  1. It might actually not be the boobs and could be the dragon. Let me have a gander at the potential remaining dragons in the series. Since they're inexplicably still cucking Dragon Laguz, that one seasonal aside, the only likely dragons we haven't seen (not even in the context of Fallens) are...Yahn, Morva and Sombron. Yeah, we are definitely at the bottom of the barrel dragonwise. And even for alts of existing dragons would be repeats since they've put all their eggs in one basket and insisted on giving us nothing but dragons for Halloween several years running. So, yeah, they could be milking Lumera for all she's worth because they've exhausted most other dragons. With hindsight, I think GHB Lumera was probably not the best choice. She was a free unit anyway, so she wouldn't have pulled in much cash. Nelucce would have been the most appropriate boss from Engage's early game to get the GHB treatment. He has slightly more focus of the minor boss crew and being the first human boss with revival stones is kind of memorable role for the series. Unless they were hoping Lumera's boobs would sell copies of Engage. Well, at least, if it is some dragon bias, that puts Morva in good standing for fallen next year. EDIT: Nel and Nil are slipping my mind there. They're also dragons we haven't seen yet, and which ever of them is also called Rafal is a good a candidate for a fallen as any other. So we might see him push out Morva next year. I'm going to second this. She went hard with that delivery on that line. Lumera is a curious choice in that regard, since she's basically an end game boss while Morion and Haycinth are mid game. You'd think Lumera would be saved for later and hyped up a bit. Get some distance from her Mythic version. But Heroes has rarely if ever tried to play the long game. And I'm sure she would sell more than Htacinth or Morrion.
  2. Very surprising banner. Only Blazing Blade and Engage. No one at all is surprised about Veyle, I'm sure, but it is a bit surprising they gave the premium spot to Lumera of all people. Kind of weird that Engage is scarcely a year old and we have three Lumeras already (and no Wille Glanz). I kind of wished they'd given Mythic Veyle Misercorde so Fallen Veyle could get Obscurite instead of something she never actually does in game. But I guess our first Veyle had to be a tome user. Still, what could have been cool here is if her attack was actually using the Fell Dragon Crystal whatever the time travel mechanic she steals is called. Or hell, just gives us Misercorde as a tome and call it a day. It deals magical damage in Engage anyway and it's not like they haven't done weird stuff like that before. Byleth wields a sword as a tome unit and Alear has dragon punches. Ursula is definitely the most surprising one here. She was of course on my list, but not only two morphs, but tripling up on Blazing Blade characters. Wowzer! Feast well Blazing Blade fans, feast well. Unfortunately, I feel like this means that the Morph who most deserved the Fallen Spot, Brendan, will probably be overlooked next year. I say he's the most deserving because that's the only incarnation of the character you actually fight in the game. Though, on the other hand, maybe that means he's a shoein for next year. I doubt it though, as he's not really completing a set, since Uhai, Jerme, Kennith and Darin all exist too and there's no way any of those guys are getting in. But the big news really is that Nergal is finally in the game! We can stop bitching! Unfortunately it seems to be in his base form, like Ashnard, so we won't get mad Nergal summoning the Fire Dragon any time soon (and by that I mean ever). All in all, I'm very surprised, though not necessarily disappointed, they didn't give us give us a Fodlan character. Also a shame they seem to have no desire to break into the Thracia Deadlords and aren't in any rush to make the Archanea Fallen Maidens a set.
  3. If only Mr Sigurd wasn't busy having a bath at the time, he could have used Pugi himself to chase off all the baddies before Eyvel returned. By the time Eyvel was back he decided Osian needed the experience so sat back to let the kids handle it. Plus he had to pen a letter to his brother, Mr Random Berserker of Millefeuille Forest.
  4. A mounted class with swords and lances is just a cavalier. If we want lances Eliwood and rapier reference, make him infantry with swords and lances from base. It cavalry can have two weapons at base then why can't our main lord? Then for promotion he gets his horse and also axes for full weapon triangle advantage. And regular Paladins lose their axe rank in FE7, but only FE7, so Eliwood essentially promotes to a FE6 Paladin.
  5. I think his is actually the most salient reason. GBA FeBuilderGBA didn't come out of nowhere. The GBA hacking scene already existed before that, it was created because of that scene. And people probably gravitated to the GBA games because they are more accessible that the SNES and easier to emulate than anything afterwards. Also, who doesn't love those GBA animations? Trying to hack a Tellius or DS animation would involve actually learning to rig a model and animate in a way that looks good (and SNES models just don't look nearly as good).
