I prefer the power to heal others without losing health, an ability exclusive to only every staff user ever. But you have to think... In the first couple chapters, you don't have a healer. That makes sacrifice that much more important.

Found another way to get the Bolting The only things you need are Heather, someone with high skill, and Disarm. If it works, the sage should have the Bolting equipped. If not, move someone with Provoke within 10 squares of him. Attack, and if it works, Disarm should activate. Heather can then steal the Bolting. This works, but the Haar tip works better. Still, if you really want a Bolting but lost Haar in Part 2, try this.

It's definitely worth it to train Heather. Not only can you get the Bolting, but she has the best speed cap in the game (breaking 40)

I mean why waste time trying to 2-turn a map when you can get like 10 times the XP killing all the enemies? It's the only way I've managed a tier 3 Edward in part 1.

oh man where do I begin? I mean there was 3-2 and stealing the bolting but 3-6 has the untransformed Volug and Beastfoe thing 4-4 was sweet... You can RECRUIT THE BOSS! I say the best was 4-E-2... Who knew Zelgius was the Black Knight? total shocker

sothe vs. heather... no point in debating volke (even though he isnt a rogue, but an assassin) is way better
