  1. Doing it for Archanea is ridiculous and yet it's exactly what they have done :^) Kill me please At least they didn't do it for the Thracia New Heroes banner. But I don't agree with your opinion at all. Sure it's not as much of a tragedy it if happens to a game with few characters left, but I still don't want to get one less unit for absolutely no reason. Give us minor NPCs for all I care. Mustafa, Candace, Hestia and so on are enough proof that you are willing to do it. So do it. JUST DO IT!
  2. Nope. In the last Archanea banner they gave us two alts (Merric and Caeda) and 2 regular characters (Arlen and Yuliya) with a GHB Castor. No instant demote. Which means we would have gotten two alts (Azura and Takumi) and 2 regulars (Mozu and Hayato) with a GHB Candace. The precedente (and to be fair there is only two cases) is that when we get 2 special heroes who aren't OCs we only get two units and GHB with no demotes. The same thing happened with specail heroes Ivy and Hortensia that only had two regular characters (Rosado and Kagetsu) + GHB Mauvier. No demotes. It is asbolutely bullsh*t but it is what happened so far. I hope that they change their minds and either give us only one like in this new banner, or make instant demotes the norm.
  3. The one character I am 100% sure we will see is Veyle. Other than that I really hope Maria wasn't a one and done and we will actually get Fallen Nyna. She needs an actually good version, come on! It would be cool to finally get a Deadlord, and Fallen Greil is long overdue. He is literally one of the first character I thought of when the concept was introduced.
  4. Not gonna lie, Candace was one heck of a goated pick for GHB, it really made my day. Fates has been really good about giving us cool bosses and NPCs for GHBs instead of boring playable characters *coffcoffCastorcoff*. Xander was the exception at the very beginning, but they have been great after that one. Can't believe so many people wanted Shura. He can be put on a banner! The limited GHB slots need to go to the capturable bosses + Zola, Kilma and Kohtaro. And there are not enough slots anyway. Anyway, the even better news is that they put only Azura here as a special unit. We had precedent for expecting to see Ascended Takumi or something, and no Yukimura which would have sucked. Let's hope this continues to be the case going forward. With Mozu and Hayato in the game one of the three major groups of characters, the not-corrinsexuals is finally done. Next is the corrinsexuals and the kids. And I guess the Playable Bosses but I'm under no delusion that ALL of them will get in. It's more likely for us to actually get all 8 Elibe Legends in the game.
  5. Oh don't worry, It's not like I'm not guilty of making overly long comments as well. I see what you mean tho. Tailtiu is often compared to some other fan favorite characters like Nino and Marianne for being good people who lead really tragic lives and who met tragic ends... I mean if Nino kids are orphans... you can imply what happens /tho in Marianne's case tho it's only if she isn't recruited that she meets a tragic end). But with Nino and Marianne there is more nuance + they have more screentime + their big moments don't happen off-screen so in comparison I guess Tailtiu is really underwritten. Well the good news is that a Remake could easily give her a lot more to work with. Not to mention other minor characters who need it even more (Silvia, Midir, Arden, Lana, Iuchar/ba, ANNAND!)
  6. You dislike Tailtiu? Intersting, I'm curious as to why. I don't think I ever met a Tailtiu hater before. The general opinion online seems to be to either love her or be neutral towards her.
  7. Yes! And he is in Heroes actually. Check your Grails menu, you can get him for your team right now.
  8. In case anyone cares the 3 most wanted characters from Echoes are now. 1. Jesse 2. Nomah 3. Deen (base version) Unexpected to say the least, since I was sure Deen would receive more votes than Nomah. Maybe his fans are satisfied enough by his alt? Oh, and if we count NPCs base Rinea places way higher than all three of them so I 100% expect her to be the star of the next Echoes banner together with an OC with Jesse kind of thrown in just to add him. Also a funny coincidence is that after being added in the last banner both Mycen and Hestia dropped in votes as was expected. But this year they both received the same amount of votes. They are tied with 55 votes. IDK it's a bit funny to me.
  9. Final Ballot: Fiona, Misha, Yuliya, Touma, Mae, Bernadetta and Rosado. The first four were for the sake of getting them in the game. Then I was moved by the rally to give Mae and Boey one alt at long last. Bernie and Rosado are simply my preferred choices for the win who were on the interim results, but as I said before I would like almost all the top candidates this year if they won.
  10. I'm surprised nobody suggested them yet since they were often brought up when talking about Harmonics that make sense because of Heroes like the very first one (Mia and Masked Marth): Midori and Eir: They add a really cute Forging Bond together. Nyx and Dimitri (War Phase): Same as before Also: Lara and Inigo: Thanks to their very recent Forging Bond Camus and Zeke: Come on, if we can have Anna and Anna, Tiki and Tiki, Byleth and Byleth and so on we can have this. If I had to suggest a Duo other than the ones already mentioned like Mae/Boyd: Zephiel and Guinivere: This could be interesting no matter what game they pick. Their adult selves could have a very deep and interesting conversation about their different views on the world and humanity. Their kid selves would be icredibly cute and it could also be an excuse to get the little FE7 Guinivere in the game as backpack just like how the little FE7 Lilina is a backpack to Hector.