  6. Extended amount of time, no, not really, but I do think some amount of time if you're going to say in good faith that you have issues with it. It's at least going to be more informed than saying it's bad because of what other people have told you. Of course, anyone who isn't interested in playing Thracia, or any other game, because of its reputation is fair enough. But "It doesn't seem appealing to me" and "it's bad" are pretty different things. That really depends on the scales we're dealing with. If it's What You See is What You Get, then I think it's very fair that she took all eight of her warriors out to deal with the pirate threat, because she probably needed every fighter and she didn't think there was much chance of the village being attacked while they were away. If there are a lot more soldiers than what we see, enough she'd reasonably have to spare then leaving some behind is a wise enough decision, if only to hold an enemy off until they return. Alternately, Mareeta and Nanna were the force defending the town and they fucked it up. I bet Nanna's staff missed right when Mareeta needed a heal.
  7. It's good that you're a masochist, because that's a useful trait for a Fire Emblem player. Even though this is turn based you might find it being a lot harder than you anticipate. There is just a lot of data to sift through every turn. Experienced Fire Emblem players might few the series as easy, but it's really not. It's very punishing for even minor mistakes and it's very easy to make mistakes. Path of Radiance is probably a good start with that in mind. And, unlike most people, I'd actually recommend the first game in the series to you. Unlike most series that started on the NES, the first game has the reputation for being the easiest in the series, but it should still help you get the flow of the gameplay. Most people are turned off by the pretty poor UI, but that's... probably less of an issue for you. On the other hand I'm not sure how much external support would exist for an old NES game like that.
  8. Funny thing is that the lower boss you randomly picked there is one without any dialogue at all. Not even a death quote. Though that same portrait is used several times for generic NPCs.
  9. Marty does have the niche of 15 base con and a 75% con growth (that's literally twice as much as the second highest con growth). Which quickly gives him the ability to capture anyone that functionally can be captured. You see, the reason he has that 0 skill and speed base is also to help him capture enemies. Because you can't halve nothing!
  10. Which of the games have you played so far?
  11. Well it is a traditional Japanese folk tale. We can't dismiss the possibility that Kaga had outright forgotten he'd already used this idea. Though considering that it's the exact same item, it doesn't seem that likely.
  12. When in doubt, Pegasus Knight.com パトリシア] あ、おにいちゃん! いいものあげるよ これ、役に立つんじゃないかな?▼ [ハルヴァン] ? ・・・このオノは?▼⇒ [パトリシア] よさそーなオノでしょう?▼↓ この前、裏山を歩いてたとき いずみの中から出てきた ヘンなおばさんにもらったんだ▼↓ でも わたしにはあんまり必要なさそうだし おにいちゃん、使ってよ▼ Which according to my pheromonal powers of having an automated translator can tell, yes, this instance the translation is authentic. Kaga was the one to make the joke about axe lady throwing axes at people all over Jugdral. Not sure I like that myself, as I like thinking of axe lady as a Verdane centric local spirit rather than a transcontinental being. If she's just casually existing all over the continent then why isn't she helping out more to fight the Lopt Sect. We could do with a lot more Brave Axes lady >.>
  13. I'm staring and staring at those two portraits and I'm really questioning if they're different at all. If I were on my laptop now then I would have overlayed them on paint.net by now. Are we sure the wiki hasn't just accidentally uploaded two Leif's? She has the best personal skill, which Lil Manster shows on the skill screen. Literal immortality! Oh look, it's Sigurd! I think a lot of these villager dialogues are not accurate to the original Japanese text by the way. The translator wanted to liven up generic villager dialogue with jokes and stuff, to... varying results. First Gaiden map is just outside Ram Village. You can even go back inside the village boundary in the gameplay if you really need to use a healing tile. I did not know that. So if one of them is dead you can't get the Gaiden, but the survivor just shows up along with everyone else? Yeah it kind of felt off for me too. I'm guessing her Little Leif and Little Nan stuff is an attempt for the translator to localize her saying Leif Chan (or possibly Kun) and Nanna Chan. But it doesn't quite sound natural, at least to me, in English given the context. Like, it's a pretty serious moment.
