  1. Disliked >> Liked Lorenz: I thought he looked really dumb and I wasn't a huge fan of his personality. When I read his supports I started to understand where he was coming from. He seems to be thinking about what is best for the future of the alliance. He also looks a lot better after the time skip IMO. Honestly, I think he's one of my favorite characters from the GD now. Raphael: I'm still kind of conflicted about Raphael but I'm pretty sure I like him now. Originally, I didn't like how one note he was about eating and building muscles and tbh it still kind of annoys me. However, he is really sweet in a lot of his support conversations which makes him extremely likable. Like I said, still conflicted but I think I like him now. Admittedly I haven't gotten to play BL or BE yet so I don't have very strong opinions on those character. Hopefully some of those characters can surprise me too.
  2. On the topic of Corrin I think the IS had a difficult job balancing a character that needed to be the main protagonist who makes the decisions and drives the story, but also had to be an avatar that the player could see themselves as. In my opinion, Robin was a lot more successful as an avatar because he/she wasn't the central focus of the story. This is why I hope Byleth takes a similar role as Robin instead of being the main protagonist.
  3. I always want two things from my fire emblem games: fun combat and some great support conversations. These two things are what got me into the franchise and they are what keep me coming back. I think that the combat is at least good in every fire emblem game I've played so I'm not too worried about that. Good support conversations make me a lot more invested in the characters so I really hope IS makes them better than ever. I have a couple of friends who are interested in Three Houses so I really hope that this game shows them why I fell in love with this franchise.
  4. For me personally, I think I'd prefer Byleth to be silent with the assumption that he/she isn't the main focus of the story. I hope that Byleth ends up being more of a supporting character and the focus is the leader of the house you choose. I guess I'd just find that more interesting than Byleth being the protagonist. However, if Byleth is the main character it would be really jarring for them to be silent.
  5. This is something that I've thought about quite a bit. The complaint that fire emblem is becoming "too anime" is sort of deceptive because it implies that making something more anime-like is somehow wrong or going to result in a sharp decline in quality which probably isn't the case. I think that when someone complains about Fire Emblem looking "too anime" I think they are actually complaining about the games looking generic. I understand the concern even though it doesn't bother me that much anymore since it isn't at the core of what makes the Fire Emblem games great. Who knows, maybe the art style will grow on you after a while.
  6. I guess I'm leaning towards the Golden Deer at the moment. No real reason for it other than Claude's design is currently my favorite of the one's we've seen. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we know if the decision will affect the story (my guess is that your choice won't affect the story in a significant way). If the choice ends up affecting the story and one of the paths looks a lot more interesting than the other two I might reconsider.
  7. Oh the poor, poor sonic fans... I didn't know the meaning of terror before watching this trailer.
  8. My school did a musical where I was cast as a school mascot. I got to dance around in a big mascot suit which was a lot more fun than it sounds. The name just stuck after that.
  9. I'm cautiously optimistic about Three Houses. Fire Emblem games are usually quite solid especially when it comes to gameplay so I'm not particularly worried about that part of the game. What has me worried is how the characters and story are going to be handled. I think IS can really improve on both of these aspects and if they do Three Houses might be one of the best entries in the series.
  10. Hi, I've been coming here to look at Three Houses news every now and then. I decided to make an account so I could voice my opinions In some of the forum discussions taking place since I find them quite interesting. My favorite Fire Emblem games are easily Blazing Sword and Path of Radiance. They are part of a very small group of games that I have the urge to replay again and again. I'm currently nervously anticipating Three Houses. Although I'm skeptical about some of the changes, I have a feeling that IS is going to make another great entry in the series.
  11. I think the class system (or at least what we've seen of it) seem interesting. I know a lot of my friends who played Fire Emblem Awakening and Fates really enjoyed the ability to create super units using a mix of skills from different classes. It also looks like this system helps players who aren't sure how to train each character which is a nice touch for people who are intimidated by that aspect of the game. The ability to choose which house you decide to teach it is also a pretty good idea since it makes replaying the game more interesting.