  11. Vote for Mae from Echoes so that she can finally get an alt.
  12. Just watch as Raimi, Garrick and the village Maiden who can be Lucina's mom sneak in out of nowhere like ninjas.
  13. Now that I think about it a little more. This banner kinda fits Tormod in a way. Nabata is a place in which dragon people and humans live together as equals. And Tormod is all about humans and dragon people (and bird people, and cat people, and dog people) living together as equals. He would absolutely love Nabata. So this is a pretty fitting alt for him all things considered.
  14. Noire has been added as a Summer Version a few months after the first year anniversary and still has no base version.
  15. Look at it this way, not only there's the fact that he is lucky to be in the game at all, given that the Dawn Brigade, the remaining Greil Mercs, the remaining Laguz Royals (it's Skrimir, Kurth, Rafiel for the banner and maybe some kind of related GHB? Izuka? For all the bad things he does to Laguz? Dheg is mythic material obviously) are all likely/guaranteed to be the next three New Heroes banners for Tellius in any order. Which means the first free slot for the New Heroes banner would be in like 5 years. You could have had to wait 5 more years to get him in the game at all. Instead he is here now. But also, when five years finally pass and all the obvious thematic banners for Tellius have been done, the three base versions of the Laguz Emancipation army + Attuned Sanaki (she has a connection to Tormod and is popular in Heroes. The GHB can be a senator idk) sounds like one of the few thematic banners they would think about doing. Which means not only Tormod, but his buddies two would habe two versions in Heroes by then. Not too shabby considering that some very popular/with vocal fanbases characters like Kaze from Fates and Sumia from Awakening still can't seem to be able to get a second version after YEARS.
  16. OR, and stop me if I sound crazy, a lot of Fire Emblem Heroes players have never played any of the other Fire Emblem games (or at least just the ones that came out after they got addicted to Heroes, so like Three Houses and Engage). If you were in that situation, and knew nothing about ANY of the characters but still loved playing this mobile game for other reasons (maybe you really like the gameplay idk) and so had to base your yearly votes around the designs of characters + what little personality you can deduce from the quotes, which character would you have most likely considered cooler and more striking? Perhaps the lady with abs that dual-wields freaking greatswords, and was also gifted to every player so you are 100% guaranteed to have her? Just throwing some possible explanations out.
  17. No, it was Adult Tiki that got more votes that year.
  18. There's also the possibility that they are not planning to add base Lifis for a while, since much like Geese and Darros, Pirate banners alts for Pirate characters are close enough that it's not the worst kind of seasonal hell to be in. OR they are planning to add him as a GHB and GHBs don't get forging bonds. So for all intents and purposes THIS will be his only Forging Bond.
  19. I gave my first vote to Fiona. Will probably vote for Misha tomorrow and continue giving votes to characters not yet in the game. I guess it's lucky that the characters more likely to win from Engage are already among my faves (Yunaka, Alcryst, Ivy). It will be next CYL that will be a problem since I will seriously need to think about the DLC characters from Engage (+ Merrin) who will obviously not be in the game yet.
  20. Which standards of democracy you mean? Even democracy (unless we are talking about Direct Democracy) has more caveats, more checks and balances than the easy to explain to toddlers "everyone has one vote, and whoever gets more votes is elected". Modern democracy tends to take into account stuff like certain ethnic groups, certain territories and even certain genders having less people (so less votes) which means there's a risk of them not having enough numbers to be represented, which means we could technically have a more unjust system if everything was decided on a simple "majority rules". Now, a simple popularity vote for a mobile game isn't as important as electing the government of a nation, and there are certainly flaws in CYL as is (like, what happens if a non-binary character like Limstella, or Sommie gets first place? Do we get five winners?), but I personally like that they established unique rules and limitations as opposed to "no limits, simple popularity contest". If you think about it, even excluding previous winners is an arbitrary rule that not every type of democracy agrees with. There are democratic countries with limits on the number of times someone can be elected, while others don't have such limitations. You can argue that the latter is the more democratic country because if someone is so wanted that they get voted every time... democratically speaking it must mean that they are the best person for the job! But is it really like that? What if yes, half the country does support that person that always wins, but just a little under half that same country (we are talking 51% vs 49% of votes) supports another candidate. It's a grey area because yes TECHNICALLY we are respecting the will of the majority, but at the same we are repeatedly ignoring a minority who understandably could feel oppressed and that could digi-volve into a big fucking problem if nothing is done about it. Let's say that Lyn is available to be voted every year and wins every year, that must mean that she is what people want and if WE the PEOPLE