  1. Hardin's betrayal itself was truly heartwrenching. on squad names, timings of cavalier reinforcements and story: his entrance & subsequent backing really made that arc of Book 1 go smoothly iirc a comparison between OP's Lamia example and the "Coyote" or "Wolf" ? squadron comes to mind
  2. i see we have similar "generational" FE tastes..it must be the fates. jk i havent played that one regardless, lamia, i do not recall the name specifically but i 1. remember that squad (and udderly destroying them) 2. respect that you started with a woman from FE4, as the emphasis is on.."generational conflict" and "optimal pairings" because i would have started with Ayra (Aira?) as she and Eyvel (also insinuated to be Briggid) are in my opinion: "single mothers tryna make it." they are introduced as protectors, as opposed to the foil of "damsel in distress" Deirdre(s) and Lachesis(es) that occur throughout FE. it started with Navarre and the Dancer trope, played in reverse which brings me to the characters in the next installment: Miranda + Eda. i agree with both because i fielded both as part of "playing for the season" benching and unbenching within same class. but in terms of minor charactual impact i like Lara the most from 776. dancer turned thief turned dancer and no one appreciates her enough for it except maybe a King of thieves we like to call a Pahn. this is where i shut up and pay IS more money for feeding my Sword Skill Satisfaction Rating; thank you for yet ANOTHER Navarre and the Dancer, played in triple 777 (in a game where im playing for the season, we won the championship in a halfstep of overtime. 1 step, 2 step, dance) regarding the Blade installments i had a switch up to riders on the ground. respected the loyalty of Lance (a throwback to Fin?) throughout his support conversations and resonated with the sussy bakaness of Sain through his ability to Deep Six like a Navy SEAL and make it out alive (and flirt while doing it.) however, i have to note that i compared both to Camus & Eltoshan, two major characters in the same vein, although from different generations. it would be difficult, however, in my opinion, to find worthy comparisons to "the most able man on the continent" and the wielder of the darkest, demonic holy weapon for riders in the sky, i have a soft spot for Est as i actually trained her against all advice. really needed to know what the triangle combo was about on my first playthrough of my first FE. in addition, i remember that either her or her sisters having some drama with Abel & Cain. by comparison, the royal family of Minerva & Michalis was Always Sunny, I'm Sure as far as favourite minor character of all FE goes though, mentioned here a few times, it is in fact: Navarre. the name itself holds special meaning for me and everytime we find him, he's doing the vigilante thing. he just cant stop, won't stop
  3. in case anyone asked where i was this morning when everyone said good morning to each other [haiku?] how? i figure much? time time? 0-7-13..seconds [/haiku?]
  4. this is a great idea, i agree with it. which leads me to a question..what do you think happened to the Member Badges for Everyone? are you able to see who other people choose as their (main) Lord or Lordess? it may be an important foundational question for your next native forum fix thanks for the report, would you able to investigate the issue outlined in the content above? thanks
  5. trying out my own, would love opinions directly in the thread as usual, 3 days and 3 nights, correct? and the battles in-between based on - the Lords' desire to know their guiding hand (currently playing FE7) influence - discussion within myself while playing about 2/3, triangles, and the wolves/foxes/lions we train(ed) with. "is it, or will it, be just enough to win?" n0--- player: "who was he to you? the brother you lost" leader: "he was an Outlaw..a Living Legend Amongst the Shooting Stars" n1--- player: "so. did he bring peace to the Empire?" tactician: "ours..or theirs..and as an Envoy, i wonder this often as well" n3--- player: "anything, you know. before he died?" strategist: "to me, he said 'i bring Death, for Sloane.' and i replied: i'm on my way"
  6. i apologize for the incoherent, possibly long rant; thank you for reading tl;dr - in a game where the war is never ending, why does the warrior wallace not just enjoy his promotion after his demotion? i must confess, i read the wiki on wallace
  7. keep us posted, King personally, i wonder if im itching to play Chrono Trigger or Fire Emblem right now and figure out some squad formations..or just for fun? watch some DBZ Abridged, idk
  8. any opinions? i would look at tags to start.. i personally really like how they break the 4th wall with the dialogue of course to open; but then i start imagining conversations between my Tactician and the ArchSage himself. i often wonder if they planned it this way currently on the chapter where we recruit Wallace and i had to look him up. didnt want to spoil myself (will most likely read the support conversations,) but was surprised to learn about how involved he was in House Caelin's introductory story to the strife within the Lycian League: racist undertones? country bumpkin vs city slicker? who's hot vs who's not in a game of pick my units anyway? rightfully so, these are my emotional opinions on the choices Wallace makes..i confess i do not pick him up as a unit: but his timing is impeccable as always. some of these soldiers serve with the utmost distinction in deployment strategies we are simply thrown into, and have no reason to solve. so we rescue & recruit him in the chapters he introduces himself, of course, but we also want to know a bit more about this, IMHO, Wallace / Oswin archetype (an old man who still serves) - influenced by this post i once wrote i realize i'm assuming a lot here, but what if FE7 is the "choose your own Lord" archetype game. we all get excited upon Lord (units that are normally chosen for us) promotion, correct? Lord Eliwood receives a Lance & a Horse upon promoting..in my opinion, a reflection and a throwback to one of the strongest (main) Lords in the series: Sigurd from FE4. although they both chose to ride out in different ways, both results ended in war: one as a Rescue mission, the other as a Search party. Eliwood's "farm" after the game? i do not know yet, but hints have been given in certain ways already Wallace's "farm"? he leaves it to go BACK to war. and he remembers his promotional medal this time..but why? i think its the retirement Lord Hausen of Caelin would promise to those in service to their realm under war (should Lycia have gone to war with Sacae over the "elopement" of a Caelin Princess?) on the subject of elopement, my assumption is that Lord Hausen replied "this must mean she loves horses, so lets send some horses after her." knight commander vs sussy baka commander, right? another game of pick my units, but of course, on a micro scale. "we must protect my only kin" "your brother's too old" "you're the rightful heir (or is it..YOUR rightful heir) tee-hee~" all his confidants say, right so the main question here concerning this war within the Lycian League, is why do these men such as Wallace / Oswin never receive the Lord's promotion we always want for them? i believe Wallace's impeccable timing of promotion & recruitment within the tutorial is this promotion we always wanted for one of the regulars. therefore, Lord Hausen's never-ending mission for Wallace, from what i know of him: "i know you're here for the girl. im here for the cadre" as a soldier would or is it "im here for the princess. i've always been here for the princess. so say we all" as a prince would

  15. 76,430.. i came here to take the even numbers out. the dual wielders who dont trade weapons anymore..
  16. howdy. im originally known around here as..well you all know my pen name if you know the website. right? so the real question is having the aspect of customizability..as long as you are creative about your "moniker" you may be creative about your "name holds meaning." my e-mail? first name, last names initial, 0-4 more letters and the @ sign mind if i shop myself real quick? see how i already am doing it: according to "quotebook cookbook" the best responses are the ones you can quote. this explanation really sums up the vote i have for using a pen name. i'll leave y'all with a free quote from the book im involved in: "some put pen to paper, others put blood to water" if you understand, you understand. if you don't, you don't (hint: we're on a forum about a game with weapons in it.) therefore, the logical bibliography quote for the quote above is: "the pen is mightier than the sword" so a "moniker" student replies, "if tested by water itself, does it become ink? or blood? i believe this is the final question of the quote and how to let it cook"
