character will be the mlm option so right now I’m guessing Seadall or Alcryst. Harder to guess for wlw.
  13. You may be right but I am under the assumption that you have access to check the support convos/log early on in the game which is how they'd know if there are S supports or not. I'd rather they say that didn't have access/manage to reach the part of the game with social mechanics yet instead of making it sound definitive, it just makes us more curious and jump to conclusions. I am excited about the gameplay though, it looks more fun than Three Houses tbh.
  14. We saw from the Somniel video and today's Twitter post that you can still talk to others between maps, have tea time with different characters, workout with them, dress them up etc..so I think there's actually plenty of social sim mechanics in game. Which makes me think they're hinting at the lack of S supports which is arguably the most 'important' social mechanic for FE fans that play for the social sim aspect. Which I guess is also why they said those fans may be disappointed. It also matches with the lack of romance tag in the Japanese rating for the game. If it's true, it's a very strange decision to make.
  15. Gamespot straight up saying 'slant away from social sim mechanics from Three Houses might disappoint some' makes me think no S supports.