vote for a new busted Lyn every year it would be undemocratic to not let us have her. Except that now people who don't like Lyn (and for what we know they could be the majority of the playerbase, just not organized enough to push 4 different characters above her), or grew to dislike her because she always wins, are unhappy and might understandably become a little toxic, which could make the community a really bad place for Lyn fans. Such problems are solved because since the start IS didn't allow a character to win multiple times (even though democratically speaking there was no reason to not allow that) and I don't think Lyn fans feel oppressed or anything because they don't have the freedom to vote their fave in the popularity contest. Most Lyn fans are fine with it. And most fans are fine with their fave losing even if they were technically in fourth place without a gender split. Everytime someone like Chrom arrives third among males I often see fans getting angry at the male in second place and getting salty at fans of that character/cheking who would be their main rivals for the next CYL and reorganize. Very few people ever point out/get salty that technically he had more votes than winner Eirika, and even less people ever propose we do away with the gender split. If the gender divide system is unjust compared to no gender divide I can't say but what I can say is that 99% of the players don't find it unjust. But I can bet that a LOT of players would find the no gender divide system unjust, especially if it leads to 4 winners of the same gender (which to be fair didn't happen even once, but is theoretically possible) which would lead to dissatisfaction and toxicity. Look, I don't pretend to be an expert and I admit perhaps the playerbase would be more accepting of your system than I predict, but the point I want to get across is that things like "direct democracy", "absolute freedom" and "complete equality" are awesome on paper, but lead to a lot of problems when applied in reality. This doesn't mean that they are bad ideals or anything, and we SHOULD strive to get as close to them as we can while we avoid the pitfalls that they bring, but things are often more complicated and less rational that they appear at first because we humans are complicated and not rational. I hate to use this example, because it's the one example that everybody always brings up when they want to prove the danger of simply respecting the desires of the majority without asterisks, but it is the most effective example: The majority of citizens of Germany elected Hitler perfectly legally and democratically. I think we don't need any other example to prove democracy as it is is not foolproof and needs to be carefully adjusted.
  21. Pretty happy with this banner, especially because people were doomposting that Thracia would keep getting skipped untile after summer, and that obviously didn't happen. Also Tina was my most wanted and she got in with an amazing PRF to boot. Yes, getting three female characters and only one male is pretty weird, but maybe they are compensating for last Thracia banner that gave us only 1 female character (Karin) and three males despite Thracia being one of the few casts with enough girls left to give us multiple at a time + Karin wasn't even the most requested female character at the time. Sure "Compensating" is a bit of a weird term when Thracia (like all old FE games) has more males than females left to add, which means it's actually a good idea to give us only 1 girl and 3 guys on every banner in order to not run out of girls. But, and this is one of the few times I will be a doomer, if there is a cast that seriously runs the risk of not getting all its characters in the game before EoS it's Thracia. And Archanea, but mostly Thracia. And if some characters from Thracia are not getting in the game, it makes sense for IS to prioritize female characters to not risk even one of them getting left out of Heroes. Because even if someone like Amalda is as much as an unknown nobody as Troude to the general public, it's way easier for them to make people with no prior knowledge interested in Amalda rather than Troude. ^^^^ I mean, just look at what happend with Lara. People went from not knowing her to caring about her in the span of a day and it's not hard to see why.
  22. 1: Tina (Thracia 776) I know, I know, I'm a bit late here, but Tina was my most wanted Thracia character in your previous topic and would have been on my list if I noticed this new topic sooner, so I don't count this as cheating. 2: Misha (Thracia 776) 3: Jeanne (Genealogy) 4: Yuliya (Mystery of the Emblem) 5: Fiona (Radiant Dawn) 6: Giffca (Path of Radiance) 7: Nuibaba (Echoes) 8: Rosado (Engage) 9: Hanneman (Three Houses) 10: Ladislava (Three Houses) 11: Marni (Engage) 12: Madelyn (Engage) 13: Mozu (Fates) 14: Ayaha (TMS) 15: Ephidel (Blazing Blade) 16: Vaida (Blazing Blade) 17: Pamela (Genealogy) 18: Franz (Sacred Stones) 19: Ismaire (Sacred Stones) 20: Layla (Fates)
  23. 1: Lute 2: Brave Veronica 3: Nanna 4: Mist 5: Soren 6: Titania 7: Clair 8: Rebecca 9: Laegjarn 10: Beruka 11: Ylgr 12: Camilla 13: Tharja 14: Helbindi 15: Raigh 16: Abel 17: Selena 18: Olivia 19: Mae 20: Lloyd 21: Gwendolyn 22: Clarine 23: Setsuna 24: Clarisse
  24. I think on this particular point we agree. It might be for different reasons but I actually would love for IS to follow-up on Freyja's existing characterization and actions, instead of sweeping it under the rug. But I have low hopes for it. I can already see the "humans aren't that bad actually, I was wrong" moment coming and it makes me mad because it doesn't make a lick of sense.
